The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Hercules were the best. I never really liked Lion King

Pocahontus sucked, the Lion King was a rip off of a Japanese movie, and Princess and the Frog was fucking retarded.

I'm not denying that it ripped off a lot of elements, but I know there are some sites out there that are stretching the truth to aid the rip-off case. Like I saw one site that said "the villain of The Lion King is Simba's uncle, but the villain of Kimba is his aunt." Apparently the writer of this never saw the show, because the character they're referring to is only posing as Kimba's aunt, and is only shown in one episode. They'd do a lot better to mention that the main villain is a lion named Claw, who looks exactly like Scar, right down to the darker fur, black mane, scar across one of his eyes, and idiotic hyena minions.

Ripoff or not that doesn't stop it from being the best thing they ever made. So far as I know they both "rip off" Hamlet anyway, maybe they just both had really similar ideas about turning that into a kids thing about lions? [editline]07:35PM[/editline] I always thought Liam Neeson was wrong for the job of Aslan, the lion king portrayal of such a voice is like a million times better for that job.

The Lion King. Fuck yes. Also, casting Tony Jay as Frollo in The Hunchback was one of the greatest decisions ever made.

There was no evil uncle killing/usurping his brother, and Kimba isn't all bloodthirsty for revenge. He has an opportunity to avenge his father's death, but ultimately decides that revenge doesn't help anything, and it'll only make him worse to kill those people, so he lets them go free. It's kind of like the main character in Kung Fu. He always talks about how nobody should ever result to violence, but keeps getting drawn into situations where it's necessary

If Lion King was a rip-off, then you could say that the original Star Wars trilogy was a rip-off of many other classic films/stories (It's actually a sort of 'retelling' of them, which they form together for SW to have its own story)

I watched Hunchback over 20 times. Pretty sure about that.

The Incan Emperor one was the last good movie imo. It managed to catch the last of the wave before the era ended and the shit came along.

The Beauty and the Beast is the bees knees.

We we so lucky to grow up with these movies, i could rewatch any of these anytime, but the new shit that Disney spews out is just horrid. Princess and the frog was a step in the right direction though, with the cool villain song and all.

I hate new Disney. It's too happy. It's happy all the fucking time, so much that it cheapens happiness. The thing that makes the classics great is the conflict, the fear and the [del]sex[/del] human emotion. Without that you just get a hollow shell whith no substance and no emotional response.
