Bronson 4.8/5 reefer may or may not be affecting my rating right now
well clearly that 4.8 should be a 5
I was trying to be conservative about it but I definitely agree
The Artist 10/10
We watched Hunger Games and Battle Royale back to back. 7/10 and 8/10 respectively. Though Battle Royale had had some hilarious things, which my friend could not stop laughing about. Especially the "you're so cool" dying words. Overall, the HG was easier to watch, and BR was more brutal by far.

Unbreakable 8/10
The Devil's Double - 8/10 another memorable 2011 movie. I liked the constant fear and dark tone they managed to do When it came to movies where the main actor plays 2 roles i always thought Moon was the best in it (i havent seen Adaptation), but Dominic cooper did an excellent job

End Of Watch 8/10 Really enjoyed this movie, it reminded me a lot of the 1988 movie "Colors". This movie does the handy cam like filming but pulls it of nicely, you don't feel dizzy, and it shows you everything. I really suggest people to go out and watch this film. Great story line and character immersion.
abraham lincoln vampire hunter was so fucking bad are you kidding me [editline]4th November 2012[/editline] pops you have such badtaste
Are you kidding? I loved it.
while ALVH certainly got cheesy at parts (the train fight where they keep switching the axe) i still found myself enjoying it. also whats his face isn't that great a lincoln, but i kept thinking "shit he looks like liam neeson" so i forgot about it.
he was a shit Lincoln but I liked the film, possibly because I expected it to be absolutely utterly terrible but I thought it was surprisingly decent. it was silly and the plot sucked but it was fun to see in the cinema with friends. the train scene was the best part, that bit owned
boy wonder 7/10 it was pretty cool, the fight scenes were sick
Are you kidding? I loved it.
I expected better from a Chuck fan. :(
The Thing. Holy shit why didn't I see this earlier.
The Thing (1982) Amazing, cinematic masterpiece 9.8/10
Adaptation 9.2/10 amazingly well written. nicolas cage his best movie imo
Adaptation 9.2/10 amazingly well written. nicolas cage his best movie imo
Bad Lieutenant is probably his second best.
I need to watch both those films. and lord of war. unironically love nicolas cage (srs)
unironically love nicolas cage (srs)
if you don't love nicolas cage you're a bod, no arguement. [editline]4th November 2012[/editline] urgh, Bad Lieutenant has 6.7/10 on IMDB. that's it, IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes are both ARSE for ratings, stay away from them. (Rotten Tomatoes gives forrest gump lower than a 75% average, that's proof right there that it's shit)
rt is awful and I stay right away from it, IMDb is good imo. I consider IMDb a quite strict rating system and assume anything over a 6 is a decent-good film. I've seen films rated 6 odd that I've given 8,9,10. if a films over 7.5-8 then its usually brilliant I find. I like IMDb.
i'm indifferent with imdb, i stick to individual reviews and if they convince me a movie is worth seeing i'll just go for it.
Sin City - 9 The characters were amazingly well played out, and the whole movie was intense.
The Five Obstructions It's a great movie if you're a fan of either Jørgen Leth or Lars von Trier, if you're just interested in the mindset of an artist, or even if you just like to see how more intimate movie sets work behind the scenes. It is a strange mixture of documentary and art house, and of humor and self-insight. 8.5/10
Skyfall - 8/10 I felt there was a much bigger focus on characters rather than action in this movie, which worked better than I would have thought. The action is still there and is pretty spectacular but not up to par with other bond movies. Not as good as Casino Royale, better than Quantum of Solace.
The Fighter - 8.8/10 Damn good movie, felt alot like Warrior. actually not sure which one i would rate higher. amazing acting by christian bale
Adaptation 9.2/10 amazingly well written. nicolas cage his best movie imo
Damn the BBC can be good at choosing movies.. American Beauty then The Big Kahuna (been wanting to see this for ages)
Face-Off, 8/10 Action scenes were badass. Who know Nick Cage versus John Travolta in an action movie would be so good? Really interesting & unique cinematography (in a good way). Good acting, interesting scenario, what's not to like? One of my top action movies now.
Lost Highway - 8/10 -I liked this movie, it's underrated. -Creepy as shit at first. -It's a nice non-linear plot. -Would rewatch.
Total Recall (1990) - Fucking fantastic, Arnold always makes me laugh, and Verhoeven is a fantastic director. Total Recall (2012) - Unworthy of being considered a remake, next to none of the book is in this film and Mars is nothing more than a few lines. Crap.
