terminator salvation is bale's lowest career point, although I hear his recent chinese movie is pretty poor. Might be wrong. Wouldn't say he's the "great" actor yet.. he hasn't landed a role which he's able to really open it up.
American Psycho? Batman Begins+TDK? Wouldn't say Rises was particularly impressive though. He was good in Flowers of War but not amazing, I do remember some scenes were very memorable with some great acting though. He was amazing in the machinist. I bought the fighter yesterday and I'm going to watch it soon, I hear it's one of his best performances. American Psycho is his best as far as I've seen imo.
Forgot about Fighter, that was definitely a good one for him as an actor. American Psycho was a bit of fun for him imo. He's no Sean Penn or Hoffman though.
Just discovered "Boy Wonder" on netflix and loved it. Really no complaints about it so I'm just gonna say 10/10. Never got too boring, the action was never over the top or unrealistic. If you've never heard of it here's the basic spoiler free run-down: Kid watches his mother die and becomes a vigilante. Of course the synopsis plus the film's title would make anyone instantly think of Batman and Robin. Think of a really dark Batman, more gritty, more violent, and he's not afraid to kill. The movie gets quite intense towards the end.
Looper was pretty great. Not sure if I'd call it must see but it was very solid. Good plot, action, set design, music, editing, etc. It was nice to see Bruce Willis in a good role again, even if it was fairly typical for him.
Looper 9/10 so fucking gooooooood

That reminds me as well, I watched 21 Grams the other day (Has Sean Penn in it) Brilliant film. I really like this director's style (multiple stories intertwined, non-linear structure) I watched it after watching Alejandro Inarritu's debut film Amores Perres, which was fantastic. I liked that a bit more than this but this was really good too. Genius film. I'll watch Babel and Biutiful at some point as well as they all seem really good, and my parents have them all so. Also I saw Looper yesterday. Easy the best film of the year. May well go see it again. Fantastic. Not like what I was expecting. I feel the trailers actually did fantastically in advertising the film. Joseph Gordon Levitt was fucking brilliant as was Bruce Willis, and the plot was really interesting. And the ending was seriously so good.

all these ratings without any opinions... makes the rating worthless.
all these ratings without any opinions... makes the rating worthless.
Well the thread is rate the last movie you watched.
Lawless. Great performances by Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf. Good balance of action and plot, and who doesn't enjoy a true story. I like the period of history in which it took place. I find it hard to give number ratings here. I honestly don't have any issues with the film(except one disturbing scene, but that's my opinion and not a real flaw). If we're going by quality of the film I'd say 10/10, but that doesn't mean it's my personal favorite film of all time.
Troll Hunter - 6/10 If this movie were done in a tongue in cheek way it could have been brilliant but it was far too long and serious for its own good. Looked really nice though.
The Avengers, 9/10. Holy shit I was smiling through that entire film, the humour was great and everything was just so fun and good.
Perks of Being a Wallflower 8/10 As one who has read the book which tone was melancholy throughout, the movie appeared to be more fun and whimsical which imo was a great direction to move towards.
Prometheus 9/10
The Quiet Earth 9/10 holy shit
The Avengers, 9/10. I didn't think it deserved the hype and the profits it had pulled down before I saw it, and I still don't think it does, but it was definitely better than I thought it would be, unlike another superhero movie this year.
Looper 9/10 I feel like this is a movie I'm gonna love to watch again and again.

I just could not miss Evil Dead II on the big screen so i got a bunch of people together and we went. it fuckin owned so much. You dont know Evil Dead until you've seen it on the big screen. Wore an Evil Dead shirt obv and got some pics cos I am really lame. 11/10 literally perfect
Hot Fuzz Great dark comedy, and parody of cop movies and slasher stories. C\?
I feel like I'm the only one who was incredibly bored by it. I've heard of some people who haven't liked it very much, but nobody was ever bored, it seems.
I don't see how you could possibly be bored by it. It was a pretty action packed film with tons of that wonderful Joss Whedon(admittedly, I'm a total fanboy for Whedon) personality.
I feel like I'm the only one who was incredibly bored by it.
You are.
