The conflict in Yemen: everyday stories from a Yemeni Facepuncher

So today's news is a bad one for the Rebels:
The Rebels decided to do an idiotic move which is to attack Saudi Arabia Doors which startled them and anger them so much that the Saudi Arabia destroyed the hometown of the Rebels which is Sa'dah.
In Fact they pissed off Saudi Arabia so hard, they literally Destroyed this big special Graveyard which was made for one of the dead Family Member by the Rebel Leader.
If Saudi Arabia has been bombing the hell out of you since you took over a large part a country, the best course of action is totally to piss them off even more... Hopefully the rebels will get themselves killed without killing more innocent lives. I know that's not going to happen that way sadly, but hopefully this ends soon.
While it may seem insensitive, I can see that your bug out suitcase is packed with uneccesare stuff, sure, it may be expensive and such, but I would rather pack stuff like water, dry food, warm clothes etc, than possessions I feel attached to, or consider expensive, if I had to get out fast and survive. Not sure if it's intended for that, or just a general "If we need to get out of here fast, we can survive" thing.
Still, a very interesting thread and read, and I can only hope for the best for you and your family, and all others involved there.
I am kind of curious, though, has the stress that the war has been putting on you, made you more aware and paranoid of crows and such? Keeping an eye over your shoulder, keeping your back against walls etc, aka PTSD?

The second, it was just symbolic.

Shit has been always the same, and he watched some gorey stuff like bombings and car accidents since he was little, so he is "more or less used to it". The problem comes that this situation is being long on the time, and well, being forced to be at home always is not good. Especially when you are hearing closely bombs going off and gunshots, without being able to sleep.

True, I have seen and heard similiar things, albeit not at a scale anywhere close to this. Suppose it is a bit hard to have a baseline if you've been growing up with shit like that, though.

The second to last line of his post gave me the impression he was taking that stuff too, the photo was just of personal things of his.

Some things are just too sentimental to be left behind.

Look as how the civilian casualities skyrockets.
Everyone Remember Ali Abdullah Saleh?
So here's what he did today, So his House or Fortress is on a really tight street that involves alot of citizens, and Saudi Arabia decided to try to bomb his house only, so Saudi Arabia did that but his somehow alive and literally mock Saudi and told them among the lines *Try to hit me again*
So they did it again and caused deaths to few citizens and all the sudden he comes out and says *Who's the murderer now*
He literally planned to put his house among citizens and told them to use air strikes just to prove a point.
Even though it is also Saudi Arabia fault for using air strikes on a tight street which also happens where my Sister in Law parents are living including the Russian friend who might get us out of here (Both of them are okay though)
But in all honestly that man is a Cunt.
Saudi Arabia has assembled a "massive" additional force on its border with Yemen after trading heavy artillery and rocket fire with Yemen's Houthi fighters, a day before a proposed truce takes effect.
Al Jazeera's Mohamed Vall, reporting from Riyadh, said Saudi Arabia's defence ministry announced on Monday that a "massive" force had reached Najran on its way to taking its position on the frontlines adjacent to Yemeni territory, following Monday's exchange of fire.
He said the ministry did not specify the size of the force assembled but stated that it included advanced armaments capable of fighting in rugged mountainous areas.
Footage showing rows of tanks and armoured personnel carriers loaded on military vehicles headed towards Yemen were aired on a Saudi-owned television channel.
The Houthis said they fired Katyusha rockets and mortars on the Saudi cities of Jizan and Najran earlier on Monday, after Saudi forces hit Saada and Hajjah provinces with more than 150 rockets.
Saudi Arabia's civil defence department said one Saudi national was killed in the shelling in Najran, which it said targeted a school and residence adjacent to a military post.
Russia is only a "checkpoint", as he will go after to another country. He has mixed feelings about returning someday or not.

