Resident Evil Retribution: 2/10. Seriously, they are just really shitty now. It's like watching someone play the video game, but shorter and not as good.

I'm gonna keep my mind open when I watch that one, I know the hate it gets from people.
the more you open your mind the more dumb shit you see
How to train your dragon 7/10 I just watched this and some of The Tale of Despereaux and what's with many animated movies casting adults as children these days? Both Despereaux and Hiccup have voices more fit to a 30 year old man when they're both obviously under 20. Worst is Despereaux how at an age of ~12 somehow has gone trough puberty :v:
how to train your dragon is one of my favourite movies and has really great themes in and in my opinion deserves more than a 7/10
Prometheus is weird in that it's so horribly, horribly flawed yet manages to have so much in-depth symbolism I just don't even know what the fuck happened in the development of it
I'm gonna keep my mind open when I watch that one, I know the hate it gets from people.
it's a stunning film, people nitpick at things not worth picking at. People ramble on about "dialogue", then I saw it a second time and I realised people were talking complete garbage. It's not in a whole other place to the original Alien film and from the right off, you'll see that. [editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
Prometheus is weird in that it's so horribly, horribly flawed
it's flawed because it's weird?
how to train your dragon is one of my favourite movies and has really great themes in and in my opinion deserves more than a 7/10
It comes down to personal preference I think. I don't really know why I didn't like it as much as I thought I would, because it's definitely the type of movie I usually enjoy. It just didn't leave me with anything memorable afterwards. Overall I thought it was the usual "an outsider who can never fit into society does something remarkable and earns his place against all odds." though it did that cliche awfully well I might add. But that's just my personal opinion and I understand why some would give it an 8 or 9. I just didn't like it that much.
I really didn't like Prometheus, but it wasn't so much the dialogue and plot holes that bugged me but rather I felt the cinematography was severely lacking, the plot was predictable, the 'zombie' part felt completely unnecessary and every time Vickers talked I wanted to strangle her
Though it's not everything, it does cover a lot of my problems with the movie
the 'zombie' part felt completely unnecessary
studios did add that in for the purpose of having an action scene. There's nothing wrong with it though. [editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
cinematography was severely lacking the plot was predictable
you have no clue what you're on about. [editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
it does cover a lot of my problems
yeah.
21 grams - 8/10 sean penn be lickin dem titties yo

Prometheus has problems with it for sure, but at least it tried. There is a difference between a movie that tries, but ultimately fails at what it tries to do, and a movie that is terribly written and lazy. This isn't the worst thing since the Phantom Menace. They are some great moments in Prometheus also, especially early scenes with David and [sp]the abortion scene[/sp] Also, to me, Prometheus at times feels rushed. There are so many questions and plot points, but few are dwelled upon long enough to be really satisfy the audience. I imagine the editor was told by the studio that it had to be 2 hours max., which is close to impossible to do well. However, since Ridley Scott is the King of the Director's Cut, Prometheus may improve and mature over time. I still have a feeling that it was rushed into development. They quickly had to write a script, design everything and film it for a summer 2012 release, when the script should probably have been drafted a few more times, mulled over a bit longer, and then released in summer 2013/14.
This isn't the worst thing since the Phantom Menace.
holy shit is the star wars trilogy like the fucking godwins law of cinema, stop this shit however i do agree that fassbender was good
terribly written and lazy
elaborate
There are so many questions and plot points
this is one and only opinion i've heard that's viable, still doesn't account for "mass disappointment". It's fairly clear that it's not a standalone flick, rather an "instigator" that will develop.
