• [Hot From the RC] Never do business with Intuitive Servers -- It's a Scam
How about you get ray to post on here.
I don't know Ray. Check my latest edit tho, this stuff with Merlin/Intuitive_Jess is really fishy. EDIT: Also, this profile was an alt used on SF to falsify votes (ie. rate winner, agree, etc) on Leo's posts. It looks like Leo has gone through and anonymized it.
what if I'M leo
What if I'm a Leo? Or you?
What if BDA is Leo :ohno:
Leo is BDA's long running conspiracy to make some extra chump change and discredit his political opposition
What if BDA is Leo :ohno:
Then he should quit attention whoring.
As a supporter of Donald J. Trump's ideologies, I feel disgusted knowing someone like this guy is on my team.
How the fuck were you able to post in the RC and not get banned??
Mods have the ability to spoof the posts of other users.
Whatever happened to that FP history timeline thing? Also, did JWJ ever get out of jail? Man, I feel out of the loop.
Whatever happened to that FP history timeline thing? Also, did JWJ ever get out of jail? Man, I feel out of the loop.
JWJ's apparently out of jail, so far as I remember it. But he's still persona non grata on FP.
Whatever happened to that FP history timeline thing? Also, did JWJ ever get out of jail? Man, I feel out of the loop.
I can imagine that even if his sentence has already finished he's still going to be screwed for the rest of his life, I can't imagine that getting a job anywhere will be easy so he'll probably have to go back to server hosting or something under a different name. Plus I doubt he'll ever come back here except as an alt.
If he spent half the time he spent making fake accounts and reviews actually making his product good he might not be in such a cluterfuck. That's the sad bit honestly. People banging on about IRS or HLR saying he could be arrested for not paying his tax etc. need to think a bit more about that. Iirc he's under 18, thus can't (In the UK at least) pay tax, because you need to register your company etc. As for VAT, he'd be paying that on his products he buys(dedicated servers), and not getting that money back, nor is he charging it on his website(Since you need to be a registered company to charge it). Technically he'd be fine as a sole trader in the UK, and I'm pretty sure the US follows suit with this kind of situation. I'm no expert, but the issue is being under 18 technically he can't sign a contract, which I don't agree with, it pushes young entrepreneurs away... Just to clarify though, there is nothing stopping someone under 18 running a company, legally. It's just the laws need to catch up with modern society tbh im just butthurt he wrote me a false negative review on trustpilot still tldr; as he's under 18 (iirc) he can run a company and doesn't need to worry about registering it or the tax involved until it earns over a certain amount a year. There is nothing illegal about that, the system is just outdated and struggles with young people running companies.

The prison got attacked from the inside and outside. (User was permabanned for this post ("Actual Pedophile - Never Unban" - Craptasket))
Goodbye, blue sky.

And in the next sentence you say the law doesn't allow for it. WTF are you talking about. Not to mention that being below 18 doesn't make your activities tax exempt. You aren't tax exempt if you illegally perform business.

why is nulls trying so hard to discredit pretty damning evidence presented by darksoul69 against RayChamp? and trying to divert attention to a much less important "find"? is it really so unthinkable that after years of running gmod hosting scams, that "leo" would learn a few things about better hosting, better scamming, and introductory programming skills?

Even a registered company that's making no money whatsoever still needs to fill out annual accounts, confirmation statements and tax returns or face being fined. If profitable unreg'd businesses aren't getting chased up and facing massive penalties for not declaring their income then you need to ask yourself, what the fuck is the point in even registering a small business in the first place :v:

I explained how there is a bit of a loophole/issue. You need to sign a contract to register a company - which under 18 year olds can't do. As the contract isn't signed the company isn't registered, and as the company isn't registered it can't pay tax ( the gov' can't just take cash, it needs to be registered lmao ) [editline]12th September 2016[/editline] In the UK you don't even need to pay income tax as a s/t unless you earn over £11k, too. So if the US is anything like that I doubt he's elligible anyway :v:
To be honest ever since it got so easy to set up your own hosting company i am seeing a lot of shady practices going around including this one. Great read though :v:

man this leo guy is obsessed with his "business" he keeps scamming even though he's caught.
Leos steam profile just went private. Guess he doesn't want us to see what new host he owns.

