def don't put Willis in the same barrel as them. he's way fucking better and way more versatile and respectable.
Also one of the only action stars to make me tear up. "We win, Gracie!" ;_; Nevermind his dramatic excellence in Unbreakable.
When I go to watch Djano is there anything else I need to see in the theatre?
The Intouchables 8/10 such a lovely film : )
I watched Django Unchained the other night, turrriffic film. Laughed my ass off at parts, great acting, good good story and whatnot. 9.5/10. maybe im being too generous....
Just watched Memento. Holy shit / 10.
Coraline, great surprisingly. [sp]And strangely arousing.[/sp]

nothing gets me harder than strained family relations and spiders
nothing gets me harder than strained family relations and spiders
you know that some spider bites can cause erections lasting like 12 hours uhh so yeah about the last movies we watched..
saw Flight. absolutely incredible. Zemeckis kind of lost himself with his animated crap in the last 10 years but now he's delivered something that puts him back to the top. As he did really successfully with Tom Hanks (also Contact, that film is amazing), he gives us a character study like we've never seen. Gut-wrenching from the right off plane sequence it leads into other things and unravels beyond the premise, moving into issues surrounding life (mainly drinking). Even though we're all familiar with the effects alcohol can have, we've never once seen the burden it can have on someone who has done something so heroic to the point where we can forgive and forget all wrongdoing. One movie I'll compare it to would be Leaving Las Vegas, but as obvious as it seems, they're very different films. But buried deep down, you'll get a man whose hurting, but who struggles to be redeemed from the foolishness. Watch Leaving Las Vegas (has Nic Cage, he's great). Anyway, this film has familiar qualities of Zemeckis' previous work, he's not afraid to deviate in tone with the scenes. That's why just like Forrest Gump, we get a mixed bag rather than a straight line of emotions. If it was like that, I'd get dehydrated pretty quickly. (went through 4 bottles when watching "Eureka"). I think when the movie took a humourous view on drug taking rather than the downside, it kind of perked me up. Plus it has the fred flinstone guy from big lebowski playing a junkie, what else is needed? As mainstream flicks stand, this one hits the nail for me. Denzel is just an extraordinary actor to pull this character through... Can't think of any other who could even come close to his portayel. Possibly the performance of his career, may have to consider that one. I'm happy.
When I go to watch Djano is there anything else I need to see in the theatre?
I'm sorry Django*
I'm watching Moonrise Kingdom. What the fuck is going on.
I'm watching Moonrise Kingdom. What the fuck is going on.
yeah.
The long face shots, the weird child sexual frustration, more long face shots. It's really weird.
The long face shots, the weird child sexual frustration, more long face shots. It's really weird.
you're freaking out why? it's not like it's Begotten or some far out flick... I reckon a 10 year old could see that.
Berserk: The Golden Age - Part 1 - 9.5/10 Haven't enjoyed an animated movie like that in a long time. I enjoyed every minute. The only complaint i have is that it was waaay to short at 1 hour 30 minutes.
you're freaking out why? it's not like it's Begotten or some far out flick... I reckon a 10 year old could see that.
I'm not freaking out. It's just a really odd film. But there's something about it that keeps me watching. It's strange.
I still can't get over my friend trying to argue with me that Cid was Joe and Joe fucked his own mom i was like bro are you actually retarded what is wrong with you
Haha, my dad thought the same thing after we watched it. Good film. 8/10
Gremlins Though a few of the known nit picks are kind of valid(like how come they don't multiply from exposure to snow), an all around classic dark comedy and an essential piece of the 80's. Since they sell novelty Christmas Story leg lamps and Charlie Brown's Christmas tree, WHY is there no novelty Gremlin hiding in tree? 9/10

Saving Private Ryan - ;_;/10 All I could ever want out of a war movie, and so much more.
Apocalypse Now (1979) - 9/10. First time seeing the not Redux version. I feel a lot is lost without the [sp]French Plantation scene, the follow up with the Playmates, and even the lack of Willard stealing the colonel's surfboard.[/sp] The descent into Kurtz's world of madness (or clarity) feels far more deliberate and gradual in Redux, whereas in this it was really abrupt. I've watched Redux three times now, (and I hope to watch it many more times), but I don't think I'll ever watch this again.
A Blood Pledge - 7/10 - enjoyable, kind of surprised me with how much it focused on the trio of girls and what really happened that night rather than SO SCARY GIRL WITH LONG HAIR OOGA BOOGY Ju-On 2 - 6/10 - entertaining. Was not nearly as scary as the first one (that is, Ju-On: The Grudge). most of the twists were pretty predictable and the time-skipping-fuckery got confusing after awhile. Ju-On: White Ghost/Black Ghost - 3/10 - shit. Do not see it. Not scary nor interesting nor shocking. Dialogue is laughable, plot twists are predictable. Gets 3 points for the slightly disturbing scene with the uncle and the little girl. The Good, The Bad, & The Weird - 9/10 - astounding. I am genuinely surprised at how well-done the movie is. Filled with humor, likeable characters, and a plot that did not overstay its welcome. Not the deepest movie you'll ever see, but it is worth a view just for the excellent performance that Kang-Ho Song [The Weird] gives. Black Rat - 8/10 - pretty good. I was expecting a mindless slasher 'horror' flick, what I got was a black comedy with a surprisingly intricate backstory that focuses on the relationships between the seven students in question. Some scenes were rediculous but in a humorous way.
Sucker Punch Saw it on a /k/ movie thread and had my curiosity piqued. "Wasn't that the movie with the chick and the mental hospital?" And then the [sp]WW1[/sp] scene happened I give it 17 Zack Snyders out of 10.
so so bad
astro boy - 7/10 fun movie but really dark beginning? would have worked better if [sp]the kid was put into the robot so he could continue to live, rather than just a robot clone[/sp]
so so bad
(if you are referring to Sucker Punch) I'm trying to properly convert my thoughts of the movie into typed language but it isn't working. "It's a Zack Snyder film" is about as much as I can get across.

I liked the music and the visual style, but it seemed like they were trying to be anti-misogynistic by being as misogynistic as they possibly could.
