Urban Outfitters was selling some made by Rothco for $40 that were pretty nice, except they were huge. A medium came down to my knees and I had to pick up an extra small
tbh I own 3 bundeswehr Flecktarn items that collectively cost me like... $80? that classic parka, the BDU field jacket, and motorcyle overalls I just use the top half of :v:
how about buy a real surplus m65 jacket for like $30 that'll last longer than any of these fast fashion knock offs? they actually fit pretty alright and even if you gotta get them tailored for some reason it'll still come out cheaper [editline]2nd February 2017[/editline] actually it would probs be closer to $60 but still (and not the overpriced Alpha Industries replica)
Yeah fuck no, I've been looking on amazon.com and all I can find is $300 range shit. I found this brandit brand that seems pretty decent, I'll eventually look at my local surplus but shits expensive there too. Thanks though, pretty much wanted to double check if I was the only person thinking all these field jackets we're overpriced.
its weird to me that you're in the US and finding it difficult to find cheap US military surplus but anyway. Brandit has quality issues from what I've heard but that isn't personal experience so take that with a grain of salt. Try E-bay too, would be easier to find surplus and used items there and that's where most of surplus is in circulation. I realise I'm pushing surplus much more than getting a "fashion" jacket but that's just because the military item was designed for getting shot at in the mud and still being somewhat cleanable after, they tend to be a little rough on the body but they're tough as fuck and won't die in a few years like most of what you'll find in the consumer market
Milsurp in the US is not what it used to be. It's hard enough finding a store, and a lot of what is in stock are overpriced or ratty and unwearable in public.
I would imagine that paintball/airsoft places or websites have a decent military surplus selection, that may be something to try
Urban Outfitters was selling some made by Rothco for $40 that were pretty nice, except they were huge. They also come with an inner "warm filling thing whatever it's called" that is attachable. Makes the jacket super tight, but damn it's really warm. There's also no inner pockets. And what you say about the size, that's correct, always buy one/two sizes smaller. Now I own a Helikon-Tex Gunfighter Shark Skin Black for outdoor work, which is pretty common in my line of work. I bought some Y-3 Qasas - one of my favourite shapes of shoe so good to finally get a pair Anyone else got a pair? Tbh I don't have that much to wear them with so any suggestions would be excellent
can I pull off this coat? [T]http://i.imgur.com/Z7XjXnx.jpg[/T]

Tbh I don't have that much to wear them with so any suggestions would be excellent
I adore Qasas, I really wish I had the wardrobe/physique to pull them off sometimes. They look best with a techwear aesthetic. If you're on a budget, get some skinny black joggers and tapered cargo pants for bottoms. For tops, you basically want utility-based jackets. ACRNM will probably be the end-all techwear brand but their stuff is extremely expensive. [editline]3rd February 2017[/editline]
can I pull off this coat? [T]http://i.imgur.com/Z7XjXnx.jpg[/T]
For sure. In my opinion though, the long and slim shape of the coat would be better complimented by jeans that are tapered below the knee.
can I pull off this coat? [T]http://i.imgur.com/Z7XjXnx.jpg[/T]
yes you can, mix and match with different styles tho

