Fix Up! Look Sharp v11: "there's like 8 of us here"

i mean obviously there's good branding and bad branding
an example that's overused is supreme, they have plenty of big box logo pieces that can be considered overbranded but that doesn't mean they don't have just as much unbranded shit that looks good as hell
e.g. nike, adidas, jack&jones & lyle & scott are some i would never wear, they're so narcissistic it's not even funny
I'll settle for branding if the product the brand is on is the very article of clothing they sell.
I got a few of these shirts which I rarely wear out except to maybe rock bars which'll have branding on the sleeve and what not. (edge warning ask your parents before viewing)

narcissstic is not a word i would use to describe brands, especially adidas especially since it's so in style right now

like idk where this dislike of brands come from

because there could be something good looking on there instead of them showing themselves?
it's the same with phones, like why the fuck have the brand on the front?? it just looks stupid, who fucking cares what brand you have??
you've said it yourself, you're not that interested in fashion. you might not care what brand you wear but a lot of others do.
some people actually like the designs of some branding, I like the adidas trefoil logo for instance
[editline]7th April 2016[/editline]
either way tho branded t-shirts are a lot more visually pleasing than goofy/tacky/joke shirts

Nar--Narccisstic? Seriously...?
Nar--Narccisstic? Seriously...?
maybe it's the wrong word to use.. "self confidence at 1000%" maybe? :v:
most of the popular nike/adidas products aren't just plain t-shirts with their logo on them though, they do sell those products but the brands are built on shoes
just because all new balance sneakers have a big N on them doesn't mean the N is the only important part of their design
giraffen, the point is if you're just getting into dressing better you shouldn't go straight to the tacky prints because you won't be able to pull it off well. figure out how to dress well in a low-key way first
sneakers are less loudly branded than they used to be
sneakers are less loudly branded than they used to be
I don't think thats Necessarily true, alot of what people are wearing today are old designs.
If anything in the past couple of years it's become more common to see people wearing louder designs
[editline]7th April 2016[/editline]
Even this thread just used to be people posting plain smart shoes and boots or vans and shirts with buttons on them, but now people talk about trainers and sports wear brands
[editline]7th April 2016[/editline]
You go in jd sports and you hear mums tell their teenage kids that they never used to dress like a chav as he asks to get a pair of 95s
dressing like a chav is still unforgivable
and i'm also repeating myself here, i don't know where to buy clothes that aren't plain and also not super tacky
what else can i even say lol. you're posting giant neon colored flamingos, get something that's not that. more restrained designs, colors that aren't as loud. try out other sites and visit some shops in your city (or light 12 black candles, make a mojito with the blood of your enemies and call upon the avatar of floral shirts)
or just buy t-shirts that fit well and clothes in a consistent palette first and stop trying to skip to level 4 of a more subjective style that you have never tried ever, giraffen.
stop trying to complicate things. silhouettes, colors, and materials are so much more important than gimmicks or prints. you would be best to avoid both of those entirely, as a few people have seemingly already told you.
I actually lowkey love shirts with graphics like this to wear under open jackets/flannel etc
I considered buying this [T]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CVEts8IUEAU9xxZ.jpg[/T]
its anthony fantano merch not a band surprisingly, it was pretty cheap but in the end I decided against it.
Alot of Internet fashionistas think band t shirts are a total sin but I agree I love wearing a bad ass band shirt with good design under a flannel or hoodie. Of course not all bands/band shirts are made equal so use discretion
help me find some good cheap light blue jeans. like really light blue
Band t-shirts come down to your style/what aesthetic fits well with you and the other clothes you were, and then like you said comes down to whether the shirt is shit or not
[T]http://puu.sh/o9MFO/57093b75e3.jpg[/T]
considered buying this because I like the look of really vintage rap shirts like this, also but I don't know about the colors with other stuff i usually wear
If you can get a hold of it get the stussy shirt instead

"level 4"? jfc
it's just a dude trying to get a silly t shirt. it might be a bit obnoxious but it's far from the worst thing we've had here. why get so uptight over a bit of fun experimenting?
I can't see the difference on normal clothes in stores, and since I don't want some highschool football team name on it I'm pretty much out of options
I can't see the difference on normal clothes in stores, and since I don't want some highschool football team name on it I'm pretty much out of options
no, your option is to fix that. look up guides on color theory. pick fabrics that feel nice or soft at first. start with a "natural" aesthetic with earthy colors and matte textures if you are at a loss (most people are good at that). make sure your jeans are tight. work out. go shopping multiple times a month. continue to collect clothes and look at inspiration and figure out what image you want to present, and figure out how people present images with clothes (it matters what other people think in general. that's not bad. figure out what other people think.)
a year and a half after getting into clothes from wearing Sprite t-shirts and "loose" jeans, I can walk into a store and know what I want and if I value it enough to buy it. It doesn't take long. I was at a point where I was dressing "well" (although not standing out past that) after just 6 or 7 months. it takes time, especially if you aren't already into color theory, but like anything: it will happen eventually.

seconding. i want to try this bandwagon
tight jeans? no fucking way in hell
and go shopping multiple times a month? i don't even go into the city 2km away from me more than a couple of times a year :v:
i know about color theory, it's just that all clothes look the same to me

there's been maybe once in my life i've liked the design of a clothing item, and that was a couple of years ago when i bought an "ugly" christmas sweater

what are u talking about
man it's like you don't even want help
and tight jeans are always the shit given you are relatively skinny. I started wearing tight jeans and I feel like a fucking bum when i put on any other jeans that aren't like straight cropped jeans
I have problems interacting, understanding and properly respond to people, if there was a signature thing here I'd put more info in it. I read all the answers and I unintentionally shoot them down, but ofc sometimes things are just unreasonable.
I'm taking comfort over style any time.
191cm and above average, I don't want jeans that go up in my crotch and make a bulge, and making it hard to take off my pants
can anyone else even understand Giraffen93

That's way too slim, I'd feel gross having those on. I want to be able to bend my legs.
