you owe it to yourself to see that film
quit slackin on films
La Bamba - 90/100
Evil Dead II - 7/10 - Lol. I think it's a bit better than 1, and I think it has more actual jokes in it too.
Day of the dead (1985) - 8/10
holy shit some of those army guys were annoying as fuck
Evil Dead II - 7/10 - Lol. I think it's a bit better than 1, and I think it has more actual jokes in it too.
does this mean you rate evil dead less than 7/10
and actually rated evil dead II only 7/10
wtf

no i think i rated evil dead I 7/10 too.
yeah, i get that this movie is sacred to people, but i dont find it too compelling, that's why it's not higher. i like everything else about it.
how can you like everything about it except its not being "compelling" enough what does that even mean
Its not meant to like influence you to go and do anything or change your opinions or something it isn't trying to compell you to do anything they're just great fun horror films. 2 is the best of all time.
The Love Guru - unbearable/10
Oh god why are they just keep showing these horrible movies?
Just noticed, they never shown District 9 here :(
Dark Shadows - 6/10 Johnny Depp was the saving grace of this movie.
The Woman in Black - 7/10 It was actually pretty good.
INK - 11/10 Best thing I have seen in a long time.
Hunger 86/100
Fucking amazing movie. Everything felt very real, gritty and truly disgusting. I didn't have any real expectations nor did I know that much about the I.R.A situation or the hunger strike during those times.
The movie came as a total surprise to me and I thought it was very well made with acting being impressively top notch.
The scene were [sp]the prison guards are strapping down prisoners to violently cut their hair and wash them[/sp] felt so real and horrid. I think I had a disgusted facial expression on me the whole time watching most of this movie.
Hunger is one of the best films of recent years. Fucking outstanding, Steve McQueen is also one of the most talented directors of the 21st century along with Fassbender falling under the same category in acting. If you liked Hunger you'll love Shame. It's McQueen's second film, also starring Michael Fassbender, but it's better. Everything about it is better. The acting, directing, the plot is deeper and more intricate, Fassbender's characters is fantastically written and has such a deep, huge story and emotion behind his acting even though he doesn't say or do a massive amount. One of the best performances I've ever seen.
A Tale of Two Sisters - 8.5/10
It was hard to understand towards the end, but I found it a good movie overall. It reminds me of The Devil's Backbone. It has some scary ghost elements in it as well as a good plot between the characters to put it all together. Excellent movie.
Thirst (2009) - 8/10
I knew it would be fucked up knowing it was from the same guy who directed Oldboy, but it still surprised me. I found it a little bit too long for its plot, but overall, I enjoyed.
I'd recommend you guys should give both these movies a watch if you haven't yet.
not big complaint but they honestly did a rather piss poor job of Loki as well
I liked Loki. He was menacing and interesting enough when he was there, but simple enough that they could spend the vast majority of the time with the heroes, which they fairly needed considering how many heroes they were balancing.

im sorry i don't like it as much as you do.
not big complaint but they honestly did a rather piss poor job of Loki as well
Well, I do not know the detailed background of every character and certainly not how they behave. Loki seemed like a generic villain with an ugly hat.

I've seen it, but I actually thought Hunger was better although they are rather different from each other
Golden Eye 7/10
I find it little overrated in my opinion, too mush rambo/action for a James Bond movie.
The helmet looked so stupid.

The movie costume is a million times better than the comic version.
I thought it was quite fitting in both Thor and The Avengers.

Argo 10/10
Freddy vs Jason - 7.5/10
Regardless of people claiming it has virtually no story, I saw that the writers at least attempted to give it some sort of storyline. Granted, it had no connection at all to NOES or F13, but I kind of figured it wouldn't.
I love that movie. I had low expectations and it exceeded them. Definitely one of the better films in the two franchises. I really liked the ad campaign, with a fake press conference and everything, it was neat.

Whaaaat it's the best Bond movie
The Shining - 9.5/10
I've heard someone say it's overrated but it's fucking great.
Sinister 8/10
I liked the movie, but...
There seemed to be quite a bit of product placement in it, especially for Apple. They made it really noticeable that he was using a Mac and an iPhone.
And there was a really dumb CSI-like moment where he zoomed in on a shitty, blurry frame from an old film and it became clearer.
I didn't really get scared, but I think that has a lot to do with the atmosphere in the audience which was pretty bad, people were talking and moving a lot. My girlfriend almost walked out in the middle of the movie though, she got so scared she said she never wants to watch a horror movie again lol.
Trick r Treat 7/10
Good Horror movie

I like the movie as it is but the story makes no sense whatsoever, without reading parts of the books or looking online for some explanation.
Shame (2nd time) - 10/10
that fucking singing scene with carey mulligan gets me everytime how do they do that, jesus christ
and i dont know if this is real but i found this on the trivia page on IMDb:
The scene where Brandon hears his sister sing in the restaurant was shot in real time. James Badge Dale and Michael Fassbender had never heard Carey Mulligan sing before so their reactions were real. The scene was shot at 3 a.m with cameras focused on all 3 performers at the same time.
[editline]as[/editline]
somehow Steve McQueens movies and David finch's movies have some similair things imo
they are on par for me
Trick r Treat 7/10
Good Horror movie
One of the best IMO.
[editline]1st November 2012[/editline]
Of it's type obviously.
The last movie i saw on the cinama must be paranormal activity 4 with my friends.
it was an ok movie, it didnt have this big WOW factor but it was ok. i must admit it was some few scares that gave me a little jumpscare but else my ears got blown by the girls screaming on each so called "scares".
i guess this movie depends on how much you like the paranormal style of movies.
i will give this movie a
4/10 - scares
4/10 - movie
1/10 - rewatchable (these movies is best the first time you watch them because you dont know what happens but its not really worth watching again cause you know everything)
Trick r Treat 7/10
Good Horror movie
i really liked it, and wanted to watch it again but netflix removed it literally the day i wanted to watch even though it was on there the night before.. i hate and love netflix, really obnoxious and yet helpful at the same time.
I like the movie as it is but the story makes no sense whatsoever, without reading parts of the books or looking online for some explanation.
Uhh what about it doesn't make sense? It's a horror movie - it's very followable but it descends into madness. Most of them do that
What exactly happened to Jack? What is it about time travel, is he mentally insane? Is the mansion haunted? Is it all an illusion? Are the all the people ghosts?
You get a lot of clues, for instance that the hotel is build on a sacred indian ground. Also it seems like the isolation and lonlyness got to Jack. Also what about the waiter that killed his family. You get tons of clues and such but nothing is really explained. Also what about that picture in the end? The blood in the elevator? Besides the actually ability of "Shining" is really not that developed throughout the story.
I read that Jack is the actual waiter, but he is incarnated in a loop. Which made no sense to me. The obvious explanation is that he has gone mad due to the isolation. But what about the ghosts then? Is it all haunted?