I do have the ACG Alpine Jacket + cargos, but since they're black they look a bit weird with grey shoes. Maybe I'm gonna have to pick up a grey Acronym jacket or something. RIP wallet. [editline]4th February 2017[/editline] Also, don't suppose anyone has any advice on where would be best to share video reviews etc.? Pretty sure I can't post to Reddit as it's self-promotion but I feel like they're not totally awful so it would be cool to get a little more exposure
basement, bathroom, own facebook page, and reddit/facepunch (i know you mentioned self promotion but idk)
can I pull off this coat? http://i.imgur.com/Z7XjXnx.jpg
I guess Channing Tatum can pull off pretty much anything.
can I pull off this coat? [T]http://i.imgur.com/Z7XjXnx.jpg[/T]
holy fuck u look exactly like channing tatum
basement, bathroom, own facebook page, and reddit/facepunch (i know you mentioned self promotion but idk)
Basement is a good idea and I do occasionally post stuff there, but again I'm wary of spamming too much there - I know Brandon doesn't post his vids in there much for that reason. Maybe I just need to be a bit more active on YT
haven't made a new purchase in months, but got a free pair of boots last week from a friend of the family, who owns a shoe store. they only sell cheapo looking stuff, but these boots don't look half-bad, especially for free. they have this dumb, fake washed out look, and a black square patch randomly sewn onto the side, but the color is great
pics?
so, is military clothing a thing? because i have tons of stuff left over from my military service mainly boots and cold weather garments
so, is military clothing a thing? because i have tons of stuff left over from my military service mainly boots and cold weather garments
as long as you don't use more than 2 pieces then yeah its a thing [editline]6th February 2017[/editline] and by 2 pieces I mean either 2 smaller pieces of 1 large piece 1 small piece. Like a pair of BDU trousers in an ordinary outfit, not a full BDU kit but with sneakers :v: [editline]6th February 2017[/editline] but yeah you can get some cool looks going with military boots you just gotta be careful with looking too edgy / school shootery. Look at how Shia Lebeouf wears those SFB(?) boots with older looking tees and faded denim for a solid worker look. A classic is just a jacket over a regular outfit tho, like slim black jeans, nice sneakers, a white fitted tee and a m65 is classic af [editline]6th February 2017[/editline] buuuut of course I have no idea what Chilean military garments look like so its up to what you got (I'm only really familiar with Austrian, German, Aussie and US gear with some knowledge in russian and romanian stuff too) which reminds me I really feel like the old "parsley" camo gear that warsaw pact era romania had would make for some solid fits but I think my liberal Romanian gf would fucking murder me for wearing commie clothing :v: this would make amazing shirt material tho
so, is military clothing a thing? because i have tons of stuff left over from my military service mainly boots and cold weather garments
I usually post on /k/ and they seem to think that strong looking camo and patches are a no-go. Softshells, M65, etc are fine, and it seems like the trend is starting to rise again. If you have anything in OD (Olive Drab) or black I recommend it. Any multicam is going to look try hard and only few people manage to get it to work with trousers only.
I'd say in general avoid any modern camo patterns, they're too busy to make work and also may come across as a stolen valour kinda meme... I don't really care about that but some people do and you may get stares. Like Flecktarn jackets work great, get like 3 of them because tbh my flecktarn parka is the fucking bomb [editline]6th February 2017[/editline] and yeah patches are like 0/10 thats just weird by which I mean military patches, unrelated ones are cool

I've always been more of a [s]dreambox[/s] geobasket dude I feel RO sneaks are hard af to pull off tho I think only 3 out of every 10 fits involving them are actually improved by them being there

I saw a guy at the skatepark wearing Purple Camo pants and a Purple-ish Princess Diana Tshirt and it banged. If you wanna be milcore wear Olive Drab instead
is terrorwave an actual wave or is it just dressing like someone youd see at the local bargain booze: the repeat
im uh gonna try to buy these hopefully i dont look like a school shooter im just gonna wear them with skinny jeans https://kommandostore.com/austrian-bundesheer-paratrooper-boots/ wish me luck bois [editline]6th February 2017[/editline] also while i would never actually dres it terrorwave inspo shit i see is really fun to look at and thats where i mostly see mil shit
going for that skinhead vibe I see
going for that skinhead vibe I see
Skinhead is more workboot than military tho but yet again it's how you wear them [editline]7th February 2017[/editline]
im uh gonna try to buy these hopefully i dont look like a school shooter im just gonna wear them with skinny jeans https://kommandostore.com/austrian-bundesheer-paratrooper-boots/ wish me luck bois [editline]6th February 2017[/editline] also while i would never actually dres it terrorwave inspo shit i see is really fun to look at and thats where i mostly see mil shit
I've been considering nabbing them too tbh "skinny" boots like that are a bit tough to find over here in non-chelsea variants

Anyone here ever have experience with this coat from H&M? Been trying to change my fits away from my standard Menswear stuff to more flowy, longer-length stuff. http://www.hm.com/us/product/60557?article=60557-A
