Avengers. 10/10 would watch again. Waiting for Iron Man 3.
Hostel Pt2 - 5/10
That movie has the most hilariously awful ending I have ever seen.
Psycho - 9/10.
After hearing about and seeing the infamous shower scene countless times, I put off watching this. I don't know why, I always forgot. I finally sat down and watched this after seeing Vertigo and Rear Window and I loved it. Why didn't watch this earlier? I have no idea. My recent viewings of Hitchcock's films have made me very eager to see the new Hitchcock (I suppose somewhat of a bio pic, correct me if I'm wrong) film with Anthony Perkins. The endings are obviously what most people note about Hitchcock's film, or at least those who I know do. What made this film for me was Anthony Perkins' fantastic performance. Socially awkward and a strange feeling I get whenever his face appears on screen, you can tell some things up when he is around. Like the scene where Norman and Marion are talking where it starts out as casual small talk, but slowly turns dark as it progresses. The private eye was also notable, I recognised him off of a Twilight Zone episode I had previously seen (that episode being Sixteen Millimetre Shrine), and he comes off as a suave and likeable character, but ever so nervous when he confronts Norman at the motel. Overall, I can definitely see why it's considered classic, if only I had watched it earlier. Apologies for the wall of text, but I felt like typing up a fairly short review, sorry also if you thought it was badly wrote.
Hunger - 9/10
fucking hell im in love with Steve McQueens movie making
the way the movie tells a story with minimum dialogue in one scene and then a whole 20 minute shot of Micheal Fassbender and Liam Cunningham having a chat in another scene
and since the movie is about dedication you can't not notice the dedication Micheal Fassbender put into this movie for losing so much goddamn weight, similair to Christian Bale in Machinist
i cant wait for Steve McQueens next movie which is already in post-production
to learn that conversation the other guy had to move in with Michael fassbender so they could rehearse it lots of times every day for ages. dedication.
Steve mcqueen is one of the best directors I've ever seen and he's only done 2 films. absolute genius. shame is one of the single best movies I have ever seen.

Why doesn't it surprise me that you'd rate a movie before watching it?

I finally watched Drive, I'd heard all about it but never got round to watching it. Picked up the bluray version.
It's such a good movie. I liked everything about it. I can't really describe it other than it's just cool, I dunno, the visuals and the music worked so well. And the tension and the unexpected violence from Gosling's character.
Kick Ass
7/10
Not bad, Cheesy, yet enjoyable

Dude I'm straight and he's one of the very few men I find attractive. I like him as an actor, too.
Why doesn't it surprise me that you'd rate a movie before watching it?
Because it's Hostel 2. It's basically gore porn and I'd rather spend 2 hours watching real porn instead.
The Terminal - 5/10
Tom Hanks' character was stupid and unrealistic and the dialogue in general was really bad. Looked nice though.
[editline]25th October 2012[/editline]
wtf Steven Spielberg directed it? The hell man.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - 9/10.
Another film I've been neglecting to watch. Great film, certainly something different. Johnny Depp does a great performance, coming of as quirky and oozing with nervous energy. Benicio Del Toro was creepy as all hell during the [sp]scene where he was threatening Raoul with the hunting knife asking him to throw the cassette player into the bathtub[/sp], and his reactions all around were hilarious with the scene in the elevator. The cast were all familiar faces and almost all I had recognised from one film or another. It's really hard to explain it, it's an experience to be watched. [sp]The reptile bar scene was damn fantastic and everything there was looking absolutely great, such as the blood entirely submerging the floors or before that even happens when he first trips when taking acid, the carpet crawling about.[/sp] It's something to recommend for the right person, certainly not for everybody. Overall, it's definitely worth a second watch to see whatever details I can find, [sp]for example the Flamingo Hotel room after Raoul had taken too much of that drug with the reptile costume, so many great details to be found[/sp] Loved it.
I love benicio del toro so much he is actually awesome and needs to do more stuff and the stuff he does needs to be lead instead of just support. when is he going to get his fuckin breakthrough???? traffic he was lead I think? but I only saw some of that since I fell asleep cos I was really tired. ill need to watch it again since it seemed good.
Just watched 'Man on a ledge'
Thought it was a pretty good movie, felt tense and involved rather than not caring about the characters. I was surprised actually.
8/10
Might be the wrong thread to ask, but I just watched the trailer for Drive.
It looks really interesting, although there seems a heavy emphasis on cars and such, on which I am not keen at all. So how is this movie? Not all about cars and crap like that?
cars are important so far as that he works in a garage and stuntdrives, and moonlight as a getaway driver. none are actually hugely important per-se, they're all just used to push the plot along. theres like 3 driving scenes. its not like fast and furious or anything lol.
Training Day for the second time, 9/10 still a great watch.

Oh yeah I watched Evil Dead I. Woah/10. Pretty funny.
