Looper - 9/10
A lot less action than I was expecting but that turned out to be a good thing. There were some really good characters and there were well developed. The story was pretty damn confusing but not to the point where I didn't know what was going on, would love to see it again to fully understand.
On Joseph Gordon-Levitt's CGI/makeup face, it was a little bit uncanny valley but it was still miles better than I've seen it done before.

Not CGI as far as I've read. There's some pics floating around of JGL in a make up chair and some interviews were they discuss it. Don't really see why they'd need to use cgi.

Either they're using some fucked up makeup or it's a hybrid with CGI because it looked pretty damn strange. Maybe I'm being dumb again.

[B]Opinion:[/B] Good comedy-horror movie with some action and Bruce Campbell in the main role. He did a great job on being badass and put off some awesome one-liners. The plot isn't life changing, but it's OK. The effects of course aren't the newest so don't expect special effects à la Transformers.
I can only recommend it!

I've been waiting for a triple screening forever, I could see the local cinemas here doing it maybe when the remake comes out next year (which I'm actually looking forward to and don't think it'll be fucked up just so long as it doesn't end up following the path of most modern horror films. hopefully it doesn't though since the reason its being made is to NOT be like one of those. plus Sam raimi and Bruce Campbell are producing.

Even my 63 year old mother who hates anything scifi or horror but loves courtroom dramas and life time movies liked Evil Dead 2.
