it should be appealing if you have any semblance of taste because having a good taste means you're appreciative of all genres
maybe he just doesnt enjoy horror/comedy films rusty...
if you're the kind of person to disregard an entire genre of film you are literally terrible and should be ashamed seriously
Night of the Living Dead - 5/10 I had seen Dawn and Day which I both thouroughly enjoyed and sat down to give this one a go. I didn't really enjoy it. Gattaca - 9/10 Just rewatching it and I loved it as much as before.
if you're the kind of person to disregard an entire genre of film you are literally terrible and should be ashamed seriously
Why so? It majorly depends on the genre. I mean I understand that you shouldn't say "it's bad" just because it's a certain genre, but saying "I don't like it" is perfectly fine, isn't it? I don't like the Evil Dead movies very much but I know they are good at what they are trying to do, but that's not me saying that the movies are bad.
what's funny is people actually care if people dislike a movie. It's their loss, not yours.
it should be appealing if you have any semblance of taste because having a good taste means you're appreciative of all genres
But I am appreciative of all genres, I'm just not appreciative of the Evil Dead movies. I get that they're supposed to be goofy shitty fun and whatnot but they just don't do anything for me. It's not like I have a problem with the genre either, I absolutely love Braindead and They Live for example, it's just that when I watch an Evil Dead flick and it finishes I'm left going "meh" or "that was kinda lame" or "yawn". And what's the big deal about not liking Evil Dead 2 anyway, you'd think I shat on a Herzog movie or a Bergman movie or something judging by all the people getting their panties in a bunch,
Project X 8/10 Party hard, cause riot. It was too fun, especially when the [sp]drug dealer came in with the flamethrower and Metallica - Battery was blasting in the background and shouting "GIVE ME BACK MY GNOME!!"[/sp]

...right.
I just finished watching Thief (1981) - Michael Mann's first feature film and it was fucking great, it's got all of his trademark extreme attention to detail and authenticity. James Caan is brilliant in it and it turns out it's also James Belushi's first film appearance. The final scene is fucking amazing: [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline] Also it kinda feels like Drive took a bit of inspiration from this movie.
2012 was 5/10, but the amazing Russian accents bring it up to 10/10.

Meh.
u can't form a constructiive response bcos youre wrong
Wrong dong HAHA.
Was emily blunt good in Looper?

I know this one guy who's definitely insecure about his manhood who would never watch like a romance or a romcom or anything just because they're faggy shit or whatever (he really loves Jason Statham and the stupid kind of action films that hes in-- says it all I'm sure. he also ranted at me for mixing whiskey because it ruins the whiskey apparently, he also drives a motorbike. insecure.) [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline]
Was emily blunt good in Looper?
Pretty good yea. It's her best role far as I've seen I reckon.

Prometheus 8/10. Great ending, not a great story line
Step Brothers - It was so fucking dumb, still some parts were enjoyable. 6/10 - I enjoyed it more then The Dictator. [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline]
Prometheus 8/10. The Sunset Limited. Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L Jackson converse about life while the other is convinced life isn't worth living. Not only is this one of Samuel L's best, most meaningful performances since Pulp Fiction, but it's the way he handles a person with no light in their heart that really gripped me. So damn depressing, but damn good too. Tommy Lee Jones gives a putridly dark performance that I even feared for him at the end. Ridiculously pessimistic, uncurable pessimism. Not a movie for all, as it takes place in one location and consists of just a conversation for the duration, but really for those who want to see it.. go for it.
it's a masterpiece of cinema, I haven't been gripped like that by a conversation since 12 angry men, and this has 10 less lead players
tommy lee's final monologue was incredible.. The words felt so real that it even made me sympathise with taking one's own life. That's a tough thing to do. [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline] also I just realised Samuel's character could have been the older version of his Pulp Fiction character. :v:
i saw that on hbo when it premiered, shit's good.

I've been looking for something like this for sometime(That's not all about Action etc.)
night of the living dead fuckin owns
Well I didn't like it. The first 10 or so minutes was pretty good but other than that I just didn't like it. IMO both day and dawn are much superior films.
day is my favourite of the romero's
