I tried to grow a proper beard again, and it did fill in a bit better than last time, that's about as good as it gets after three months. Should I just shave it and stick with the goatee?

Forgive my shirtlessness, it's hot as hell in my apartment and I don't have AC right now and I'll be honest, I forgot I didn't have one on when I took the pics
id say to try groomed stubble before completely shaving off the beard, see if it maybe makes you look cooler than just being babyfaced
as far as non undercut hairstyles go maybe something like this?
Get a 2-3 on the sides and leave the top relatively long. Don't ask the barber to cut particularly at the part, just a simple high contrast haircuf. You'll like it.
Definitely don't go to actual "adventurer" outdoor brands if you're trying for the aesthetic and not actually going out and adventuring. It's a shame though that it's summer, because a good part of that style is sweaters.
It's a good place to start with clothes, and it's mostly about color than actual material. Get cream, gray, off-white, tan, beige, brown, olive, burgundy, etc clothes in cuts that fit you, wear boots (try "Clark desert boot beeswax", meme on the internet but great earthy boot), and get fit and you'll look like an " earthy adventurer" without trying. Earth palette wardrobes are a good way to get into color theory, but mostly because you can't go wrong with any combination (don't lay it too heavy on darks though).

Shave the beard.
Thanks for the replies! I have been doing a lot of exploring lately as far as clothes go, and as someone who is recently moving away from almost exclusively wearing dark base graphic tees, I gotta say, exploring fashion has been really cool and fun in general. I'm super new to this kinda stuff, though; the only clothes I've found that suit the style I'm craving are long-sleeve henleys and stuff like that, but I don't want my inventory to consist entirely of said shirts. As for pants, I think I am trying to balance utility and fashion. I've found that cotton pants, chinos and cargo pants, but the latter is kind of hard to pull off unless you're Dexter. I wanna move away from jeans since they are super hard to wash while on the go, and plus they're kind of a pain to move around in if they fit you well (in my experience). I guess I've got a lot more exploring to do! Which is ok, because I've almost achieved valley-girl levels of clothes-loving.
For hair, I was thinking of going for something a bit shorter. I'm a bit exhausted with having long hair, and having it long on top would still necessitate a lot of maintenance. I was thinking of going for something between a longer ivy league and a shorter quiff. I was actually thinking of moving back to a similar hairstyle I had managed to achieve before with low maintenance, with a few changes. Here's a pic of what it would look like on the base level:

(here you can almost see me when my graphic tee wearing phase was at its prime)
The changes would make it a bit shorter on the top with a slight taper to the crown, and then a little shorter on the sides and back of my head. Thoughts?

Not that I'm one to talk, but I'd say stick with the goatee. The beard kinda makes you look a bit messier than the goatee does, since the hair loses intensity as it goes up towards your sideburns.
Full beard or bust. Goatees should only be kept by super villains.

As for you, Confused111, the hair looks good, but I would say you should wither shave the beard or keep it very short. I don't think it comes in quite full enough on your chin to justify keeping one.
Should I keep it as it is?

Looks like you need to cut some inches off
I've been wearing a beanie for almost 6 years now. I can't work with hair at all so I used the beanie as a getaway. How the fuck do I maintain my hair without looking like shit. By the way everytime I shower my hair gets all this "smooth, shiny, light whatever" and makes it impossible to work with, especially when I don't understand hair products. I shaved all my hair once, yeah it felt great, but I looked like a Hitler loving fuckface.
Fucking christ save me.
Cut it short if you're not willing to deal with styling it as much.
I'm not sure what you mean by "smooth, shiny, light whatever"

The difference when you clean your hair everyday, or twice a week. How the hair feels different. When showering everyday, my hair gets soft and moves freely, while washing it twice a week makes it feel heavier and more wide, and stay in one direction.
Also, my english suck. Probably because I've stayed awake for 29 hours.

Please wash your hair every day at least, you don't have to shampoo it. That strips the oils from it, I shampoo 2 or 3 times a week depending on how dirty I feel. But wash your hair with warm/hot water. If you want your hair to have less give to it, invest in molding clay or a styling spray. Blowdrying your hair will also help with pushing it in a direction you want. Depending on what you use to hold your hair you can put it in while your hair is still a bit wet. It will make it way easier to style your hair when its malleable.
Try using less shampoo or something, like half or a quarter of the amount you use each time so it stays more easily.
If you don't want to do that, I hear that some people wear a beanie when they sleep after they wash it so it stays the way they want it to.
what do yall recommend to protect suede shoes from water?
What would be good, easy summer shoes that go with dark blue jeans and are quick to put on (preferably no need to tie shoelaces)?
http://www.greats.com/products/the-royale-blanco-white
i think white shoes are good for general summer wear
for the shoelace thing idk you could just tie them loose enough that you can just slip them on i guess
what do yall recommend to protect suede shoes from water?
you could buy some waterproof coating sprays made specifically for suede shoes, but i think all you really have to do is wait until it dries and restoring the texture with a suede brush or soft toothbrush.
Why not use this thread?
We don't get enough activity to merit an entire section.
one of these days im just gonna pull the trigger and get me them hightop white air forces, like the basic bitch i am
i'm down for a fashion subforum but sadly i dunno how much activity we'd get
i'm down for a fashion subforum but sadly i dunno how much activity we'd get
I suspect the new format might attract some new users so I say it's worth a try.
Sticking a post with some basic stuff to start with would probably feel more inviting than what we have right now.
itd be cool because depending on how much activity there is it allows us to separate the threads, one for MFA type stuff and one for streetwear
that could be cool, more variation is definitely a good thing because right now it's basically just a small community with very occasional outsiders who need help and then argue with us