Even if Leo had learned a thing or two about the industry, Ray had been coding and selling scripts for GMod before it. I'm not trying to discredit anything, I'm just pointing out how ridiculous his accusation is that Leo (someone who know jack shit about hosting or coding) could be a successful GMod dev.
A better question would be why he was still friends with Leo and why he supposedly quit 30 minutes after his first post here. I don't give a shit if he's on my friends list, it doesn't mean we're actually friends lmao.

Why are you so obsessed with staying on good terms with leo?
Why? I don't keep tabs on Brock or anyone else I used to work with. Why are you so obsessed with staying on good terms with leo?
I'm not trying to stay on good terms, I'm making sure he doesn't try to impersonate me or use me as his next alias, like we've seen in the past. EDIT: doesn't matter though I guess. Looks like he's made his profile private to friends too.
I'm not trying to stay on good terms, I'm making sure he doesn't try to impersonate me or use me as his next idea, like we've seen in the past.
It doesn't seem that way to me. You're on here defending the guy and in my opinion are doing damage control for him. You said he didn't pay you... so why are you trying to keep tabs on him and stay on good terms? And you said in your first post here that you quit some time back. Yet you said in the steam conversation you quit 30 minutes prior. I'm not buying it. I have nobody on my friends list from previous hosts I used to work for and I never tried to keep tabs on any of them.

I am in no way on good terms with Leo I imagine. I haven't spoken to him since this post therefor I never formally quit. He's probably gotten the message once he's seen my posts though. Did any of the hosts you previously worked with try to impersonate employees and run massive scams while doing so? If no then I don't blame you for acting paranoid, this whole situation is fucking crazy.

I didn't "keep tabs" on any of them when I left.
Yes, brohoster in particular. I didn't "keep tabs" on any of them when I left.
Well then congratulations about not giving a fuck about your identity online. I do unfortunately.
I gave RayChamp and nulls my benefit of the doubt, however there's doubt nonetheless. We can't say for certain how far Leo has gone to alias himself. As far as I know I'm the only non-Leo here. Although nulls tends to run the same courses of logic as Leo, his Facepunch account goes back three years with posts dating back then as well as over 1,000 of Garry's Mod hours. Although, nulls has certainly demonstrated to be interested in DarkRP based on some of his very early FP posts regarding basic lua and DarRP server hosting. If Leo has secondary access to his account, I wouldn't be terribly surprised. Do we have any evidence that he worked for these other hosting sites like he claims? As far as those posts regarding MistForums and the hosting advertisements, I wouldn't be surprised if Leo just asked Ray to post it, and maybe he was compensated in some way or didn't realize its actual reputation. Generally, community partnerships like those include a lot of self-promotion, especially including partners; which could explain the reason for Raiding Gamers being the example for support and a favorite server. When it comes to communities like this, it's always small scale operations. These decisions could be made quickly and unprofessionally. They're usually a 'I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine' and usually if they scratch your back first, they're investing that back scratch for a rainy day. I'm not going to believe who is or isn't Leo for certain, but, God it feels like we're trying to find Osama Bin Laden.
Do you understand what keeping tabs means? I am in no way on good terms with Leo I imagine. I haven't spoken to him since this post therefor I never formally quit. He's probably gotten the message once he's seen my posts though. Did any of the hosts you previously worked with try to impersonate employees and run massive scams while doing so?
And this is why I'm so mistrusting of you. When I worked for brohoster we had a team of 10 or so. When the times got rough and Facepunch started making threads about how bad things were getting we stuck to it until the end regardless of the utter shit matthew threw at us. Because if we were to quit with no notice literally all 3000+ clients would have been totally and utterly fucked. Yet, here you are saying you quit over this thread 2-3 pages in? And you're still defending leo. It's strange.
