[IMG_thumb]http://i.cubeupload.com/cNK0c8.png[/IMG_Thumb] 2046 - 8/10. A writer in 1960s Hong Kong recounts the time he spent with three women over the years. Very artsy, definitely not everyone's cup o' tea. I kept getting angry at the main character at the decisions he was making, but only because I realized his actions reflected my own and I could now see how much of an asshole I was.
This is definently one of my next films to watch. If you haven't already seen In The Mood For Love yet, you should do yourself that favour. AFAIR 2046 is an independent sequel to it. Wong Kar Wai is amazing.
Taken 2 0.1/10 Absolutely dreadful, it looked to be like one of those films: "Alright, we've wasted all the money we got from perfectly good film Taken, now let's make a sequel just for $$$."
Biutiful 2010 Javier Bardem delivers in this tale of a man who has to bring closure to his life and tie up lose ends. Its a story about death, exploitation, conscience and so much more. This isn't for those without an attn span so steer clear if you need quick delivery. The misery and struggle people choose in their lives baffles me sometimes but the film portrays exactly that. This is one of those films that makes you think and take stock. Last time I wept this much was when my hamster died, when it exploded in the microwave I cried with laughter. Oh yes, hello again, hopefully this account won't get caught by the FP Stazi and banned because I don't like shit webcomics.
Watch out tutsy pie, this is an internet big shot you're talking to here. I don't do ratings but give a brief write up on how I felt. Ratings are only needed for those without attn. This film is not for you. Kisses.
yet you give it 3/4?
Well it's the best Korean movie i've seen not the best movie overall.
I'd say 3/4 is a movie I enjoyed but didn't have a deep influence/effect or compatibility with me.

Skyfall - 9/10 Bond's back baby!
Ghost in the Shell: Innocence 8/10 Watched this after watching the first one a while ago. I actually liked this one a lot more. Mostly I think because I'm a sucker for good atmosphere and setting. And this movie has a lot of it.

Decided to rewatch The Lion King in 1080p. 10/10, oh god I cried, I cried in HD.
A Serious Man (2009) The Coen bros can sometimes create these subtle ticks and expressions in groups of characters that make those quirky communities so entertaining in their films and this time they do the Jews. The stereotypes are all there so on paper, this should be a good film but I didn't think it was. As usual, the story takes the occasional branch off with a couple of characters which leads to nothing but unlike their other films, this time I didn't give a shit. The main story is about a man who gets shit on and abused/used by everybody in his life and he puts up with whatever people dump on him. There are some humourous parts but on the whole this was quite boring. I don't recommend watching this film unless you are a fanatical Coen fan. This is a great film however>>
Go watch Joint Security Area

I finally watched Beowulf in class about a week ago. It was an excellent movie and the mix between acting and animation was really cool. I suggest watching the movie.
there's dozens of beowulf movies, be specific yo. i hope you don't mean that cgi crapfest from 3 years ago or whenever it came out (that has angelina jolie).
Die Hard 2 - 10/10 - First was going to complain about how crazy coincidence same man and his wife get involved in another terrorist/hostage situation, but by the end of the movie I didn't even care. Just like the original it gave me a huge Max Payne feeling throughout. I honestly think I enjoyed it about as much as I did the first one.
Anyone know of good hipster movies. [editline]7th November 2012[/editline] I meant those artsy fartsy ones.
Atonement is just a great film, not arty. Magnolia is maybe a bit arty in places or maybe if you want to push the boat right out, the 'Holy Mountain'. Just make sure you have a bag of weed ready for that one.
amilie is super hipster im p sure grest film, quirky and nice. kinda weird, really good though.
What I've seen it How was it hipster Just because its french Do you have something against the french
Hugo 8/10 Took me by surprise this one, filled with great actors like Ben Kingsley (Schindlers list), Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat, The Dictator), Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), Christopher Lee (Star Wars and Lord of the Rings) and Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes) Loved the character development and how everything connected to each other the further the movie goes
Can anyone recommend me some Sci-fi, probably Action like Aliens movies? Or Drama like MOON? With near-future tech involved and stuff like that?
The Devil's Double (2011) 6.5/10
