If i do this here in Norway, the chances of me ever waking up is around 0%
Same with Canada
Close your door, put a towel under it to prevent air from escaping, then close the vent.
:ms:
This is what it was last night in my room:

Interior walls in houses aren't usually insulated. Plugging up the door isn't going to do anything, you're still causing the entire house to lose a lot of heat.
Too cold in the morning.
If I do this, my dad will yell at me for letting money fly out the window.
My room usually drops to 54-52 in the evening and at night (without my window open). Our heater is pretty much broke upstairs, so it's always below 60 in my room. Which is why I use a electric blanket, so I'm never cold.
With the -25 to -30 degrees Celsius-weather that there's been here recently? Fuck. That.
Then your eleteric bill goes up.

That or whatever it is you use to heat it.

Nothing works for free. You would understand this if you weren't a child and actually paid something.
Some electric companies offer a standard pay plan where you pay so much every month whether you use no electricity or triple.
I have this.
Wouldn't it just be smart to sleep outside?
Does anyone else do this? It feels fucking incredible if your under a blanket while the window is open. The cold is extremely refreshing, and the warmth of your blanket feels fantastic while its cold. Your sheets also feel fucking incredible, it puts you in a good mood for the next day also. It's easily the best part of your day.
I advise you to try it atleast once a year, or on a daily basis.
and then you wake up the next day and don't want to get up because it's so cold
:<
Did it once when i was at a summer camp in the mountains.
I woke up the next morning and i felt so great while under the covers.
Lifted them up, freezing air came rushing in and i nearly jumped a foot out of bed it was so bad.

I do this every day in the winter, and every morning my dad yells at me for keeping the heat on.
I forget a lot. :saddowns:
You should only crack your window open slightly. Having fresh air while you sleep is healthy.
It was -15C here today, I think not.
For me, my room is oddly dry, so an open window is good for my respiratory system. It lets in some moisture and natural stuff from nature.
Do this all the time. even better, where i sleep means that my face is about two feet away from the open window at all times.
extreme sleep.
i do this all the time cause its always fucking hot in australia
Last time I tried this, it took me days to get my room back to any kind of reasonable warmth. Central heating in this house sucks. Barely works and it's costing us a fucking fortune.
I only do it occasionally. I'm afraid condensation will build up on the walls and in electronics.
I always leave my window open, sometimes it rains on my face when I am asleep.
That's not rain.
Later that day:

In Central Utah? FUCK NO.
Can someone explain to me how the heating bill goes up when your heating equipment is running at the same rate all night, like it would if the window was closed?
Fuck, I did this last night, too cold. I woke up at like 2 AM and I couldn't move without getting rid of the warmth. So I just closed it and tried to warm up.
I'd rather not do it on the winter, -17 to -22C is fucking cold. Thin walls is just enough for me.
:milk: driving your parents heating bill up the wall.
My house doesn't have a heater and I usually leave my windows open all year to get fresh air. I suspect the OP is living in a completely different climate to yourself.
you guys are pussys, its 30- in norway atm and i sleep with the window open. (im a viking)
That's not rain.
:smug:
I would probavly wake up with snow inside my room and my cat crapping all over the place!
No, I actually prefer it to be warm, when it's too cold it keeps me from wanting to get out of bed.
Same, if it's really warm under my quilt and really cold when I move my arm from under it and feel the cold, it just makes me want to stay in bed even more.
This is the major flaw in this plan.
I use a fan instead and it's so nice and comfortable.
Then I regret it in the morning because I'm fucking freezing.
