[editline]16th June 2012[/editline]
I get what you mean, it's a bit flim flam in terms of feelings. But I just look at it like an adventure, I wouldn't say it's great, but worth the watch.
jude law nuff said oh yeah and teddy
you honestly think i give a fuck?
yes i would think most people should care about knowing the name of the movie they just saw
i forget a thought while im in the middle of it
Hunger games - 7/10
Hunger games - 7/10
I also watched this recently i give it a 5/10 It didn't make me care about any of the characters and the only emotional involvement i had was just imagining how terrible the situation these people find themselves in would be. I heard today that in the books the main chick goes back in to the games another two times which just sounds ridiculous :3
Third viewing of 2001: A Space Odyssey: 10/10 Still my favorite movie, tied with Citizen Kane. Incredible, amazing, the best film ever made.
Indie Game: The Movie: 8/10 It was rather good for a documentary and it was about the people as much as the games, which was nice.
the cabin in the woods finally came out here so i watched it 8.5/10. loved every minute of it. it's great to finally see a horror that makes me proud to be a fan of the genre http://rustysreviews.blogspot.com.au/2012/06/cabin-in-woods-2012.html check out my review on my blog its lonely
Is The Cabin in the Woods meant to be a horror-comedy or is it just a regular horror film?
it's a little bit of both, but it's very satisfying.
That sounds pretty good, will definitely try to watch it at a cinema.
Sexy Beast lol... Gandhi saying "Bum Flufferies" is not what I expected at all. Seriously, Ben Kingsley is radically awesome in this, the number of times he says fuck or cunt is also astonishing. In a way I'll call it a heist movie, but it really only is about ONE thing and that's convincing lard arse Ray Winstone to get off his fat arse and do some work. For some reason I keep thinking it's the British goodfellas, but it's way too short to be called that. I'll just have to call it "Gandhi Goes Mad with a cockney accent".
That sounds pretty good, will definitely try to watch it at a cinema.
Seeing it was probably the most fun ive ever had watching a film at the cinema. It was amazing and basically a satire of the entire horror genre but still a legitimately good horror What ever you expect it to be, it isnt lol Easily the best horror-comedy since evil dead II since most films fall short in one or the other but this does both really well. Lots of evil dead 1 and 2 references as well which was v cool :~)
riddick 9/10 all around awesome movie. realized what his strange look he made in the mud in the end sorta alludes to. i guess it was vin trying to emote complexly, like more than one emotion but couldn't get it quite right. i think the main emotion could have been contempt for the devine. because if you think about it fate just fucked him in the ass once again. maybe thats why if you look close enough you can see traces of attempts to emote sorrowful yet somewhat knowingly obligatory irony thats always following him. well i made it sound much more complex and eloquent than it is but whatever. plus they fucked a perfectly good ip up with the shit sequel. i hope the third is in developmental hell or dead
I liked the sequel. The third is supposed to be more like the first due to budgetary reasons.
the usual suspects 9/10 I remember watching a decade ago. God it was good
The Illusionist 9/10 - Very well written. Worth a watch.
i spied "angry molesting tree" on the whiteboard lmao
Deadites were on there aswell.
Jin-Roh 8.6 I really like this movie. It had an interesting universe, plot and when it (rarely) had action, it was really intense and looked awesome. And who can't love such an awesome suit design as this: [t]http://ignis.anime-sharing.com/vault/files/27657_ehloq/Jin-Roh_The_Wolf_Brigade_(2000)_%5B720p,BluRay,x264%5D_-_THORA.mkv_001242.279_1.png[/t]
i spied "angry molesting tree" on the whiteboard lmao
lol I missed that one but I saw Deadites on it. There were so many I mean [sp]the whole ride to the cabin and the cabin itself are obvious evil dead references, the cellar and cellar door, the shots when the zombies come out=basically exactly the same shots as evil dead, dairy/necronomicon, zombie body parts all like squiggling about when it gets cut up and I think the hand at the end of the film is a tribute to the poster also they cant leave because of forces unknown- forcefield in cabin in the woods, mysteriously destroyed bridge in evil dead 1 and 2[/sp] went to see it with my friend who is also a big evil dead fanboy so we kind of just tallied up all the references there was so many lmao

Ian Mcshane was menacing. Great watch for anyone who likes gangstar films from Snatch to Casino, difference being this had some genuinely tender moments.
Prometheus very interesting. it's no masterpiece, but it has a tense atmosphere, great visuals and some very interesting concepts, [sp]such as the cyborg, the "engineers" and pretty much everything that was inside the alien planet[/sp] the cast isn't great (guy pearce as that old man? seriously?), even though fassbender was pretty good, but the characters are well written. an overall enjoyable film. saying "it has nothing special" would probably give a bad impression, but I feel that saying "don't expect too much" does it.
Watched 3:10 to Yuma on netflix, really liked it. Christian Bale is quite good in it, as is Russel crowe. Pretty nice Western story, I enjoyed it anyway. 7/10.
the usual suspects 9/10 I remember watching a decade ago. God it was good
I don't get why this movie is praised so much. Probably it's just me that's stupid, but I honestly found it pretty dull, couldn't follow it very well and didn't find the ending twist as surprising as it's made to be.
Blade Runner (Final cut) for like the 22th time or so. 10/10. A true masterpiece of science-fiction.
I don't get why this movie is praised so much. I had a bit of a bad taste in my mouth while trying to get into how characters interacted with each other from the right off. That being said, Spacey has been in a lot better imo.
Sunshine - 7/10 Quite a nice movie. The concept is awesome albeit a tad far fetched. The characters are cool and the dilemma's are handled realistically.
