Sucker Punch was appalling, repulsive, offensive to the human mind, terrible, pain-inducing, and more. [editline]28th December 2012[/editline] I literally got a headache from the dialog.
I liked the music and the visual style, but it seemed like they were trying to be anti-misogynistic by being as misogynistic as they possibly could.
zach snyder is just a dumb idiot who should stick to music videos
i liked watchmen. i think that's a great movie. seen it like three if not four times. and the dawn of the dead remake wasn't bad for what it was. its slo-mo shots very preeeeaatty nice. so I suppose snyder's okay if he got someone else's source material to restrain him. which he didnt in sucker punch, resulting in an abysmally written piece of poop with more slo-mo shots of bullets than the youtube-channel of a 13 y/o who just discovered freddiew and after effects. [editline]28th December 2012[/editline] i'm curious to see how Man of Steel will turn out. not only does he have the superman-lore to stick to, but Nolan is like the producer or something (not that i'm too fond of Nolan's work but w/e)
End of Watch 9/10 Exhilarating stuff
I only liked 300. Watchman had it's moments. Wasn't a big fan of the Dawn of the Dead remake.
I only liked 300. Watchman had it's moments. Wasn't a big fan of the Dawn of the Dead remake.
300 is so easily the worst of those three movies dude. Like... it's so bad.
Nah, it was more enjoyable than Dawn of the Dead for sure. I could see an argument for Watchmen.
at the time 300 was really hyped up, even then I thought it would be a gimmick... then I saw it and it was terrible.
Weird, I found 300 to be mostly entertaining and Dawn of the Dead incredibly boring. The opening sequence and montage were neat but then it was following around a bunch of characters I didn't care about in a mall for an hour and a half.
...I thought Legend of the Guardians was good.
...I thought Legend of the Guardians was good.
"From the studio that brought you 'Happy Feet'" no thanks.
at the time 300 was really hyped up, even then I thought it would be a gimmick... then I saw it and it was terrible.
the trailer was cool. the trailer was a whole lot better than the movie. hence why zach should stick to bite size things
What kind of logic is that? "Catwoman" was made by Warner Brothers, but that doesn't make every Warner Brothers movie bad. You know what they also made? "The Dark Knight", "Casablanca" and "Goodfellas". All of which are some of the best movies I've ever seen.
If the best thing they have to put on a poster is "We made Happy Feet" then I'm not particularly interested. You didn't see The Dark Knight posters plastered with "From the studio that brought you Catwoman...." did you? [editline]28th December 2012[/editline] Looking at wiki they do visual work for a lot of the films that have already been criticized in this thread lol.
And I'm just saying I'm not interested in watching it. Chill yo.
i dont understand how people can just avidly avoid watching something just because it doesn't interest them, not because it offends them or looks painfully bad. i have been watching terrible horror movies for the past few days all of which i knew would probably be bad but i watched them anyway. why is it such a big deal to just watch something. surely your time is not that precious
well uh yeah it kind of is. I have a limited amount of free time and I'd rather watch movies and play games that fall loosely into something I'd enjoy watching or playing.
sucks to be you
"From the studio that brought you 'Happy Feet'" no thanks.
"From the studio that brought you The Love Guru" therefore I DONT WANT TO WATCH INDIANA JONES.
"From the studio that brought you The Love Guru" therefore I DONT WANT TO WATCH INDIANA JONES.
the latest indiana? thats a pretty awful movie dude that makes sense
Spyglass Entertainment didn't even do Indiana Jones though.
you're both asshats
Paranorman (2012): 10/10 It trumps Coraline and is easily my favorite animated film of 2012, surpassing Wreck-it-Ralph.
watchmen was only good because zack snyder didn't write 99% of it and even then he still fucked part of it up by changing a part of it for "MUH REALISM"
now im scared that Man of steel will be a flop
have faith man, it can't be another Superman Returns... just can't.
now im scared that Man of steel will be a flop
if you mean "box office flop" then dont worry buddy people eat snyder's shit up like its candy if you mean "flop in every other use of the term" then yeah its going to suck dick, superman is already hard to make good in any aspect and they're putting an incompetent idiot in charge
According to Wikipedia, Ben Affleck, Darren Aronofsky, Duncan Jones, Jonathan Liebesman, Matt Reeves, and Tony Scott were considered as potential directors, before Zack Snyder was hired in October 2010. At a guess, Zack Synder became director because he had the best combination of two qualities: being `artistic` and being completely subservient to the studio. This is why the ones in bold weren't chosen, despite the fact they are so much more talented than Zack ever has or will be.
have faith man, it can't be another Superman Returns... just can't.
this. my expectations are so low for a good superman film that I will be pleasantly surprised no matter what happens. [editline]28th December 2012[/editline] Actually do you guys remember that scene from Returns with the minigun and the slow-motion bullet? [sp]Man of Steel is going to be that for the last third of the movie[/sp]
Is The Darjeeling Limited any good
The Hobbit with 3D and 48 FPS. What the fuck? 3D got hyped so fucking much in movies. Companies make money like shit. They tell you: "WOW, YOU ARE ABLE TO "GET" INTO THE MOVIE FOR REAAAALLLL!!11" "WOOOW IT COMES OUT OF YOUR SCREEEEN" They continue to make it for so many goddamn shit movies. And then Jackson comes around, shows us the 48 FPS. And what do visitors and reviewer? "IT'S SHIT!" "HOLY SHIT, RIP CINEMA" "MOST AWFUL THING THAT HAPPENED TO MOVIES". And then I watch it. Best fucking movie experience ever. What the fuck is wrong with people. Everything was better. Effects, landscapes, panning was fluent. That's how you "get lost" into a movie. 3D didn't annoy me, I didn't have any headache, and I use glasses. I don't miss the old 24 FPS. I fucking hope 48 gets used much more for the future.
