i closed Transformer 3 five minutes in
i closed Transformer 3 five minutes in
Don't get me wrong, it was beyond shit. Actually now that I think about it the reason I enjoyed it was because there was a mental woman sitting at the back that felt she was a part of the movie. There was a part where one character cussed another character and she shouted "SHAAAAME" and another part where they were in a skyscraper that was about to get destroyed by a bad transformer (decepticon?) and it cut to the transformer about to shoot and she shouted "SHOOT!" just as it went quiet.
I think transformers 3 was the worst one, in every possible aspect the worst part was the excuse for Megan Fox not being in the movie oh wait, there wasn't one
Megan Fox was only hot in the first one I'm pretty sure she looks disgusting now lol
Mary and Max 8/10 nice film, sad ending
Sunshine - 7/10 First three quarters were fantastic, the other quarter not so much. I mean the last part could have been done in so many different less retarded ways, it annoyed me the route it went down. Pretty solid movie overall though.
That's the biggest complaint everyone has about that movie but tbh i really wasn't bothered by it.
Chronicle (2012) a film about kids who got exposed to something and got some quite incredible powers. It was all good, very interesting and cool idea depicted in a decent story and setting, some funny usage of the super powers for once. But the ending was basically just "And now, even more awesome shit will happen but the film ends here so you can only imagine."
The Illusionist. 8/10 probably. Amazing movie, reminded me a damn lot of The Prestige even though it wasn't as good but my main issue with it is I never got how he did the ghost shit.
That's the biggest complaint everyone has about that movie but tbh i really wasn't bothered by it.
I just felt it ruined the realistic tone of the movie, it went all paranormal/religious on me and it just seemed quite stupid.
Woman in Black - 7.5/10 So unrealistic though. Why doesn't Harry just use his wand?
I just felt it ruined the realistic tone of the movie, it went all paranormal/religious on me and it just seemed quite stupid.
Nuking the sun to restart it is realistic? that's like your standard Hollywood Science.
The Grey - 3/4 Pretty, well done, and incredibly intense. As a rule, I don't care much for movies about death, so thematically, I tended to rather dislike this film up until the the last scene, at which point, the movie took on another dimension and I'm still not sure what it was trying to say. When he recites the last line of the poem for the last time, he emphasizes "live and die on this day", so I wonder whether the movie was about life rather than death. It doesn't change how comfy the movie is with the topic of death throughout the film however... In any case, the last scene, despite the fact that I tend to dislike when movies attempt to make me care, did in fact "move" me, and I can only describe that scene as very very good, both in terms of film, and in terms of theme.
The woman in black 7 / 10 An all round decent horror film but not without it's flaws. Thankfully does not resort to blood and guts for it's scares. Other note, it should not be a 12A, for one it will scare children and young teens to the point they wont sleep. But more importantly they ruin the experience for everyone else, screaming at points that are not all that scary, and crying, good lord the crying.
A Clockwork Orange 6/10 Even though it's classic Kubrick, some scenes drag on way longer than they should. Overall a good movie if you have the time and patience to watch it.
Night Of The Living Dead (1968) -8/10? Enjoyed this film quite a lot. Very original at its time (even though I could pretty much work out the story exactly except right for the very end, but that's because so many zombie films that followed were massively influenced by it) and its influence is incredibly obvious if you've even seen just one zombie film in your time. Created the modern zombie film, and the modern perception of the zombie (however they're referred to as ghouls in this, not zombies) I can imagine this would also have been quite terrifying in the 60s haha, some of it's quite graphic. [sp]I actually found it kind of disturbing when the child zombie murders her mother with the little garden spade![/sp]
Oh wait I forgot about "The Boat That Rocked" (Pirate Radio) That movie gets an 8/10, amazing actors, plot, and music.

There was a short interview with someone at the BBFC about why it's a 12A. At first it was a 15 but the distributor wanted it changed to 12A because it's only a PG-13 in America. [editline]13th February 2012[/editline] They cut seconds out of scenes and made jump scares a bit quieter from what I can remember.
Moneyball - 9/10 I'm not sure how to explain it. The movie doesn't really have a steady flow, but it has that feel of "oh, everything was building up to this moment". It wasn't really what I expected, it gets points for that. Most baseball (or of any other sports, actually) movies are usually full of cliches, and this one surprised me. [sp]Sad that they didn't win that match, though[/sp]
Of mice and men 8/10 [sp]That ending... :([/sp]

It's made to be a unique experience, not something that just goes over you It obviously did just go right over you though, but for all the wrong reasons. I guess you just didnt get it lol watch it again I'd say

This was sort of like that, but less interesting, and didn't quite have the same effect on me.
The Muppets - 7.5/10 Well I enjoyed it quite a bit, they did an alright job of trying to bring the muppets back I feel and some of the puppet work was awesome.