That should explain the sudden dramatic increase today, the explosions caused a huge impact that the whole street was shaking.
Let me tell you a true fact, when living at the middle of war you could either go into depression which I did for a whole month before I even thought of thinking about making this thread, or you just all around panic and crazy and forget that sleeping is actually a basic function which your body relies on, which unfortunately I did that too for 3 days straight. but today I seen a man that add a new chapter.
So as always I wake up wondering if today they decided to use nuclear weapons so I can finally have my fantasy to do a real life fallout 3 experience, of course that would be true if I even slept yesterday, I don't think two hours count, as always I wake up, eat my massacred red beans while looking at my blank monitor due to the fact there is no power. I kinda miss my TV, as I was eating I heard a knock on my door, as you all know I have trust issues these days, pretty sure if anyone at my place should be, also because I got a car that has a Saudi Arabia License Plate so basically if a Houthi Rebel sees it he will go all religion on me and decides that am worse than Hitler.
So I lean closer to my door and asked who's out there, I heard a sound of a adult man, for some reason he kept calling me Doctor or Doc in Arabic of course, as I slowly open the door to see who it was and also trying to make the Saudi Arabia License Plate not visible, I was surprised what I seen though.
It was an Adult man as I said, he was wearing a green camouflage outfit which I actually seen alot it's the outfit for the Yemeni military although the outfit shirt part is open so it looks like a jacket, I checked though he didn't have any firearms, but I didn't dare to go closer to him cause from all I know he could have had a Knife on him, he was carrying on his hand a Carpet? he also carried several more Carpets on his back like a Sword handle or something you gentleman call it in English.
But I think he was..
I think he was fucking high.
His face looks like he forgot the difference between the ground and the sky, he looked stone and he even talked like he was stoned, he kept calling Doctor or Doc and I just replied *am sorry but am not a doctor*, but he just ignores me and calls me Doc, and then he tried to sell me a Carpet, I think among his lines he said that it was a *ticket out of here*, I have no idea what he meant but I gently said that I didn't want to buy any, He then looked at me with a *your loss* Expression and just waddles away.
I acted as if I was going to close the door so I can see what he was doing next, he went to the next door neighbour and literally calling my neighbour *Doctor* over and over again.
I just closed the door, I just went inside my house and I had to think for a moment.
That man watched too much Aladdin.
Perhaps he names his carpets doctor and was just trying to tell you he sells doctors.
Quinten Tarentino pls send rescue group/camera crew to Argo greninja to the US
Before I write a full essay of my miserable life there has been rumours that the Rebels captured some Saudi Arabia soldiers and held them in the Airports so they can stop the Air Strikes from bombing it, although am not completely sure.
Yesterday there was news where the Rebels felt sad and realised that all those pathetic screaming and shooting at people brought nothing but destruction Which I should call this the most ultimate *No shit* in the history of my forsaken sad short existence I ever heard in my entire life (They literally said that they have been wrong all along)
So as way of peace they decided to do an agreement with Saudi Arabia that we should stop fighting for 5 days straight starting from today to resupply our citizens with food, patrol, gas tanks and to fix electricity.
As I who experienced a dramatic traumatizing for 2 months straight I called this a bull of a sack of crap.
Today I decided to go outside and grab myself some supplies but in my surprise they were actually cars on the streets, like moving function cars, I wondered myself and investigate and I realised there was an incredibly long line to the gas station, the line covers a whole street, I realised that every person is holding a small gas tank, They were right they actually supplied us with gas tanks, Gas tanks can be used on Motors and Cars so it's like grabbing a gallon of patrol so it's basically still a Win.
although luckily I still own some gas on my tank so I didn't wait in that huge line, also because I found a dude with a Ak-47 and the whole place is filled with gas,I felt very uncomfortable so I didn't want to stay there at all.
So I kept walking, Remember when I said they stop sending Garbage Trucks, yeah I forgot about that until I realised the whole street smelled like if a pig decided to poop on a horse poop and than Britney spears decided to make a music video out of it. Basically it smelled horrible I almost vomit, even a few citizens burned it down just so the smell can go away.
