Sounds like the US is getting involved, they are sending a Aircraft carrier to avoid Iranian shipment of weapons and supplies to the rebels.
Dude, I'm glad to hear the bombardment is over. Stay safe, man. I don't know about a reward, but you've certainly earned the eternal respect of a lot of FPers, for whatever little that's worth.
Give him gold?
War is over.. The war is over THE FUCKING WAR IS OVER. Logically it isn't, but there's only a few things that can sort off after a few days. The bombings has been stopped and some black commando was talking about how to restore hope. Do you know what this means? I can sleep again, and also that means electricity will be back on order, the water factory will be reopened and we can finally go outside. I have all rights to say and I mean it I can say the *I survived the war for this* Quote. Do I at least win a reward for surviving a traumatizing experience.
I saw that the Saudis stopped, this is great! I'm glad you made it through the war, hopefully situations for Yemen get better soon, you guys could really use it.

And they've announced a new "phase" in their campaign. It may not quite be over yet.

Yemen has a lot of issues going on currently, and will for some years. Least .Greninja can have some good nights sleep however.
Killing Floor 2 saved Yemen praise tripwire
So I was having a nice day, with pure electricity with no smell of patrol from my generator Took a nice hot shower which I couldn't do for 2 weeks because the heater wasn't on Had a fun time playing Metal gear rising and looking outside of children playing football and than the Power Facility got blown off and explosion start happening Everything is getting bomber man So no electricity again, and basically everything is being destroyed again Wave 2 has started.
http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN0NC24T20150421?irpc=932 wave 2 indeed
Yea, they resumed after the Houthis took a military base in the South. No telling if these will continue like the previous ones or if this is just limited.
So Today I went outside for the first time, as if I went outside more than going to the supermarket next door and come back. There are barely any Taxis excepted since there is no Patrol at all and the whole street is empty, most of the shops are closed and the ones that aren't are just waiting for some luck, half of them also seems to have their windows cracked as if there was some showdown rob everything you can moments, but they all said to me it's from the pressure of the bombs, luckily barely anyone got hurt. It's like fallout 3 at the moment Remember my Cousin who I said in the previous Sensationalist Headlines where I can run to him incase anything happens? So today Rebels came to his house and Literally stole his Car, Thankfully they are all safe but if the Rebels were able to enter a big mansion with guards in it easily without anyone noticing, Than is there even a safe place to be?
were you at least able to restock your supplies?
Could be the guards didn't want to fuck with them because it could mean the signing of their own death warrant I never wish for anyone to live through a war, it's all dumb and I'm sorry to hear you have to go through one I hope they stop this again and hopefully stop it permanently
How are you on supplies? That is pretty crazy about your cousin, the guards must've been scared and didn't want to die.

Aden is literally destroyed, it's horrifying and there's literally nothing more than a pile of rubbles, I spend with my mother calling my cousins and trying to figure out how to help them escape from there since morning. We barely can communicate each other, the calling signals are beyond workable it's like trying to call people through a tin can. Aden is way, Way worse than Sann'a, I mean they even barely have food and water and everything is blow to hell. I have a feeling this will not end well at all.

