All the movie was kinda lame, with no surprises. The ending could have saved it but it was predictable and boring. Kudos to Brad Pitt's character for being funny, but that's all.
You have NO brain. Your focus on a movie is having a prettyboy be funny? Christ. That's not just generally offensive, but also offensive towards Brad Pitt...
watched Mulholland Drive I dunno, if I didn't "feel" in the right place of mind while watching it, I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much. That being said, Mr Lynch is extraordinary in delivering his trademark experience. There's an edge to how he films and what he does with actors that I rarely see.. or never because he's one of the few where you feel his creative control while seeing it. This brings elements of his surreal quality as well as his ability to keep you directly intimate with the abnormal as well as the characters. You really feel like you're up close with what's going on and how people are feeling. That being said, I made a promise to myself to not go "WHAT THE FUCK" during the entire course of the movie, and to my amazement, 90% of the movie was free from that feeling, even the shock moments were more relateable than the next bit. The last portion of the movie... I gave in. I recognised the symbolism towards the end, it's pretty obvious he's trying to represent the contrast in character... but then things got way out of hand, and just like Eraserhead we got to the point where we give up complaining and simply accept the madness. At the end of the movie:

Knowing that it was a collection of scenes which leaves the viewer to make up his own links was certainly a new idea and helped me appreciate the quality of the picture.
Yes, I'm still connecting pieces. I don't think I need any new "questions" to help me fit it together. Or maybe I'll just leave it to be ambiguous and just accept that it was a great experience.
Iron Sky 6/10 Just wasn't that enjoyable..
Doesn't make sense. So the less "artsy" it is, the more likely you will love it?
no, but take a look at any mindfuck movie. some people think theyre brilliant, some people think theyre plain boring, and that theyre trying too hard, and some people simply dont like them, because these movies arent their thing its not a matter of being absorbed into a movie, its about liking that sort of stuff or not
its about liking that sort of stuff or not
It's not impossible for a person to change.
cant argue with that
The Grey 7.5/10
Moonrise Kingdom - 9/10 Damn this movie was fucking great. See it immediately. Even the poster is fantastic
I just caught the end of Batman: Under the Red Hood and watching the rerun now, holy shit this is great animated Batman.
Mystery Team: Loved Derrick comedy on youtube, and their first movie had it's moments, was pretty hilarious for the most part but got a little bland near the end: 8/10
Men in Black 3 Good, not great, probably because The Avengers spoiled me. Funny enough to give me a few laughs. Josh Brolin played the part of young K exceedingly well. 1960s was a cool setting. Eyes kind of teared up at the end [sp]with J finding out the truth about his father died.[/sp] 8/10
Men in Black 3 - 7/10 That scene with Will Smith towards the end... oh man. ;_; The Fighter - 9/10 I hate Bale as Batman but in every other movie he's great. Totally earned his Oscar.
The Blind Side I can't really point out the cons/pros but i really like it alot. Great mother and family.

Society has been conditioned to expect a certain format when it comes to films and when something out of a different mold comes along, it can be hard to work out if its shit or art.
Intouchables 9/10 Some of the turns in the story are executed a little strangely but it matters not. It's funny and so full of joy it will make you laugh and leave the cinema with a happy face. The lead roles were great too, best film duo I've seen in years. Gonna see if I can find some more Omar Sy films, that laugh alone made me smile. Favourite movie of the year so far.
A Separation Great drama from Iran. Just finished watching it and its like being pulled in many directions. Situations are often not as black and white as they seem and when shit gets serious people lie. Not a film that needs much explaining as the plot could be told in a short paragraph but the relationships between the characters and the exploration of human tendancy is quite intense. Last time I saw a film like this was Kramer vs Kramer with Dustin Hoffman but this certainly gives it a run for its money. Not for those with a short attn span but definitely one for film lovers who demand that little bit more than the run of the mill format. Up next is Cinema Paradiso, always wanted to see it.
Chernobyl Diaries - 6/10 Saw it last night and I forgot about it 2hrs later. It was entertaining and suspenseful but it was very predictable. The character's actions were really stupid and shit could've been avoided easily. [sp]Also, were those zombies? If so, then what the fuck?[/sp]
Gladiator 8/10 Fucking awesome
reservoir dogs 9/10 for the xth time i look forward to django unchained
Mad Max - 10/10 Amazing movie, that's all I can say about it right now.
Lost in Translation: 9/10 MiB 3: 7/10
Chronicle 8/10 Great movie, but I am only giving it an 8 because [sp] the black guy died which is becoming very redundant, it is not explained how they actually got the powers from that thing, and because the the cousin who was the weakest etc ended up being the only survivor.[/sp]
12 Angry Men 10/10 one of my favourites of all time
Aliens 9/10 I liked it more than alien, but it wasn't as scary
Watched Jason and the Argonauts, really enjoyable film. The stop motion was great, especially the skeleton battle as it was much more believable, the actor looked like they were interacting with them. With the hydra scene Jason was just kind of swinging wildly.

A Few Good Men 8/10
You a racist?
No u. Just re-read that please.
