what are some movies truly worth watching in HD?
All of them.
All of them.
I much rather to watch Indiana Jones or most b/w movies on VHS so no.

sometimes HD is just too sharp. [editline]29th July 2012[/editline] I'll watch No Country for Old Men in HD then. See if it makes any difference in experience. :D
sometimes HD is just too sharp.
This is dumb. Unless of course, they artificially sharpened it with edge enhancement, which is god awful. But even old movies would have looked crisp in theatres, eg; how they are meant to be seen. It's just that people had to rely on VHS for the home experience back then, which was never the ideal experience. Preferring it on that format is dumb.
what are some movies truly worth watching in HD?
Any porn parody
7 is "this film is good, you should see it, idk about a rewatch, you could skip it in the theater and wait for it to come out on dvd" for me. kind of the B+ area.
You're describing a 6/10 in my book.
Gremlins 8/10 The [sp]bar scene and cinema scene[/sp] had me in stitches, hasn't happened in quite some time. God damn, this movie is fucking great.
The curious case of Benjamin Button - 9/10 Great movie, damn sad ending too. Nothing much else to say, it's a quite unique movie experience that everyone should watch, I regret I haven't watched it sooner.
Watched the DKR today. It was good but I think the DK was more enjoyable for me.
The Descendants 9/10
The Descendants 9/10
good movie.
It's better second time round imo
Inception 9/10
wow, that was exactly why i didn't like it that much. so many predictable moments :(
no there wasnt
snoipy
Initial D 9/10 I never read the manga or anything but I thought it was great. The soundtrack choice was awful though.

Rewatched The Mask 9/10
Body of Lies (2008) Russel Crowe, Leonardo and Mark Strong directed by Ridly Scott, should be quite good yes? Well it was alright. Thriller about Muslim extremists vs 'free world' is sadly a thriller by numbers without any surprises. The feel of the film reminded me of an equally average 'The Kingdom' which was also quite forgettable. Mark Strong as the head of Jordanian intelligence was the only redeeming character. Anyone wanting a better film on this topic should check out 'Traitor starring Don Cheadle which came out on the same year as this. The only difference is it sticks in the mind longer.
The Watch 4/10, but I'm pretty sure I'm being generous.
Iron Sky - 7.5/10 I dunno, I don't think it was as good as I expected it to be.
Bottle Rocket doesn't get dumber than this. But it isn't the "Freddy Got Fingered" kind of retarded dumbness. But instead it's clever, heartfelt dumbness that I rarely see. It's meant to be a robbery style movie, but none of them are actually convincing robbers. :v: Early Owen Wilson performance and actually well worth seeing a role in which he excels in rather than the generics. Hilarity all over the place too. Wes Anderson's early goodness, recommended.
Clever dumbness sounds like a bit of an oxymoron to me
Clever dumbness sounds like a bit of an oxymoron to me
it'll only ever make sense if you see the movie, no kidding. :-)
Event Horizon 7/10 despite being pretty scary and disturbing at most parts, it had alot of silly moments that made me laugh around the second half of the movie
Total Recall (1990 version) 9/10 God damn, such a good movie! All the mindfucks, twists, and awesome gore were great. Also blonde chick was fucking hot. [sp]And the part with the red pill had even me wondering whether or not he was telling the truth[/sp]
Is this movie any good? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stander_(film)
