Lotsa towels, Oil, coolant, a toolbox, window cleaner and brake cleaner
nothing this car has been too reliable and i've become complacent :V i used to carry a full tool set, coolant, oil, funnels, rags, flares, reflective jacket, etc that car was unreliable as shit
It's nice to have a reliable car, from my first car, the fall apart catalina to the accord has been night and day. I only keep all that stuff in there because I fix other peoples crap all the time.
I got storage space now so I can take half the ahit out of my trunk [editline]2nd October 2014[/editline] I also don't have to walk up a hill and flights of stairs
nothing this car has been too reliable and i've become complacent :V
This is silly, you're going to get stranded one day and feel like an idiot for not carrying a tiny little box of tools/supplies with you
nothing
or feel like an idiot for not carrying every tool ever made with you and survival gear for 3 people for a week wait i mean feel like an idiot for carrying all that shit and still have something break and strand you
I just have my spare tire and a wrench thing for it and a car lift up thing
This is silly, you're going to get stranded one day and feel like an idiot for not carrying a tiny little box of tools/supplies with you
The only time I've wanted tools in my cars is pretty much when I take apart bits of interior while my GF is driving in the Civic. If something breaks it's going to need to be towed home anyways or it can be ignored until it can be fixed.
This is silly, you're going to get stranded one day and feel like an idiot for not carrying a tiny little box of tools/supplies with you
Yeah. Car breaks down and I'll have to survive 8 months in the wilderness with that survival kit and tools I have in my trunk. Or I take my phone out of my pocket and call a friend to tow me home
Some people really are going over the top with the things they carry on their cars. I thought it was essential items to get you home, not enough gear to survive in your car for a month and do an engine swap at the roadside.
All I've got in my trunk now is a tarp, my freeze gear, a pack of bottled water, a couple cans of food, and my sub box.

Because racecar. :v:
None in my trunk cause it won't open it got jammed. I just carry a tire iron behind my front seat with some scissors and pliers.
None in my trunk cause it won't open it got jammed. Some cars have an opening behind the seat even if they don't fold down just for such a thing or to reduce weight.
Back seat entrance is possible, but a 240sx trunk hole is too small to fit much in it especially with a sway bar in the opening in the way.
Back seat entrance is possible, but a 240sx trunk hole is too small to fit much in it especially with a sway bar in the opening in the way.
What year 240? Imma do some research.
1995. The trunk opening for mine has a swaybar in the opening that basically blocks anything from going in. Although I can easily take it out with a socket and put stuff in, just having the sockets on me though and taking out the back seats at a time not at home is a lot of hassle to be doing.
Well that sucks, I did find out that ~one~ of the 240s has a valet lever in the trunk, if you have one and can reach it try flipping it and see what you get. You might have some luck, a working trunk is worth a shot. Here is the lever in question: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/HHnywlT.png[/thumb]
Yea I've been trying to find one in the back of mine, but it almost seems non existent unless you have an S13 240sx.
Aside from the spare wheel kit all I have is a few litres of motor oil and some rags. I actually have coolant and a toolbox but they aren't in there at the moment.
I got 4, maybe 5 spare wheels, a fast food menu, two jack stands, jumper cables, some oil, and a water bottle.
Don't bimmers come with a small tool kit anymore?
Yes, it has a small tool kit. Small. It has a screw driver and a tire wrench. And a tow-hook-eye. That's pretty much it with the exception of the first aid kit.
This is silly, you're going to get stranded one day and feel like an idiot for not carrying a tiny little box of tools/supplies with you
I know, and I'm going to put some stuff in the trunk soon because winter is usually when bad things happen. I also always carry emergency supplies on road trips. But all I do every day is commute on major highways, always in range of cell service, and I have BMW Assist that'll help me out if I were to wreck and become unconscious. I got a few MRE's that I'm going to store in the spare tire area, a basic mechanic's toolset, and some of the shit that used to be in the old car. Fun.
I have all this crap ecause I go way out into nowhereland on a weekly basis.