I continued walking until I reached to my favourite fast food, odd enough this area is filled with fast food restaurants somehow my favourite one was still active, must be a lucky day, I grab myself some pizza and decided to head home.
The whole day I didn't hear a single explosion, no shaking, no screaming, nothing. and I thought to myself this might be a good start.
Just before I take out a slice of pizza and start eating it. I heard my wonderful neighbour, Explosions.
I can just hear my hopes flying away, Yeah I have a feeling when am leaving this place am not going to come back, the only reason I would think of coming back if the war stopped for a bit and I can go back and collect things that I couldn't grab with me.
I mean sure I can comeback, maybe someday it will approve like Dubai but it's been 11 years, am really tired, I really am. I love this place, it's beautiful and I had wonderful friends, But after all this I can't really expect coming back here at all, I mean I want to learn animation and modeling I can't do that here at all. for god sake even before the war we always had problem, that should have been fixed long ago, I mean we still live in a pathetic old age, not even the good old age.
I went to a trip last year to Europe, where I visit Paris and Spain, it was like 2 weeks and a half, it was basically a School Trip, it was the first time ever visiting Europe, and I had a few friends including my mother in this trip, and even though I had idiots in there but nevertheless, I mean in this trip, I felt happy, relaxed and surprisingly enough I have never felt like this in my whole 11 years in here I even rarely touched my laptop when I was in that trip, hell I even forgot that Yemen even existed.
I mean like you have to go to a level, where a place you never visited before, felt more comfortable than the place where your own Family were born at.
God this whole post feels miserable.
damn dude that all really sucks and i feel for you, but rated funny because
smelled like if a pig decided to poop on a horse poop and than Britney spears decided to make a music video out of it
haha what
i like your humor even when you're facing such a difficult situation
stay strong man
Today's Weather news:
Intense strong winds that literally pushes doors and moves metal borders, also causes cool hair blows for long hair organisms.
Today is odd really, I actually woke up, and I did not hear any explosions at all, neither any cat intercourse, It felt really odd, I actually spend the whole morning at my garden, there was no human voice at all, all I could hear was the wind going through the trees and birds singing.
For a min I thought I was actually dead, but it felt so quiet that it caused me a complete uncomfortable feeling, I guess today they start this 5 whole day peace agreement
(If am not counting the explosions I heard for 2 minutes literally an hour ago)
although I heard the airports are able to get Aeroplanes now, so that should increase my chances of getting that Russia invite, The whole place is silence, no electronics on, no lights, no sounds of children playing outside, It's like whole place is forgotten already.
I wonder how this 5 silent days will go.
Heard the lines at the gas pumps are insanely long, although no explosions.
Alright it's been awhile I will try to report this as a paragraph of both fourth and fifth day of the peace agreement.
The Fourth peace agreement was still going and I haven't heard explosions at all and it's been a really really boring day, I mean imagine 20 hours of no electricity, so I decided to go outside to the other streets since there is no more chances of getting blown up to peaces and having your organs sold to McDonald for a new burgers. I decided to go to a street which is popular for having a buttload of fancy stores, and to my not surprise, most of the stores are closed and the ones are open just tells you that most of the Store owners left the country, including the Dough nuts shops, also did I mentioned before how the whole streets smell like shit, like it's someone decided to do the Olympic shitting Marathon, it's more annoying than disgusting really, also at that day I fell down the stairs and I literally hurt both of my knee so I had to walk like some old wise man, also the patrol stations are all being filled up with huge lines of cars and people, and they literally charge people 20,000 Yer for a gallon of patrol, but it was a really, empty boring day.
The Fifth of the peace agreement.
