ozweegos can look good but there is a fine line between looking like some sketchers/grandads running shoes and fitting well, something I certainly couldn't pull off.

No. I think people buy stuff by a fashion designer because that's the look they're after and you're only really gonna get attention from other fashion heads in terms of name recognition. Yeezys on the other hand are all name and 15 year olds everywhere will "water those" you and people wear them all the time without an ounce of fashion sense; it's a hot item completely kept afloat by name.
