I take it that rating TV shows is okay as well?
In this case: Breaking Bad - 9/10
While not perfect, it's really freaking amazing. The dark humour is hilarious, the grittiness is really gritty (that damn Peekaboo episode, man), and everyone plays their roles really well. Pretty much the only thing I don't like is that all the family drama FAR outweighs the drugs focused parts - it's well written and interesting, but it tends to drag on a bit.
Although I just finished the third season yesterday and the fourth is apparently much more drugs and much less Skyler, so that's good.
All in all, I don't think I've ever seen a better TV series (but then again, I hardly ever watch TV series, this might be the first one I'm planning on watching in its entirety)
How's Argo?
only problem with Argo is (and i know it's going to sound stupid) is that you know exactly how it ends, no surprises at all and totally by the numbers. Still a good watch (though waaay too long) with a surprisingly believable performance from Afleck but the "Suspence suspence suspence" last act was so un-nneeded.
it wasn't too long at all
i didn't feel it dragged at any part in the whole film. didn't feel long at all. need to see it again.

even though everybody knows they survive it, it was still intense as hell nonetheless

Punch drunk love - 7.5/10
at first I was confused at why Adam Sandler played in it, but damn he did a good job
Sinister 4/10
Repetitive, predictable, fast-paced for a slow-paced plot, unrealistic acting, generally bad acting (Especially by that fucking police officer), not scary in the least for a damn horror film [sp]The only moderately scary part was when the deity popped out in front of the camera when the guy was looking at the kids in the attic[/sp]
The plot had potential, but this movie definitely didn't deliver.
Superbad. 9/10. Holy shit I never understood what the hell "McLovin" was until now.
Superbad is still in my top 25. It's funny every time I watch it.

that movie is at least an 8/10 from me. Fucking love that movie, it's great. Adam should play more serious roles and less jacky jilly shitty fucky (although he earns insane amount of money from twelve year old and by scamming the shit out of producers, i think)
oh and did i mention that the soundtrack is fucking great too? of course, it's by one of my favorite composers (mentioned once again) jon brion:

the suspense at the end was perfect. if a movie's ending is going to be predictable like that, it takes a good movie to get you on the edge of your seat and invested.
also the hollywood scenes were fantastic. argo is great go see it
Shawshank Redemption, Fucking 10 out of 10.
Lawless, 8/10 Hardy is great
Die Hard With a Vengeance 7/10
Not as good as the first two, and it was also more over-the-top than ever before. I still enjoy Bruce Willis as an actor(especially when he was younger and with hair).
Animal Kingdom- 8/10
Nice story, nice acting, Pope's a faggot. The main actor ain't that fantastic, Guy Pearce steals the show (as usual)
[editline]28th November 2012[/editline]
except for LA Confidential where the show was stolen by James Cromwell and Danny Devito
[editline]28th November 2012[/editline]
He better bloody well steal Iron Man 3 too

yea i might have rated it a bit lower than i meant. i think its because comparing it to P.T. andersons other movies, it is kinda different and less happens in it. still loved the shit out of it, especially adam sandler
and ive been listening to the ost ever since ive watched it haha
The Breakfast Club - 9/10
Really good high school film, in fact the best ever made. It really breaks apart stereotypes and it's pretty funny too. You should all watch it if you haven't yet. It starts out really slow though, and the entire movie's set in the school with the same 5 characters, so that may bug you. It's for the best of the movie though.
One thing bugged me about it though. It seems like [sp]Brian (the nerd) was completely neglected throughout the entire movie. I can understand that's the point of his character in the beginning of the movie, but even at the end he was left out or made fun of. When he was talking about how he tried to kill himself, Andrew laughed at him :v: (even though it was critical to the plot because it caused everyone to laugh at themselves). Then Claire and the rest of the group sorta peer-pressured him into writing the "essay" instead of all of them writing it together or something like that. At the very end of the movie, everyone has a love interest and everyone's kissing except for him. It didn't seem right for the message the movie was sending.[/sp]
Fight Club 10 out of 10.
After reading the novel on a friend's recommendation, I decided to watch the movie to see if it was any good. I was blown away by it.
Lawless, 8/10 Hardy is great
yeah I loved it, gets a definite hrrmm/10 from me
Just watched 'The Lucky One.' The movie is definitely a chick flick, but I would rate Zach Effron's eyes and eyelashes a 9.5/10.

That's a great movie, but I hate what they did to Ally Sheedy in the last few minutes.
Chaplin
8/10
Apocalypse Now: 10/10
Best movie I've seen in years. Jesus Christ.
wait, theatrical or redux?
I've seen people do this before for Game of Thrones and Lost, so...
The first season of The Walking Dead- 9/10
Watched it all in one sitting, too. It's a fucking great show, but I hear that the second season is really disappointing.
The series is all-around pretty disappointing. I swear I die a little inside each time they use 10-20minutes of screen time for the most pure bullshit drama.
The last movie I watched was in theaters, The Dark Knight Rises.
I really love that movie, so far it's honestly my favorite movie.
The only problem I had with it was the there wasn't enough fight scenes (but when there were, it made up for it)
I'd give it a 9.9/10, since I honestly enjoyed the shit out of the movie. My favorite since the 2006+ era james bond films
being john malkovich - malkovich/malkovich
Paranorman - 7/10
being john malkovich - malkovich/malkovich
if you liked that watch adaptation. its written by Charlie Kaufman who wrote being john malkovich, and stars nicolas cage playing Charlie Kaufman writing his next screenplay after the success of being john malkovich, cage also plays his fictional from brother. very meta. very good. one of cages more respectable roles (i stand by and defend my view that nic cage is one of the best actors in the past 20 years-he fuckin owns)
wait, theatrical or redux?
i saw redux
Pi 7.5/10
2creepy4me sometimes because I'm a pansy.

The first season is bad and the second season is terrible dude. zombies don't automatically equal good
it's frank darabont's character drama at it's very worst. dude can't write believable people
pretty sure he's booted off in season 3 hence why it's better.

[editline]asd[/editline]
also Cloud Atlas - 8/10
i also watched Adaptation for the first time not too long ago, its story was refreshing but it didn't make a massive impact on me.
