Drive: 8/10
A damn good soundtrack, tempted to purchase it on iTunes, pretty cool scenes, and surprisingly violent, didn't expect it.
Resident Evil: Retribution - 2/10
Bad CGI, Lousy acting, worse story and the worst thing.. Looks like there will be (yet another) movie. How i wish we could just get a proper reboot of the Resident Evil move franchise. Either that or just let it be!
I keep seeing a short section of the movie play on demo display televisions at work, and I cant help but burst into laughter whenever I see it. It shows the car chase sequence which I assume is supposed to show off the movies special effects and such, it is just so bad.
Pulp Fiction: 10/10
I don't think I ever got bored when I was watching it, despite the fact that it was a shitty rip with sketchy audio. My favourite scene was when [sp]Vince shot Marvin in the face[/sp].
-snip-
Am I the only person who actually liked Red Tails? I'd at least give it a 6.5/10.
Sinister
8/10
Man I cannot remember the last time a thriller gave me shivers like this one did. Now the story has some cutbacks I'll admit, but the actual atmosphere in the movie makes up for that tenfold. I was pleasantly surprised when the movie wasn't filled with a insane amount of jumpscares.
Watching the videos of the murders creeped the living shit out of me, kudos to the sound department in this movie because they really nailed it.
sinister had potential but it fell into the fucking ghost children trope and just went downhill from there
also too many cheap ass jump scares
clearly you've no idea who david fincher is. he gets shit done man.
Yeah. He's a cute attempt at emulation of superior foreign cinema.
Shit like Fight Club and Social Network. We get that shit every year since 1996.
I don't get what you are trying to say but I enjoyed every David Fincher movie so far, they are great. Both in concept and execution.
The Town. 8.5/10
Enjoyed that. Must see for people who love heist movies.
The Prestige
8/10 very clever film but the opening reminds me of Inception in how jarring and unexplained it is. But, also like Inception, it all comes full circle in a clever way.

This is the dumbest post ever
first of all, fincher is foreign cinema to you
second of all i'm from neither yours nor his country and he's an excellent director that is not defined by the fact he's from the us
thirdly it's not like we are unaware of foreign films. i love foreign movies and he does not pale in comparison to the good ones. you're not even making sense
it's not like we are unaware of foreign films.
that's not true, i don't think we'd hold very good discussions of foreign films, i'm a bit noob too.
The Collection(2012) - Piece of shit/10
Iron Man(2008) - 9/10

Of course he's Foreign to me. but i was talking to people for whom, our cinema is foreign and this Fincher dude is native. Everyone knows the US is the "centre of civilization".
"Not even making sense." Yeah.
Am I the only person who actually liked Red Tails? I'd at least give it a 6.5/10.
It was...okay. Very well filmed and the acting was decent, but every single character was a blatant and poorly characterized archetype and I think that really took a lot away from it.
Everyone knows the US is the "centre of civilization".
i'm sorry what?

Cloud Atlas - 10/10
I loved it so much, best movie for 2012 for me. I don't know why, but it just really struck me. I may be biased, having read and loved the book, but I could not stop thinking about this movie and couldn't sleep last night because of it. It's amazing, extremely ambitious really. Completely understand that it's not a movie for everyone, but you at least have to acknowledge the effort and love that was poured into this.
I'm curious if people were touched by this movie as I am? Esp. if they haven't read the book too, I can see why it's confusing and polarizing if you haven't.
[sp]I cried at the end! Frobisher's suicide and Sonmi's death, especially. Sixsmith has the worst of it all, having your lover kill himself and then being murdered brutally by some hitman in your hotel room. Depressing.[/sp]

I've never posted a Racist comment ever on Facepunch. That's insanely bigoted. Thinking religion is retarded =/ Racism. But i don't see how that's relevant here.

Resident Evil Retribution 2012 - 5.9/10
Flying Umbrella Co. Logos at the end, oh god LOL :v:
500 Days Of Summer - ♥/10
Twilight: New Moon - 4/10
First time watching a movie from this series. I can enjoy romantic movies if they aren't so cheap and horribly acted as these.
anyone know a good comedy like horrible bosses? I'm in the mood for a laugh tonight.
just watch any judd apatow film cos they all are brilliant and kind of similar to horrible bosses but better
Breaking Dawn Part 2

Fun rating: 9/10
This is the worst one they've made yet, but it's so fucking bad that it's hilarious. I'm serious, check it out sometime with some friends and some beers.
Well, that's a bit nice to know. Since I'm being forced to see it at the end of this month for my job. I could use a laugh.
I just hope I can get some people to come with me as well.
are you a professional movie critic or
Groundhog Day - 9/10
Second time watching and man, this movie is good. I think the best part about it is Murray's and MacDowell's performances and the chemistry between their characters, with the script being very strong as well. The theme is pretty apparent and the film manages to work with it very well. The film has a very happy ending, but that's not a bad thing. It's definitely a feel good movie that's fun to watch and can be thought provoking at times.
I highly reccomend this film if you haven't seen it.
Smart Cookies - 7.5/10
Some Hallmark movie, one of those really cheesy ones. I checked it out because Bailee Madison starred in it, and she's my favorite actress. The movie in itself wasn't spectacular, but it was pretty heart warming, and had it's fair share of "aw, that's sweet" moments. Madison is a really good actor though, she really made the movie.
I also noticed that in a lot of movies that she plays in, her mother is usually dead.
