No because when I get up it'd be fucking incredibly cold.
My mate does this EVERY time I stay over his. I swear he gets pleasure from watching me freeze my tits off.
I'd rather keep my window closed, especially when it's -20 F outside with the wind chill around -40 F. That's on an average night, last week it was -38 F with the wind chill at -54 F.
If I did that around here I'd wake up with over 40 different species of spider chilling in the room.. and maybe a squirrel.
We always pay for heat the same ammount a month even if we don't use it.
What? No. What the hell are you talking about.
The heat goes out the window?
As Greended said, yes it goes out, so what? Here it doesn't magically increase the heating or anything, it stays the same as it was.
I always do this during the summer and most of the autumn, but around December it get a bit too cold. Not so cold I couldn't fall asleep, but rather so cold that getting up the next morning would be excruciating (if I even wake up). Currently it's around 20C below here.
I do this quite often, and I live in Finland, and here is pretty darn cold.
I do this, because at night, its chilly and smooth, and at mornings its so cold you have to get up and open the windows, and that's a good way to wake up quickly.
I do this.
As Greended said, yes it goes out, so what? Here it doesn't magically increase the heating or anything, it stays the same as it was.
No. No it doesn't. Do you even pay the bills?
Unless you have your heat completely off it'll just run all night because all the heat leaves through the window. If you have electric heaters or central air then your electric bill for that month will sky rocket. If your heaters are oil based then you can guarantee you're going to be quite low on oil compared to usual.
Shit isn't magical, nothing works for free.
spiders omg :(
Or if you once had a high up bed and your like a few inches away from the ceiling.
Dear god what a memory..
I do :)
You get sick from bacteria and viruses. Not the cold. Are you a 1950's housewife?
What if the viruses invade through my window!
As my room has some insualted shit on my walls and there twice as thick as the rest of my house it gets amazingly hot in here. So my window is always open.

B-but aren't we all?
I must have joined the wrong forum D:
I usually just turn my fan onto high.
Saves money, and less chance of waking up in the morning with the flu.

What if the COMMIES invade through my window?!
Wow, I really hate having the automerge interrupted.
Jesus Christ, it's not that great. I can't believe someone thought this deserved an entire thread.
The radiator was broken in my room when it was -30 celcius. Needles to say i felt like shit when i woke up. My throat still feels like a bitch.
I have to, my room is next to the boiler, which is broken and has gone into overload
My window doesn't really open.

Have fun when it explodes.
My window doesn't really open.
What kind of house do you live in?

Oh right. We run 24/7 water radiator heating. So it is on all the time.

Then your eleteric bill goes up.
[editline]01:29PM[/editline]
That or whatever it is you use to heat it.
[editline]01:30PM[/editline]
Nothing works for free. You would understand this if you weren't a child and actually paid something.
I used to do this, but now I have tarantulas and shit in my room and I don't want to hurt them :frown:
I have to sleep with the window open, my house is normally too hot for me. If I want to sleep, I have to be completely comfortable and really tired or else I just lay there rolling around for hours trying to get to sleep.

Why are you so cynical?
Why are you so cynical?
Because I'm sick and I can be.