The Fifth day morning was the first day I actually got used to waking up at the morning without hearing explosions to set my moods, the first thing I did was to move out of my bed and fell face blank on the floor cause I forgot about my knees, so I had to literally waddle a bit to get my Tea, although my Mother suggested me to use an Ointment which is made by *Herbal and Natural* little did I know I realised that Nature actually hates me and the moment I put it on my knees I had the gut feeling to vomit all over because of the smell, the smell was so horrible it felt like if Piglet from Winne the Poo decided to give The Trees the right to poop the fuck out of everything, after the horrifying experience of this so called Nature Ointment, I decided to go outside again, since there are now many cars around, Taxis are more a bit more pricey which I can not complain about due to the situation at the moment, as I was watching the streets I realised it was still smelling like an Olympic shit Marathon, as I look more further I come across a nice looking park that surprisingly doesn't smell like someone made Pigs as Rocket launchers, I was looking at children enjoying and playing the playground, for once something that isn't miserable and than we move to two inch and I forgot that the park next door is literally a big graveyard so basically the government concept was to let the children say Hi to there grandpa every time they came here, afterwards I came to the next street and I realised I found holes made by the rockets and I can honestly say those rockets are either made of plastic or our street floors are actually really tough, as I also more further and further, all I keep seeing is basically closed stores, although I did reach the Yemen Mall, and I have no idea what Saudi Arabia had against that mall cause it's just dead ruined, after I did my business, there's nothing really anything to do here, it's just basically a city with most of there stores closed and the only ones open is a bunch of supermarkets, also they still didn't fix the electricity, also for some reason it's hot in here.
Also the Government kept saying they bought a ship load of patrol, but all the gas stations saying they barely have any at all, it's been 3 days and they keep saying the same thing over and over and over.
Also the Rebels has literally took over Aden so I can see why they did the *Peace Agreement*, but holy hell just imagine the fact that one of my family friends going in there, and is afraid to tell my cousin that her house is basically full of dead bodies, you can't live like that at all thinking about it.
Am basically packing most of my things to the Attic and keeping the important things to my bags cause once I go out of the line there is no going back, also there might be a chance I can grab my car with me if that happens that's a big win.
Although am now safe and sound, all am getting now is boring, lying city at the moment. They said at the news they going to increase the peace agreement, so let's see how it turns out.
http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/05/17/yemen-security-iran-ship-idUSL5N0Y804X20150517
What are their plans?
Saudi Arabia has began airstrikes over Aden again.
Its almost painful to read. I really hope you and your family make it out alright.
Saudi Arabia has began airstrikes over Aden again.
oh man. I hope our lad is fine
oh man. I hope our lad is fine
Am currently fine, I did hear explosions when I woke up so the news I just read explains it.
Although today was a pretty odd day.
First I woke up at the morning but it was pretty early the reason for that is because I got a phone call, so I decided to answer it even though I was pretty tired at the moment. The moment I answered it I heard these words in Arabic.
*Hey Doctor* in a really long expression sound.
and than all the sudden it just closed, and I checked the number, it was an unknown number, afterwards I had to think for half hour to realise that a mental disable Aladdin fan just called me or something without me telling him my phone number. I decided to ignore it and drink my Tea and practice on my Sketchbook.
After 1pm my father called me out, he sounded really serious and I asked what's wrong, his answer got me a bit confused, He said to me that He kept hearing Snake hisses at 3am and he literally shows me a random hole believing that a Snake is in there somehow, even though he did not see it, I really didn't know what to say since I wake up every 4am at the morning (for religion reasons) and I didn't hear any hisses, also the Hole he showed me was way far from my house so either he has super hearing or the hisses sounded like a Nuke bomb.
as I just agree with him like agreeing with a Mental disfunctionly puppy, I went inside enjoy my lunch until my mother comes to me saying that our cat Fluffy wasn't our cat yesterday, She tells me that it was an Clone of her, but only more filthy, (I did see my Cat a bit filthy for some reason), I actually had to go to my room and hit myself with a bloody pencil sharper to make sure am not dreaming.
And than I realised that I kept hearing explosions, but that's not new, I mean at this point hearing explosions for 2 months straight will just make you annoyed more than panic or anything.
Also for odd reasons there are alot of Russians in this country that are getting a free ticket out of here, Why is there so many Russians?
I apologize that am not bringing any news related to the conflict but I didn't find any new things in here other than the place still stinks and we still don't have electricity. Although the neighbours got so pissed off over the smell of the Rubbishes so they decided to burn them.
Nevertheless it was a really, odd day.
haha Russians are everywhere
