Great movie, but again.. not for everyone.
Very true, I meant to say that it was more intense for me than most movies, not trying to act as if my opinion is fact.
Cape Fear was really fucking good. Watched it for the first time and man was i missing out.
The Dark Knight Rises - 9.5/10... Easily the best of the trilogy, loved everything about it. Just might be my favorite movie of the year too. Anne Hathaway was excellent and slipped into the role of Catwoman with a chaotic grace. Really blew me away how good she was, really. The action sequences were beautiful and with that booming soundtrack they were just so great. The ending was just perfect, even though it ended exactly how I thought it would. For a movie that was 2hrs and 45mins long, it felt so much shorter... I sincerely hope that Nolan releases a director's cut that's an hour longer or something. Also, Marion Cotillard was probably the only bad thing about the movie... her acting was just really terrible I felt.
The Dark Knight Rises: 9/10 Fuck its good.
City of God - 9/10 Damn, that was a really good movie.

NY 77: The Coolest Year in Hell. 8/10. Does what it says on the tin with a crazed hand, and throws in impeccable style and panache just to bring it over the top. Makes no bones about the fact that it's glorifying something utterly forbidden and inaccessible (and what're we going to say about it? Absolutely nothing, of course.) Authentic and incredibly inventive, but no revelations made here. Takes the "in squalor, what do? Live" rather than "Ford to City: Drop Dead" line. Interestingly enough, also takes Vignelli's fancypants MTA map and does dirty things with it. Incredibly dirty and heretical things.
Prometheus 6/10 man, so disappointing.
Is it me or is traffic dropping off this forum faster than lemmings off a cliff? Anyway. Mr Brooks (2007) I'd pretty much written Kevin Costner off but then again I'd never written him on but this was a pleasant surprise. Costner plays a family man who has a very naughty pass time. John Hurt is his alter ego and both bounce off each other very well with Hurt leaving the evil twin stereotypes by the wayside, this is why he's a good actor. Demi Moore plays the obligatory cop who's snow plough shaped chin doesn't make up for the lack inspiration in her role. She's never really blown me away so it could have been anyone playing the role. Only thing wrong with this is the ending, or should I say the point at which they should have ended it. Something very good happens at the end but then they go and fuck it up a bit. Still, overall a good watch but don't expect an orgasm.
The Dark Knight Rises - 9.5/10 It had a few issues but overall was absolutely fantastic. Better than it's predecessor.
I think the last movie I watched was the Gurren Lagann movie(s). Which I will gladly give an 8/10. Would be 9 but they're not dubbed. :( Goddamn I love this series. Also the Dark Knight. p good, bane was hilarious/scary as hell 9/10
Paid In Full - 7/10 Pretty cool.
the Dark Knight. p good... 9/10
wut
bane was hilarious
wut
wut wut
dude, he was hilarious. that absurd voice out of that scary body was enjoyable. and the movie was good. not quite on the level of the second, but it was different. in a good way.
"ye the movie was p good so i'll give it a near perfect score" wat Also Bane wasn't hilarious and if you think he was then I dont know. His voice isn't comical it's disturbing.

His voice isn't comical it's disturbing.
The introduction of new characters was handled very nicely. Bane is a scary, musclebound freak with a mask (that I suspect keeps his face...on), and as a result his voice was...odd. Almost whimsical. Like a small Russian scientist except the confidence of a...well, musclebound freak. The bizarre juxtaposition of his voice and body was hilarious, but really that just made him even more unpredictable and scary. The Joker was scary, but more of like a "I'm going to light you and your children on fire" kind of way. Bane's scary in a "I will dominate you in every imaginable way and then dispose of you like a broken sack of potatoes" kind of way. i rate with ign's scale
IGNs scale: 1-3 really bad 4-6 some people might enjoy it 7-9 probably worth it 9-10 call of duty edit: just realized this is the movie section, IGN rates on a 5 star system right? I avoid IGN movie/television reviews because they are generally plagued with spoilers. Fucking hate watching their reviews only to have a massive plot spoiler dropped right on my groin.
TDKR: 9/10 American Psycho: 9/10 Drive: 10/10 movie marathon starting with IMAX batman. might watch more later.
Black Dynamite - 7.5 I knew exactly what to expect, and it didn't disappoint, really funny movie, some parts were simply genius, but I feel like they could have explored the whole thing a little more. Snatch - 7.7/10 Enjoyable movie, even though their accent was hard to understand. It's good seeing a movie that does the "various storylines that cross each other many times because of numerous plot twists" thing right, even though it was overdone to death. Into the Wild - really fucking good/10 Amazing movie. Starts out a little slow, but really sucks you in about halfway through. The emotional scenes don't feel forced because the characters are really likable, even if the acting isn't outstanding. Some beautiful places in the movie, too
Ip man 2 - 8/10
The Dark Knight Rises - 9/10 god damn
Batman Begins - 8.7/10 The Dark Knight- 9/10 The Dark Knight Rises- 9.5/10
The dark Knight Rises - 9.5/10 still wondering how [sp]that bomb didn't cause a huge tidal wave[/sp]
Spiderman 2012 9/10 Good film, liked the alternitave story (apperently from the 1960s comics) Also liked the fact that he couldn't produce web himself.
Inception 9/10
