I don't dislike ALL romantic comedies, but there's way too many of them out there
Black Butt Anal 2, 6/10, not quite as good as the first
Black Butt Anal 2, 6/10, not quite as good as the first
wow you obviously don't know shit, Black Butt Anal 2 is the strongest film in the trilogy what the fuck is wrong with you
Okay just watched Kill List as recommended. I do have to say, that it was quite an odd movie. [sp]I don't understand it though. Why was there naked people, with tree sticks around their faces? Why did this girl just.. pick his family for him to kill his own son and his wife? Why did his wife laugh when she died? what is going on[/sp]
[sp]They were a wiccan suicide cult and the plan was an elaborate scheme to feed their desire for death[/sp]Hope that helps.
Orphanage seems interesting in the trailer, I'll give er a shot.
I've gotta say, The Orphanage is one of my all-time favorite films. Absolutely inspired blend of drama, horror and suspense. And dat fucking ending. And it depends on what you consider modern, but Cronenberg's The Fly is really, really good if you haven't seen it.
I started watching Mad Men, it's a fantastic show!
Contact (1997) 8/10 Probably one of the best sci-fi movies I've ever seen. I immediately went to the library to check out the book because I can only imagine how awesome the book is.
I have only read the book, I hope the movie isn't a disappointment.
Watched the entire Alien quardrilogy with my girlfriend this weekend, As a whole, i'd rate it 7/10 Allways loved those movies, but they seemed to have somehow changed to me this time.
Finally brought myself to watch Dr. Strangelove. 9/10 Funny movie. Love dark comedy.
Braveheart. 7/10. Moderately a family movie with chucklish moments and even some serious tones to appeal to adults. For 1996, the CGI on Draco was pretty good. Plus, who doesn't love a movie with Dennis Quaid and Sean Connery? Minus the fact the plot had a couple holes in it and not everything tied together perfectly. But, that was probably because I watched it 10-15 minutes in.

Jesus, it's been ages since I last saw that movie. Think I'll have a go at it tonight.
I have only read the book, I hope the movie isn't a disappointment.
Book is a lot better. They skip out on so much in the movie, and so many changes. But it's a great movie nevertheless.
Can anyone recommend a good movie? Horror-ish, modern, not obscure? That or just something that is a great watch.
The american Grudge the japanese ones are a total joke
The american Grudge the japanese ones are a total joke
I prefer the American "Ring" to the Japanese one. The misty island atmosphere is amazing.

With Rusty you never can tell.
Should have done this before, but since I watched 3 movies at Memorial Day weekend, will review one of them. MIB 3: 3, not always a good number lately. SR3, Fable 3, ME3's ending weren't great. So I was a little suspicious about MIB 3 being good. Good news though, it didn't follow its previous film(2), but was more on par with the first one. It had some humor, from the funeral part([sp]Z's dead, agent O is new chief, she said what an alien spoke, in her native language)[/sp] to the 1969 meeting. It has some flaws, not being as good as the first film, some of the characters from 1 is either gone(dead), just an extra, or referenced only by posters, and a somewhat big time hole. Rating? 7.5/10

[editline]27th June 2012[/editline] don't forget that the us one is produced by sam raimi
both american and japanese versions of grudge/ring are shit. american version gets points because it has SMG in it.

so is Drag Me To Hell funny bad, or funny good, or scary or what?
Okay, you've basically invalidated every opinion you've ever had.
yeah because finding a japanese movie hilarious is so absurd (i've been to circuses scarier than that movie) the monster lady just looked so awkward in every scene. i remember one part where it was just standing on an overpass or something in broad daylight. it couldn't have looked goofier and less threatening if it tried you tell me which is more horrifying
so is Drag Me To Hell funny bad, or funny good, or scary or what?
funny good, scary good it is a comedy horror from the director of evil dead its fantastic
Has anyone seen any thai horror movies? Any good ones?
Has anyone seen any thai horror movies? Any good ones?
ain't you malaysian? you should be giving me thai horror movies.
yeah because finding a japanese movie hilarious is so absurd (i've been to circuses scarier than that movie) the monster lady just looked so awkward in every scene. i remember one part where it was just standing on an overpass or something in broad daylight. it couldn't have looked goofier and less threatening if it tried you tell me which is more horrifying *snip*
It's more to do with that you apparently liked the American Grudge, which was a horrible piece of cinema with some of the worst editing that I've seen in ages. The Japanese Ju-On was much better paced and edited, not to mention that it had a far better atmosphere.
Singaporean.
same thing, kuala lumpur is the capital no?
Come and See (1985) Well I wasn't expecting an easy watch but this was raw to say the least. Russian film about the brutality of the SS wiping out Belorussian villages before they were pushed back. The story is told through the eyes of a boy who sees the horror. Some of the scenes at first were confusing but they became clearer as it went on. Some of it was rather unrealistic such as the way the Germans were portrayed but overall it was worth the watch just to see a completely different way of making a film. This has just crept into the IMDB 250 but reflection and time will tell if its worthy. Not for everyone, film geeks only.
