lol you don't know what your talking about.
unfortunately i am one of the few who does i don't know why so many people don't see through the movie's horribleness but they don't they get too caught up in OMG ADVENTURE OMG DWARVES SO EPIC and they just flat out fail to see how fuckin terrible everything about the film is [editline]3rd December 2012[/editline] note: the books are probably terrible too [editline]3rd December 2012[/editline] everyone do me a favour and try to watch the movie objectively, pretend you're not already a huge fan of it and it's lore and fantasty stuff. maybe you will see what i mean
Don't listen to rusty he's fucking useless and never saw Seven Psychopaths
[editline]3rd December 2012[/editline] note: the books are probably terrible too
and this right here is why i don't value any opinion rusty gives. he's like the ebert of this forum, he likes things that i like, we disagree on shit from time to time, but ultimately his opinion means nothing to me.

[editline]3rd December 2012[/editline] please i am just trying to do you guys a favor and helping you to see that the enjoyment you are deriving from those films is wrong can't you see
All you did so far is listing some accusations without any factual backup.
lol you don't know what your talking about.
and it would be super great for people to give reasons as to why it's good - other than 'omg fantasy' because i always give examples of why it is very bad and nobody ever counters it other than just saying 'ur wrong'. tell me dudes, does it have good acting? an interesting plot? legitimately good battle scenes? because from where i am standing those things are horrific.
Killing them Softly 9/10 Great movie, but felt like it had a slow start to it. Did not go in expecting [sp]a political allegory, though. But that made me love it even more[/sp]
All you did so far is listing some accusations without any factual backup.
i have to discuss why it's bad on a scene by scene basis? (hint: i don't)
Then deal with people liking the movie. You told me and AK'z to go away with not liking TDKR as much, when obviously a lot of people do like it a lot. Do the same now please and let people look forward to The Hobbit without saying how bad it will be or back up your opinion with examples.
End of Watch is a very good movie and all, but its not close to TDKR i mean cmon
Not only was it more natural, it was a lot less bloated with useless characters. If you cried at TDKR and not End of Watch, you need some reassessing to do. :-] [editline]2nd December 2012[/editline]
it's lore and fantasty stuff.
ain't that the entire point of the film?
lol rusty is turning into ak'z with TDKR
overall it was really corny and awkward and way too bromancey to the point of ridiculousness. script could have used a lot of work too
If it was corny and awkward, then I fail to see what was wrong with it being like that. And the dialogue was natural, what do you actually require them to say? As for "bromancey", you lack the humanity to comprehend manlove.
End of Watch - 7.5/10 Pretty poor start tbh and I wasn't mad about the 'hand-held' filming style they used, particularly when they jumped from handhelds to standard without so much as a warning, which made it rather jarring and confusing at times. Dialogue between the Hispanic cartels can also be summed up as follows: FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKYOUFUCKINGFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK. If this is how dudes in Cartels actually talk they should have their mouths stapled shut before being tossed in jail. It picked up by the end of the first act though and Jake Gyllanhaall and Michael Peña gave some pretty good accounts and the end was pretty brutal imo. Not exactly superb but perfectly enjoyable and a solid watch.

Not exactly superb but perfectly enjoyable and a solid watch.
on the surface it is a pretty solid flick, but when you look at it as compared to other police films, you realise that unlike the majority which show them as wreckless and wild; this one shows they have real care for their task. So much care in fact, that they'd die for it. For me personally, it was just a film filled with actual believable relationships with the main characters and performances by the other cop actors.
have you even seen many westerns?
The Lord of the Rings trilogy bluray extended editions, all three in one sitting. 100000/10
The Lord of the Rings trilogy bluray extended editions, all three in one sitting. 100000/10
For some reason the trilogy is still amazing, it has aged so well. The effects still look great.
Well, to be fair, not really.
watch Unforgiven and Dances with Wolves. [editline]3rd December 2012[/editline] you remember any of the names of those westerns your family used to watch?
The Sandlot 9/10, one of my favorite movies ever.
Well, to be fair, not really. I grew up in with a family who loved them and I've seen my fair share of them, but they just didn't interest me. Most of the time I just walked out of them as a kid. I seem to like newer westerns more for some reason. "True Grit" was great and "Django Unchained" looks awesome.
The thing about old Westerns for me is that they always feel too slow and boring. I like "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" because it's pretty much the origin and definition of Western and because ~Clint Eastwood~ but the other old Westerns feel like they copied off of it. However, newer Westerns now are trying out newer things and not stealing the formula of the old Westerns, so they feel fresh and neat.
The thing about old Westerns for me is that they always feel too slow and boring.
why do you people never give any examples...
you might have seen a few John Wayne westerns, I was the same way when I caught the original true grit as a kid
saw Fistful of Dynamite as a kid and loved it.
"Nobody" is a pretty funny yet somewhat melancholic tongue in cheek western with Henry Fonda. I watch it at least once a year.
people need to get their 'paint your wagon' on
Men in Black 3 8/10 I really liked it, so many people were skeptical about it
saw Fistful of Dynamite as a kid and loved it.
watch Once Upon A Time In The West with your family, like I did I mean there's only [sp]one rape scene[/sp] Seriously dad, wtf check the movie before screening it for the whole family, we could just marathon the Clint Eastwood ones dad, whyyyyyy [editline]3rd December 2012[/editline]
people need to get their 'paint your wagon' on
I second this
kevin smith knows what i'm talkin about are u guys saying that kevin smith is wrong??
the collection: 0/10 Messy. Boring. Bullshit.
