Ted - 7/10 I thought some parts were decent, for a not serious, a teddy weed smoking, cursing, sexing teddy movie would be.
The Fall - 9/10 a freaking visual masterpiece. amazing cinematography, you can really see that each scene is lovingly crafted. each scene is like a freaking picture, the opening sequence was amazing (especially when watched a second time). You can really see the vision behind this whole creation. costume + prop porn, no CGI used whatsoever, and the bright colors amplify the experience all the more! plus, lee pace is such a babe. this is definitely not for everyone, but the stunning visuals seriously cannot be missed out, i mean look at this! Zelig: 85/100 I liked the documentary style that Woody Allen used. Pretty short and it was boring at times, but it was good otherwise.
Gonna watch 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time. Shutting everything down for it. [editline]13th November 2012[/editline] Dogma - 6.9/10
Skyfall. 8/10. It's a pretty neato movie and I like how they try to make it more story based, but it needs more action. I mean there was 3 fight scenes [sp]and the way the villain died was incredibly anti-climactic. Not even remotely satisfying. The writer needs to be fired for that.[/sp]

Sinister was pretty cool for a horror movie most fucked up horror i seen this year
Hanna. 7/10 Good watch good story, but kinda slow and unsatisfying ending. Seems like a film for smaller movie-houses not big cinema's.
Oh I saw Mullholland Drive yesterday, 86/100
Seven Psychopaths - 9/10 absolutely fantastic. sam rockwell steals the show.

2001: A Space Odyssey What the fuck? I like it. Visually stunning. Still tryna soak it in.
2001: A Space Odyssey What the fuck? I like it. Visually stunning. Still tryna soak it in.
you seen solaris?
you seen solaris?
naw
naw
it's nothing like space odyssey but you seem like a dude who may like it.
i'll czech it out [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] in deux time lol
you seen solaris?
I still need to see that, next time I'm at Barnes & Noble I am going to go through the criterion section and get the Blu Ray.
The Amazing Spiderman. I liked this more than the old spiderman movies, though they weren't bad either. I loved the way Peter found out of his powers, that was funny. Although I didn't like the lizardman's face. It seemed too "alien" (Star Treck mask-like) rather than a real reptile, though thats how it would probbaly look if you suddenly transformed into a half-lizard. I'd give it about 8/10, it was a really great movie but didn't blow my mind off. I hope they make a good sequel.
Daybreakers 7/10 Maybe not a groundbreaking film for the genre (no pun intended), but it was thoroughly entertaining and had some really cool moments.
Lord Of War: Depressing/Depressing I mean, goddammit. The scene where Nick Cage was wandering about that war-torn town tripping balls on drugs showed his downfall - from a successful rich man with a beautiful wife to a wreck of a man torn apart by emotions. On the other hand, I loved how cynical was his narration and how sarcastic was his actual dialogue at times. ("A new MP5. Want a silencer for that?") Was really impressive visually as well at times (the opening scene from the POV of a bullet, for example), and had some great acting goin' on (I thought Jared Leto would be as mediocre of an actor as he's of a musician, but he actually played his role very well, also Nicholas Cage, who's probably one of my favourite actors, despite some of the movies he appeared in).
you seen solaris?

it's nothing like space odyssey but you seem like a dude who may like it.
Soderbergh or Tarkovsky?
Clerks 2 - 6.75/10 The donkey scene and jail scene are hilarious.
Lawless An entertaining enough drama with some cool standout scenes and a terrible ending, that would have been a lot better without Shia Labeouf everyone else delivered a solid performance though i give it a 6.5
Soderbergh or Tarkovsky?
Gonna have to say Tarkovsky, but that's only because I'm a mug who likes to relax. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] yeah I saw the new bond flick Skyfall. What they did is go back to the drawing board and build a whole new way of making a bond film. I was pretty shocked that Sam Mendes was going to direct this, all I could see was the entire franchise going into a new realm with that dude's capabilities. I could say it's the most boundary challenging bond flick so far, it's definitely pretty. Craig's kind of a natural with his flawed Bond, you see a real pain in his eyes, reminds me he's human after all. Who else managed to pull it off? Brosnan? Not a chance. What Mendes likes to do, is use his time wisely, take it easy and let you learn a bit rather than jumping here and there with not much comprehension. (quantum of polish) I also love how it even takes its time during the scenes where you expected things to be over pretty quickly. Lots of room to breathe, but not overly long as some may think. (a conversation worth hearing at long last). The No Country For Old Men guy was very sickening, and damn good. Bits of his performance reminded me of Hannibal Lectar. All in all, dark and raw compared to the last 22 (haven't seen License to Kill yet) and finally a Bond film that could go down as something more meaningful to me than I expected. The commencing sequence was inspired, parts reminded me of the film Gandhi when commuters sit on the top of the train then they put their heads down when a tunnel came. Shame the Indian Government disallowed them to do the same thing, but what can you do. Also, literally empty cinema which was good. I finally took to liking the theme song after hearing it on the cinema's sound system. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] Also the new music composer, Thomas Newman.. seriously needed. David Arnold was getting tired and a bit repetitive with his Wallace soundtrack, here it's a lot less emphasized on "spy grooves" and more elegantly done tbh.
Pterodactyl -2/10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUMtPzAHMbk&t=3m40s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUMtPzAHMbk&t=2m35s
I only saw it once but I could picture myself watching it over and over.

The Dark Knight Rises. And frankly, I found the previous Dark Knight to be a lot better. But since millions of dollars were put into it, and it had a big flying machine, it was anticipated by everyone, and everything, I gotta give it 8-9/10 or so. Robin was cool though.
Dude, spoiler tag that. And don't give it a high rating because it was highly anticipated. Give us your own take on it.
didnt know he was in it till i saw that. that's cool. haven't seen the movie yet