looks like things went from bad to worse http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1462259 please get your family out asap, this has shitty written all over it
I'm really confused with what the hell is going on in Yemen, I've no idea who's fighting who or why. I guess I don't follow the news often.
Sunni vs Shia if I believe correctly.
Good luck man. I hope you find a way to get through that.
I'm really confused with what the hell is going on in Yemen, I've no idea who's fighting who or why. I guess I don't follow the news often.
The Houtis, who are Shia, are rebelling against the Sunni government. The Houtis have moderate support from Iran (way less than the US and Saudi Arabia claim) and so Saudi Arabia, who is in their own little Cold War with Iran is committing to a proxy war with them through destroying the Houtis. Then you have AQAP, or al Qaeda in Arabian Peninsula, which is the largest and strongest branch of the terrorist organization. They've taken advantage of the chaos to expand from a terror group to actually claiming land. This has drawn the US in (who has been doing drone strikes for some years now in Yemen) and because Saudi Arabia is a mutual ally, the US is now supporting their strikes against the Houtis even though their concern is AQAP. A Shia rebellion along with their main extremist rival al Qaeda both gaining ground in Yemen has attracted the attention of ISIS/DAESH who are Sunni and have political/theological disagreements with al Qaeda. The Houtis have been around since the early 2000s but only recently gained large traction in their insurgency/rebellion by taking the capital of Yemen. They're fighting because they believe the government of Yemen is oppressing them, which at the time of the start of their rebellion was likely true because Yemen had a dictatorship led by Field Marshal Ali Abdullah Saleh, but he was ousted during the Arab Spring in 2011. Ironically, Saleh and the Houtis are accused of working together to bring him back to power, which Saleh denies so much to the point of asking to be evacuated from the country with his family.
That's a really nice explanation, now I understand what the heck is going on :D Still seems like a big cluster fuck out there though, and unfortunately the civilians are the ones paying the price as always...
Didn't you say earlier Gren that the Saudi's had some deal where they would move citizens of Yemen to their country while the war is brewing? Now would be a great time to take that offer, then go to a country's diplomat service in Saudi's capital and try to get a refugee visa
To Fruxodaily, I would if I could but the airport in our place is closed and currently controlled by Rebels. Let me explain you all how is the situation between Sann'a and Aden, Imagine both of them as a Sanity meter of some sort. Aden is basically a hell hold, Everything is already destroyed and dead, you basically dead or will be physically injured without having to lose a sanity since you have a chance of 1 to a million chance to survive if you stayed in Aden, but you also have 1 to a million chance to even get out of this place. Sann'a is more slow like a painful emotional pain since it's like you in a room, with friends and family and having fun with lights and partying, but just imagine them one by one, leaving you behind, first the partying, then the lights, and than there goes your friends, and the ones that you expected to stay for you, is gone. Let's talk serious discussion about Aden, it's literally Destroyed as I said, it's horrible, like all kind of horrible, The Rebels have gone worst people you will ever meet, They will steal your Patrol, or even force it to take it from you even if you have less than a half of a gallon, they will stop your cars and take out it's patrol and leave you on the streets just to refill there war machines, they even started taking the roofs and sniping citizens who crosses the street which is there territory, They killed children, women and men just because they walked on the street territory. My sister in law, a Pretty lovable person, had a sweet 4 year old relative, nothing ever hurt anyone, he was kind to everyone. But now his dead, all because Rebels saw him walking on their street and shot him. What about my Uncle? she was living in her home peacefully, and all the suddenly the Rebels came in her house and shot the hell out of everything, they destroyed her house, stole her car for patrol and Walked away. What about me? Everyone is asking me how am doing? I just keep saying am okay,Honestly Am not, I live in fear, I can't sleep, I have headaches and my Mother is turning into Max Payne cause she keep taking pills to take out the headaches. I live in the dark, I had to use a bucket to clean myself. There's not a good chance am not going to make it out in one piece aren't I?
When there is rain, there will be clear skies after. I can't imagine what it's been like for you, but you will survive this. You've made it this far you tough bastard. I (and I suspect many other users on this site) check this thread multiple times a day to see how you're doing, please stay safe.

I have been getting random electricity, usually lasts an hour or less, or even less than 4 minutes. Although the electricity is currently on am going to type quickly to inform news that I found today. They might explode a Gas Station, which will cause a huge explosive, am not sure which street, but it could be in any street including mine. Let's see if am getting Gas Burns tonight.
Fuck dude, that sounds scary. Last thing I wanna know before going to bed tonight is you getting hurt. Stay safe, brother.
It seems electricity has been coming up more often lately, also it seems nothing has exploded yet, will nothing related to Gas Stations. although anything can turn at any second so am not going to be confident about it just yet. I appreciate all the warm comments about staying safe and so on, it's nice to hear that someone on the other side cares. Although I realise the War Routine seems to happen from Dawn to all straight midnight, they basically for some reason like to shot all night long, since when I wake up I barely hear any gunshots or explosives at the morning. Seems everyone has time for breakfast.
My lovely shitty situation this month: The Garbage Trucks has stopped coming for a week and still didn't come yet, the whole street is a pile of rubbish. Another reason not to go outside other than dying by a bullet. also apparently my Tank Gas is half empty so after a few days I might not able to cook my favourite Red Beans and smell it's deliciousness dipped oil massacred beans. I got something special for you all, I was able to grab some pictures of situations in Aden (I Apologize if the pictures are too big) As you can see, those houses weren't even close to war areas, they were blown, By the Rebels, and also Thanks for the Air strikes Over Hundreds of people are homeless or dead now. Imagine just having a normal day, out of the blue, Flames are coming and now you realise that this day might be your last. History Time: 60 Years ago Britain Took over Aden and build houses made of Wood, it was pretty unique at it's time since most of the Yemeni's houses were made by Cement and Stone. after Britain was kicked from Aden, the Houses were used by Random families living peacefully. But now it's burned to hell. It's all gone, half of the families in it either died or living on a street under some cardboard box. Might as well put a sign that says Welcome to Hell, Enjoy your death by Napalm.
