I have a penny that's made of steel from some war we were in and they needed all the copper for bullets and shit so they made pennies out of steel.

Even if he was the only one who didn't, you would be wrong :downs:
Meh, I have some Roman coin that has Emperor Tiberius (I believe it is) on the front. Researched it, found the exact coin I was looking for and found out I'd only be able to get a few thousand for it... Ridiculous how coins this recent are worth more than that.
Impossible, only 5 were made and they were made by accident, they wouldn't have made one in 1911 and in 1913.
Unless you just mean just a 1911 nickel in which case, lol.
No, they made 5 1913s. I'll take pics of mine if you want but I don't feel like it now.

I was being sarcastic hahaha, but still interesting.
My grand dad had a coin from 1522. He had it in he's pocket and it fell out.
Yeah, for every valuable coin on earth theres another one that some moron drops down a drain or something
I thought anything over 80% pure gold starts to get very soft, how is that coin 99%
Should be pretty heavy too
Now that I think of it, I once had a chance to buy a coin worth over a thousand bucks for $5. To bad I didn't know it was worth so much. :(
I remember a while back in Australia some geniuses had the idea of minting a certain coin denomination made from silver.
Pretty soon people all over were finding these coins, melting them down and selling the silver, as it'd be worth maybe 5 times more than the actual coin itself, this left the government wondering where the fuck all their X type of coins were going.
So they made more.
Eventually they realised though and stopped making them with silver.
