I really like Half Blood. Very smooth and intense like the third one, which was the best imo.
will watch Nil By Mouth and Sexy Beast.
I feel I've neglected Ray Winstone's capability as an actor.
Ben Kingsley will be quite a shock, I was blown away by the film.
I haven't read much about the premise but Gandhi as a gangster will be fun to watch.
Prometheus: 6.5/10.
One thing that sort of saved the film for me is Michael Fassbender's performance.
I guess, I just expected so much more.

You didn't read the book, did you? Nobody who read HBP liked the movie. I mean holy shit, they cut out Dumbledore's funeral so we can watch the Burrow get burned down, which doesn't even happen in the book! HBP and DH2 were the worst HP films hands down.

I've read all the books. Therefore I must bitch and moan about how a movie doesn't include every single line of dialogue and plot of a full 600 page book. :downs:
I watch the movies, for the sake of them being movies.
I read books, for the sake of them being books.
The movies interpret the books, but I really don't care about how good the interpretation is. Maybe I'm the only one whose read the books, who honestly doesn't care about what is left out?
Paranormal Activity 3 6/10
was actually better than expected. they atleast progressed the story even though most of it is total poo and it didnt have that many doors opening and closing night after night
Bridesmaids
9/10
I love it
Generation Kill, all episodes.
10/10, I fucking love it. The characters and everything are awesome.

If only I could rate this a 'meh'.
Vertigo - 9.5/10
Brilliant film. Definitely a must see.

Artistic license is what it is, and I'm all for it. For example, Nolan's Batman trilogy wouldn't be as great if it were adhering to previous material like a bible.
(500) Days of Summer- 9/10
That last scene, man. I can relate.

this movie just looks like katy perry and heath ledgers dopplegangers team up to make a really gay film
Red Heat, 8/10 because Schwarzenegger was a Russian :v:
also this

Men in Black 3- 8/10, was pretty cool.
riddick 9/10
all around awesome movie. realized what his strange look he made in the mud in the end sorta alludes to. i guess it was vin trying to emote complexly, like more than one emotion but couldn't get it quite right.
i think the main emotion could have been contempt for the devine. because if you think about it fate just fucked him in the ass once again. maybe thats why if you look close enough you can see traces of attempts to emote sorrowful yet somewhat knowingly obligatory irony thats always following him.
well i made it sound much more complex and eloquent than it is but whatever.
plus they fucked a perfectly good ip up with the shit sequel. i hope the third is in developmental hell or dead
Old School (2003) - 1/10
Psycho - 10/10
I really enjoyed the suspense, special effects and the climax more than anything else. A truly fantastic film, in my opinion.

the movie is called pitch black and not riddick
Sunshine (2007)
Danny Boyles story of a crew sent to the sun with a bomb to reignight it as the end of the sun means the end of life. This was made on a 20 million budget which is amazing when you see what effects they made. Performances are solid and the first half is great but sadly towards the end it all turns to shit. Overall a not bad but the end looked rushed. As for the science well, you have to put that to the back of the mind.
worst ending to such a great movie
Prometheus 8.5/10
I really liked the movie but I feel like it was a tad rushed. I got pretty pissed when [sp] the biologist decided it was a good idea to interact with the creepy ass cobra alien things, I mean come on. also the biologist and geologist are pretty damn stupid to stay inside the room with SEEPING BLACK GOO and a MURAL THAT LOOKS LIKE ORGANIC GROWTH. ffs[/sp]
still, I thought it was pretty damn good.
i couldnt relate to the movie because summer was such a fucking bitch who isnt at all likable
Perhaps this is why I can relate to it.
:(
Prometheus 4/10
cross post from Prometheus thread: It's fitting that such a major theme of Prometheus was that there are some things that humankind will never be able to understand, because I think that applies to the film's script.
A.I.
7.8/10
I'm not completely sure if I liked this movie or disliked it.

I get what you mean, it's a bit flim flam in terms of feelings. But I just look at it like an adventure, I wouldn't say it's great, but worth the watch.

Yeah, it's worth a watch, but it's never a good sign that the [sp]aliens[/sp] in the end were more interesting than the main characters.
Incendes (2010)
French Canadian/Arab film about a woman with a past her kids know nothing about. Upon her death she leaves her children with a task that fulfils a promise she made many years ago in a war torn, middle eastern country. This is the third time I've seen the film and watching it with friends is half the joy when they work out what’s happening and how it all fits. This is one of my favourite films and one I've posted here before.
What sets this film apart is the way it tells a story in parallel with 2 characters. The performances from the main cast are first class but even the minor parts played by local people with no acting experience make this film so realistic. The director hounded Radiohead into allowing him to use their music and this was agreed after the band has seen the film.
The film is very poignant right now when you look at what’s going on in Syria and how pointless it all is. This film is a masterpiece and I recommend it.
