Seven 8/10 Brilliant movie, with great performances. Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt did a great job at playing the characters. Mills, the young hotshot who is impatient. Summerset, an experienced old veteran, patient and genius. But yet exhausted by all that he has seen over the course of his career. Then the whole setting is so gritty and dark. The murders are gruseome and diabolical. The chase between Mills and Doe was exciting. But the end was really great where Doe himself represents the last sin. It was a major twist, although knowing that his wife's head would be in the box was quite predictable. Yet still the scenery was amazing and it was really intense. Thanks AKz for your recommendation. Although I fail to see how this is related to organized crime.

Well, I thought of organized gangs and illegal criminal activies :v: Nice movie nevertheless.
you know what i mean when i say terry gilliam's older style. the same type you'd see in monty python and this film. it's not the humour. it's the style and visuals. it's really reserved in later movies like 12 monkeys. it's still there, but dialed back, which allows me to enjoy them. i just really fucking hate terry gilliam's style. it's annoying. as for no substance, the plot was just really stupid and incoherant. i knew what was going on - but barely. it felt like the whole reason for the plot was 'just because. im so random and cooky'. that film is just a fucking mess.
it's a little playful with structure that's all, you need to just chill and accept the craziness imo.
Latest Spiderman Reboot 7/10 The action and effects were fun and entertaining, but it seems so generic and the plot line is uncreative.
Does anyone know a good movie including a dark, gritty setting with organized crime and such?
Taxi Driver The Se7en No Country For Old Men From the top of my head.
Shame 84/100 Michael Fassbender's performance was just simply amazing. Really striking at some scenes in the movie The photography and the directing of some scenes are really, really excellent too.
Watched some movies today. Breakfast Club - 8/10 The Royal Tenenbaums - 7.5/10 Blade Runner - 9/10
Argo - 8/10 I've got kind of mixed feelings about it, because I typically don't watch movies like Argo, but it was great for what it was. Right from the get go it got my heart racing a little, then it slowed down and let you soak in everything that was happening, then it got me excited again. Ben Affleck did a great job, and so did every other actor in the movie.
Lots of disagrees on this page :v:
Lmao.

Saw 12 Angry Men yesterday as well! 86/100
"You don't mess with the Zohan" - Horrible jokes, poor performance/10 What the fuck are you doing Adam?
Has anyone else noticed Adam Sandler either plays a multimillionaire or a poor person. There's never any middleground except for maybe Click.
Downfall 9/10
Texas Chainsaw Massacre Nightmare on Elm Street Santa Sangre Suspiria
Saw Texas chainsaw massacre, not a real big fan of the series. I'll try to find a good quality version of NOES, and maybe some Jason movies too. I really should just start buying the DVDs, I'm a huge horror fanatic but I've only seen the re-makes of the series. Any other suggestions? Poltegeist was pretty decent but I didn't like it enough to warrant a watch of the second.
Rise Of The Foot Soldier
the events of that film happened near where I live
gonna watch Dances with Wolves for the first time, it's the 4 hour director's cut. awwwwwwwww yeah.
