Super 8/10 Nice little film that you'll probably have to watch alone or with good friends because it's so violent and strange at times. Funny as hell though.

Dazed and Confused 8.5/10 i just like it
Chronicle 8/10 really good movie but i secretly [sp]wanted the insane guy to win[/sp]
30 Minutes or Less - 5/10 The beginning was super boring, the characters swore too much in general, and the ending was pretty meh.
My face during the entire duration of the movie --->
BASEketball 1998 Starring Matt Stone and Trey Parker Directed by David Zucker 7.5/10 I found it to be a really funny movie, but then again, I really love anything with Matt Stone and Trey Parker. The basic premise is that Joe "Coop" Cooper (Parker) and Doug Remer (Stone) invent a sport in their backyard that becomes a national phenomenon. Coop refuses to sell out, but Remer does. Meanwhile, Coop meets a girl named Jenna (Yasmine Bleeth) who runs a foundation for sick children. The film is mainly slapstick comedy. It's a great film overall though. Really fun to watch.
Blade Runner - 9/10 Great camerawork, great atmosphere, and it had Harrison Ford. I like how the villains were characters you really wanted to hate, no matter what (unlike Rorschach or The Joker, I'm sure there's a page on TVtropes about that). Loved the cyberpunk theme, and it can really pass for a 90's movie like someone in this thread said already. There's something else that's really good about this movie, but I can't put my finger on it. Also, I hate how Harrison Ford is so slow in all of his movies
kings of the road - 9/10 I've just recently been getting into foreign language cinema, and wow this is probably one of my favourite movies I've seen in years. It's about 3 hours long and nothing really happens throughout, but it left a bigger impact on me than any other thing I've ever seen. Obviously German cinema is different to American and English, so it'll probably be divisive with a lot of people, but I urge everyone to at least give it a try plus it featured onscreen uncensored defecation, which was interesting.
London Boulevard 9/10 Easily one of the best british crime drama genre films I've seen, great performances, especially by Colin Farrell and Ray Winstone. I was a bit dissappointed about the ending, it felt like it was treading over the same much trodden ground, but it works none the less.
Ghost Rider Vengeance - 3.5/10 Only redeeming thing about this film is Nick Cage acting like a weirdo.
Click 9/10 Almost made me cry at the end.
but it's definitely not a 9/10.
Click 9/10 Almost made me cry at the end.
Click is one of the shocks of the last decade for me. I genuinely love that movie and will defend it to my death.
Fracture - 6.5/10 Not bad.
Sherlock Holmes (2009, not the new one) Was good, 8/10. I liked it.
Ghost Rider 2 - 1/10 The two words that best define this movie are "unnecessary" and "awkward". A sequel for a movie that was considered horrible? The cartoon-ish parts with explanations of everything in the movie? Unnecessary. The horrible camera angles? Nic Cage freaking out? Awkward. The movie started pretty well, actually. That was until a hot girl with a gun appeared, what the fuck. Why does Hollywood feel the need to put a hot girl being "badass" in every single movie? Not to mention, she was wearing makeup, and [sp]I honestly don't know why you'd need makeup for a fight against the Devil[/sp]. The Ghost Rider is also one of the most powerful heroes on earth, but a [sp]grenade launcher stops him (though 2 Javelin rockets don't, for some reason)?[/sp] One of the coolest heroes, ruined by the two worst superhero movies of the last years.
I didn't even know that they made a second one.
Rear Window (Hitchcock, 1954) 9/10 Basically only 3 camera angles in the whole movie. Excellent acting and well written. Hitchcock is the man.
Holy shit you're right i didn't notice that
Immortals 7.5/10 This movie does not get my praise with its acting, because most if it is disgustingly bad. However, much like other "modern" Greek mythology movies (i.e 300, Clash of the titans and whatnot), the movie shined with its visuals, effects and amazing choreography. And with the surprising amount of gore (which makes this movie better than CotT) and the Mythology story telling, this movie really has a God Of War feeling to it, and I for one like that. Probably because I love slow motion scenes when they're done right, no matter how overused they are. If you like overly violent movies about Greek mythology, give Immortals a watch. Also, Theseus' speech was very dull and unforgettable, if only they had chosen a better actor. (P.S Be prepared for obvious mistakes and a few loopholes here and there)
clash of the titans is one of the worst movies i've ever seen painfully boring
clash of the titans is one of the worst movies i've ever seen painfully boring
If you make a Greek Mythology movie PG-13, it's bound to be boring.
I'm pretty sure they got some of the mythology all wrong also, the acting was more than bad I gave that movie a 4/10, I think
To be completely honest, the only reason I gave them such a high rating was because the director actually had balls to make an R rated mythology movie. And I fucking love those. After being so disappointed with Clash of the Titans, I was pleasantly surprised that they actually didn't pussify this one. Though the acting, oh my god why. If you're going to make a $75 million movie, don't fuck up the acting for gods sake. If it weren't for the 300-esque battles, I wouldn't have been able to watch through the movie.
oh yes, all that was pretty good indeed I watched clash of the titans while in a 10 hour flight I think it made me fall asleep
Ghost Rider Vengeance - 3.5/10 Only redeeming thing about this film is Nick Cage acting like a weirdo.
yep could have used more nick cage acting like a weirdo though
Shawshank Redemption 10/10
The Grey. 8/10 I was pleasantly surprised
The Grey 9/10 liam neeson's sexy voice is always a welcome addition plus the ending was really neat. i really don't have much at all to say negatively about it but i don't usually remember bad parts of movies unless they were atrocious anyway
saw "the artist". 8/10. it was clever, entertaining, and well acted but lacked any real substance. before that i watched "the rum diary". 6/10. the beginning was rather good, gave you that hunter s. thompson fear and loathing feel, and johnny depp is always entertaining to watch, but towards the end it becomes a clearly mechanical, mundane script, which hurt the acting.
