Would have suggested just using medication to see if you could stop it, but it's so far gone if medication worked by some miracle the fish would most likely die from starvation from not being able to eat.

It doesn't have eyes, though. I sure as hell wouldn't want to live after eating my own eyes.
There probably is someone who could help you, like a fish vet or something, but I doubt it'll be cheap and you could probably buy [b]2[/b] new fish or even more for the same cost. If you really like him though, have a look around!

Guys. It's not going to live. At this point it would pretty much be inhumane to keep it alive. Just put the poor thing out of its misery.
I've been a fish keeper all my life. This is just beyond anything you would have at your disposal. [I]unless[/I] it was a rare, super expensive fish, you could do surgery, but it would still not be able to eat good and would die in a few weeks from starvation.
Just put it down and give him his right of passage down the porcelain express.

The way I kill any of my fish is to put it inside a plastic bag, take it outside and smack it against the wall a few times.
Pretty sure it's instant, Just make sure the plastic bag is strong enough else you'll get fish brains all over the wall/yourself.
I let nature take its course, although my fish usually die from old age. :smile:
