Am I the only one who didn't think Drive was that great?
yes
Uzumaki 5.8/10 I really enjoyed the manga, so I decided to watch the movie. It stayed pretty close to the manga (which is good, imo) but the end was kinda cheap/rushed and I felt cheated. I did like how there's little hidden spirals everywhere.
Seeking a Friend for the End of the World - 8/10 Cute movie. Predictable and Keira Knightley's acting could of been better. Ending did not disappoint, though.
I cried. It got really emotional near the end. :<
Iron Sky 6/10 Meh. It had one or two funny parts I guess.
Prometheus - 7.5/10 Not as good as I expected it to be but still quite an amazing time. Characters are cool and the story is quite alright. [sp]Why didn't they just run to the goddamned side when the ship was rolling towards them..?[/sp]
couldnt contain my laughter at that scene tbh
Sherlock Holmes a Game of Shadows Was okay, liked the first one better. I wonder why they killed off the love interest in the beginning there, I rather fancied her. Also why Mycroft in cahoots with Moriarty? Near the end Moriarty points out Holmes' telegram didn't get him help... did Mycroft never get it or just... what? Also kind of a dumb ending, why lead everyone on that you're dead like that for so long? Anyways enjoyed the first one a bit more, kind of a shame that Moriarty was just in it for money.
King Kong really ain't all that great, Sin City is pretty average, The Big Lebowski is a great comedy and that's all, Star Wars is insanely overrated and Stand By Me is just regular great. so basically ur wrong and thats a weird list of 'best movies of all time'.
Rusty Post Receipt: - Take post of someone else. - Negate his oinion in every way no matter what. - Make sure it's not COMPLETELY negated, generally considered good movies are not "not good" but rather "pretty average". [editline]23rd June 2012[/editline]
I don't get why this movie is praised so much. Probably it's just me that's stupid, but I honestly found it pretty dull, couldn't follow it very well and didn't find the ending twist as surprising as it's made to be.
There is your problem.
[sp]Why didn't they just run to the goddamned side when the ship was rolling towards them..?[/sp]
[sp]If you're in fear that a fucking ship is gonna make you a pancake, I don't think your first thought is to look back and see where you should run, it's gonna be running and hoping you live.[/sp]
There is your problem.
Okay, guess I'll have to watch it a third time.
tbh usual suspects is only great the first time around but then you kind of know the big twist which is the whole point to the movie. still a good movie though.
God bless america 7/10 I liked it because its something we all have been thinking about.
punch drunk love i love this movie
Your post told me about this movie, and I loved it too, thanks.
Also kind of a dumb ending, why lead everyone on that you're dead like that for so long?
Because he is an asshole.
as I said before, anyone who moans about Rusty needs a baby's bottle.
Prometheus 4/10 The Special effects were amazing, but that alone is unable to make me like this film.
6 is awfully high for 'i laughed maybe twice'. (((( it has no funny parts i laughed never)))
And I guess that's why I gave it a 6/10, and you didn't :)
Goodbye Lenin! (2003) This is a second watch for me on this one as my friends hadn't seen it. The film is German language story about how the fall of a wall affects a family. Its a funny film in places but don't go in expecting a comedy. Nothing much to tell here other than go watch it if you like a good film, action fans stay away. I was also pleased that all 5 in the room thought the film was great.
And I guess that's why I gave it a 6/10, and you didn't :)
yeah i know but even laughing twice doesnt seem like it's worth a whole 6/10
there's a movie about some berlin wall thing, the mum got into some coma
yeah i know but even laughing twice doesnt seem like it's worth a whole 6/10
I gave it a 6/10 because I appreciate the time spent on the movie by the effect artists and what not. I mean, visually it wasn't a bad movie, and it had a few parts that were funny/pretty cool (to me). It's just that it could've been better obviously, but it wasn't that bad to me. It certainly beat 'nazi's at the center of the earth' though... Fucking Jake Busey lol.
watched God Bless America, something i really looked forward to 5/10, incredibly disappointed. wayyy too ranty for it's own good. rants are good when they're pent up and suddenly unleashed in a glorious climax. not scattered throughout an entire film, each longer than the last. whats up http://rustysreviews.blogspot.com.au/2012/06/god-bless-america-2012.html read for the full diagnosis
21 Jump Street 8/10 All I can say is 'bring on the sequel'.
Snow White & The Huntsman - 7/10 Quite surprised how epic this turned out to be. And I don't mean epic as in "omfg best movie ever". I mean epic as in the filming and journeys throughout the movie. Some parts reminded me of LOTR. Great cast except for Kristen Stewart. Sorry but they could've picked a much better Snow White. But besides her, good cast. The dwarves were my favorite. Really wish there were more parts with them. Huge props to the person that was in charge of casting. Visual effects, awesome. Definitely check this movie out if you're interested.
LA CONFIDENTIAL - 10/10 couldn't come up with a single thing wrong with this movie even if i wanted to. permanently raised my standards. WATCH IT WATCH IT WATCH IT
Up in the Air (2009) Theres 90 mins of my life I'll never get back. Fuck that lazy shit, every film cliche in the book was shat in my eyes. The only redeeming feature was George Clooney didn't ride off into the sunset with the girl at the end, sorry if that sounds like a spoiler but theres no way I could spoil a sack of rotting cum like that.
I liked it, but that's because I'm biased towards planes and Clooney. Other than that, it wasn't great.
