watched Serpico.
discovered this after drinking my coffee and eating my muffin, then badabing, realised this was the best movie with Al Pacino.
the end.
Blade
It was kinda meh, wouldn't watch it again but I kind of enjoyed it.

One of my favourites from the golden age of cinema (70's). His dressed down character and no compromise principles make it exciting and realistic. The panic in that doorway, gun scene is gripping.
public opinion sucks sometimes
I agree, but not when it comes to LOTR.
The Expendables 2 - 7,5/10
This was a great action movie, and every time arnold appeard on screen I got a boner. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that the ending had almost no climax feel to it. The story was more like: "Let's take out these bad guys" and then "ok, done, the end". Fun as fuck nontheless.
the expendables 2:
it's like one of those bad movies that knows its bad so it tries to play on its badness in some cheap self aware gag chain but even that part of it isn't good
the action wasnt terrible. not anything special, but not terrible. but the special effects? right up there with those shitty sci fi original movies. the dialogue was shit and I cared absolutely nothing for any of the characters.
hey let's reference all these GOOD movies we used to be in! that's what the audience loves, right?

also chuck norris does a chuck norris joke. I'm not even kidding. fuck this movie.
the chuck norris scene was cringeworthy
but aside from that basically it's a horrible movie that is kind of fun regardless.

Futurama: The Beast With a Billion Backs -- 3/10
I've never watched more than an episode or three of Futurama, but I was browsing through Netflix yesterday and was like "They made a Futurama movie?" So I watched it and I DEMAND MY HOUR AND A HALF BACK. Absolutely one of the most offensively boring and unfunny things I've ever sat through.

None of the movie things they made are any good. I haven't watched any of the new episodes but I assume they are just as bad, I hope i'm wrong though.
The Expendables 2
Fucking A, I'll give it 8/10
I really enjoyed it, great for what it's supposed to be...
The Raid Redemption
The whole movie is just one giant action scene and it is fucking brilliant.
The Last Broadcast (1998) - 8/10.
Well that certainly took me by surprise.
There Will Be Blood - Milkshakes/10
i kinda dont want to watch anymore movies, i mean i watched man on fire like a day or two before tony scott's death, i mean shit, that's spooky. i'll give it a 7.

[editline]21st August 2012[/editline]
i'm sure there are worse directors out there but I couldn't think of anyone damnit
i dont know how but man on fire was dull as fuck like seriously
it was really boring
Does anyone else think that Denzel Washingtons films are like 90% shit? He's a decent actor but he's in loads of really bad films. Even the ones that are meant to be good are bad.
Training Day owned, Inside Man was actually pretty good, American Gangster was good too but overall he's v meh
I wanna watch Malcolm X tho. Looks good.

take your ritalin fagget
I watched True Grit last night. It was a pretty good movie, I'd probably give it about a 7/10. Pretty slow paced but worth watching.
True Grit is at least 8.5/10 for me :(

It was a decent enough film, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. One of those movies I'm happy enough watching once, but wouldn't watch again.

it's one of those films where if you watch it again, you'll like it better.
first time i saw it was with friends who wouldn't shut the fuck up (same with the fighter, which ruined it for me), but i watched it again by myself and loved it more.
The Cabin in the Woods - 7/10
The Shawshank Redemption.
8/10. Great acting and story, overall a good movie. There's somethings that they could have done better and maybe made the movie abit longer, story felt very rushed in my opinion.
The Cabin In The Woods - 7/10
Into The Wild - 9/10

man that one doesn't even have christopher lee, no wonder it's shitty, the best hammer films are when the two of them pair up.

The whole thing was brilliant. It's a movie where you want to be there for the dude the whole way through.
Watched Simple Life.
Seeing this while in China kind of helps. :v:
Gives me a modern insight into a person's life as they get older in China. Very heartfelt and soothing.
It's slightly depressing, but in reality when people get old, the only thing that matters is to bring joy in yourself to take the pain away.
Released just last year too, and surprisingly very popular in China too. Doesn't seem like the type.

You're probably right, I don't really feel the need to watch Safe House.
But for sure watch Malcolm X, shit's good.

one of the few movies where you really feel the violance.
Black Snake Moan - boners/10
Awesome film with Samuel L . Jackson and Christina Ricci (The Adams Family, Casper, Speed Racer, etc..) Completely my childhood fantasy. On top of that it's a real great movie. Defiantly worth a watch.
District 9 6/10
The only problem I had with this movie was the ending. I seriously thought it could be better.

6/10? District 9 is one of the best scifi movies out there. It's awesome. :(
