Solaris 8.5/10 Really enjoyed this movie, was very tense and interesting. The actors were great, and the plot really made me hold on. Now I want to watch Stalker, being a fan of the series and enjoying this movie.
Wreck-It Ralph 9.5/10 Absolutely brilliant. I loved it. Characters, voices, animation, design, references, plot, wrecks, honeyglows. This was excellent. I had a huge smile on my face when it all wrapped up. Also the short Paperman was good; the animation was better than the 'story' though.
The Godfather - 9/10 Hell yeah. First time watching it as an adult.
Valley of the Wolves: Iraq - 3/10 It's a bunch of people trying to act like rednecks in funny costumes while there's a story about an agent or something. Pretty funny, i guess.
Just watched Black Swan...My mind... :suicide:
Detachment - 9/10 well i did not expect it to be this good There was this constant layer of realism with a perfect balance of hope and pain that manages to not have a happy or bad ending Its just so straight forward and realistic also adrian brody was amazing
loved this film. [editline]19th November 2012[/editline]
Cloud Atlas-8.5/10. Definitely one of the best films of 2012.
So you found a movie you liked better than Batman? :-)
Watched The Thing again last night because my roommate hadn't seen it. Still awesome. [sp]On this viewing, I think Childs was infected at the end.[/sp]
Yesterday, I saw the later 2/5 of "Sanctum" and "I, Robot". But somehow I saw "You don't mess with the Zohan" from the start. What a shitty day.
just found out UKers won't get Cloud Atlas til February... :suicide: that's 5 fucking months after the US date..
skyfall 10/10 because i havent seen a real movie in a while i have no standards
didn't know where else to post this, I'm about to enjoy a spliff and was wondering which of these three movies would be best for the occasion, last time i watched 'eternal sunshine of a spotless mind' absolutely baked and it was incredible. Right here we go; Like Crazy, Wall-e American Beauty. Thanks guys! Maybe you can rate for your opinion Agree for 'like crazy' Zing for 'wall-e' And artistic for 'American Beauty'
I think you'd really like it. A lot of people have been comparing it to "The Tree of Life"
doubt it'll be anything like Tree of Life aesthetically, but I get what you mean.
Argo - 8/10 I found it to be extremely interesting and very engaging, an entertaining film that I would really recommend seeing! also
Chaos - 5/10 Brother bought the DVD in some sale and let's just say it wasn't my cup of tea. Jason Statham should stick to action hero roles.
Rushmore (1998) - 7/10 + Probably my favorite film from Wes Anderson so far. It's a simpler story than Tenenbaums or Zissou, but I like that about it and it works. ~ It's interesting that the surreal visuals I usually see from him aren't here. Other than that the film's style is very much like him even in this earlier movie. Pretty awesome.
Let the right one in 9.5/10 Amazing performance by both of the stars. Even having to watch it with subtitles truly didn't lessen the emotional impact of the story. Truly phenomenal. Speaking of that I will now shamelessly plug the fact that in about ten minutes I will be streaming "Let me in" and then "Let the right one in" at www.twitch.tv/alobomb if you're interested feel free to come aboard.
Planet Terror - 8/10 Quite awesome. Rodriguez/Tarantino always have great scripts.
After the Batman fiasco I had to watch a 2012 film that would be a bit more compatible with me. End of Watch. Really good. Gyllanhall is good as ever, it could be one of his very best performances who knows. On the surface, it's a very simple premise, but what it lacks in depth is made up for with its raw display of a cop's life. It won't be for everyone.. as you know we have these times when people get agitated by stereotypes and get all anal about the situation. There's bad acting, and then there's being natural. I don't know what it is about people's take on stereotypes, does it have to be this much of a big deal? People have also talked about the camera work being difficult to keep up with, it's fair enough but this is to me feels like half a documentary and half a film. Sorta "District 9-esque" thing going on, except better. Anyway, very much worth a watch.
I don't really go into WWE Studios movies expecting anything good. That being said, I thought Barricade would at least be tolerable. It's the first movie in a long time I didn't want to finish. It was almost a chore. They gave away the "big twist" really early into the movie and concluded it by acting like you were dumb and didn't pick up on it. 2.5/10.

I enjoyed it, thought the acting was good, and would watch it again. 8/10
Galaxy Quest - 7/10 Lmao.
Reservoir Dogs - 8.5/10 Epic. Definitely would rewatch.
are you just watching movies all day
Pretty much.
Ive been like Pal13. My PC is on the fritz and I cannot play games anymore so I've watched about 60 hours of television/movies in the last three days. Netflix looks pretty empty after two years unemployment.
I'm just gonna put all my ratings/thoughts from a week in one post. I can see how small constant posts can get annoying.
i didn't say they were annoying i just noticed a streak [editline]20th November 2012[/editline] post a million times in a row i dont care
post a million times in a row i dont care
The first half of Batman 3 was pretty redundant imo.
