You get sick from bacteria and viruses. Not the cold. Are you a 1950's housewife?
the cold lowers the efficiency of your immune system, thus making you more susceptible to illness
I do it sometimes, and yes you feel very fresh the next day. It's a great feeling.
You said Fucking Incredible but failed to link it to Facepunch.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING MAN?
Oh, and I'd do this if it didn't make my door go BANGBANGBANG because it wasn't installed correctly.
I do this, with the door closed and the heater off. For the purposes of not driving my entire family bankrupt.
No. No it doesn't. Do you even pay the bills?
Unless you have your heat completely off it'll just run all night because all the heat leaves through the window. If you have electric heaters or central air then your electric bill for that month will sky rocket. If your heaters are oil based then you can guarantee you're going to be quite low on oil compared to usual.
Shit isn't magical, nothing works for free.
Except your mom every Tuesday night. :smug:
Does anyone else do this? It feels fucking incredible if your under a blanket while the window is open. The cold is extremely refreshing, and the warmth of your blanket feels fantastic while its cold. Your sheets also feel fucking incredible, it puts you in a good mood for the next day also. It's easily the best part of your day.
I advise you to try it atleast once a year, or on a daily basis.
your logic is flawed since you eventually, you know, have to actually get out of bed
The apartment I live in is freezing cold already, so every night I'm wrapped up like a mummy to keep warm. It's nice.
Except your mom every Tuesday night. :smug:
It's become a standard practice; every post containing this emoticon is a putrid joke that bombs horribly.
No, but I sleep with a fan on high 365 days a year.
I do this, and my house doesn't have any heat, so no extra bill.
spiders omg :(
No worries, by now you at least ate one spider in your lifetime while you were asleep.
Dont like rapists come in and rape you during the night?
Dont like rapists come in and rape you during the night?
Where the fuck did that come from
I love how no one mentions that the problem with this, even if you pay the same no matter what, is the indirect waste of natural resources. Which will drive up prices even more the next year.
My radiator goes off at midnight, I can't change it. Room gets cold as fuck at night. But it is nice being under the covers all warm
No, I actually prefer it to be warm, when it's too cold it keeps me from wanting to get out of bed.
When it's -30C and the pipes will freeze and explode...no
It's -30 out. I'm not doing this.

Also, if you have a heating element that runs on steam, it can break if it freezes!
I always crack open the window when my gaming computer warms up my room like a really good heater.
I never open my window, even in the summer. I attribute that to my chain smoking number that lives right below. He never fucking stops, ugh.
I also really hate feeling cold at all.
No because when I get up it'd be fucking incredibly cold.
Didnt we stop doing this like a year ago
You get sick from bacteria and viruses. Not the cold. Are you a 1950's housewife?
The colder your body is, the weaker your immune system gets, making you more susceptible to diseases and viruses. Essentially, it's not the cold itself that makes you sick, it's being cold that could make you sick. So I've heard, anyway.
I love doing this, however it sucks waking up with a stuffy nose. So usually I avoid doing this.
I fail to understand why OP doesnt get billions of useful rates

Close your door, put a towel under it to prevent air from escaping, then close the vent.
:ms:
This is what it was last night in my room:
[img_thumb]http://filebox.me/files/442fmrewr_.jpg[/img_thumb]
I sleep with the window open every night. I don't have heating in my room so it's all good.
The cold is but a minor inconvenience for me. I'd actually rather feel cold than warmth. It makes me feel more active.
I usually sleep with mine open because my parents turn the heating up really really high in winter and it reaches a point where it's actually hotter in my room than it is in summer..
I would, but the temperature being around -20 degrees Celcius I rather not.
