to be fair considering 99% of the awful, two dimensional cast was killed off in the first movie that does leave me a tiny bit hopeful for the sequels
two dimensional cast
they weren't a whole lot less complex than the characters in Alien.
not like i ever complimented them it was bad then, it was bad now [editline]a[/editline] the only reason its brought up more often critically for prometheus is because they expected ridley to at least add a dimension or two in 20+ years
The Intouchables 10/10 Seen it twice and cried both time, fucking beautiful movie. It reached my top 1 place as my favourite movie. Goddamnit so fucking beautiful.
I saw Django Unchained last night. 10/10 SERIOUSLY. Maybe I'm a little bias since Tatantino is my favorite director but god damn that movie was spectacular.
Fat Kid Rules the World - 6/10 I was slowly opening up to the movie, and then it suddenly ended. Felt like there was a big scene missing or something..
Boy Wonder - 6/10 Kinda decent movie. A little predictable, and holy hell, that woman can not act. But not too bad.
Other way around, finish reading the sentence
You'll have to excuse him, he can't read [editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
Tatantino
:v:
Rise of the Guardians - 8/10 A very cute, and well done kids movie :) I hope I still like it when I have to see it again this Sunday, lol.
You'll have to excuse him, he can't read
i'm still trying to figure it out, it's not going well. :(
Though it's not everything, it does cover a lot of my problems with the movie
god i hate these honest trailers they are a very poor and stupid man's redlettermedia dissections
Saw Django Unchained high as a kite yesterday- 8.5/10 Some parts of it were hilarious, go see it
shit, i thought it was a unanimous decision that damon lindelof was the problem of prometheus, otherwise the movie is fucking fantastic. also, here's a great double feature to watch: Get Him To The Greek and 21 Jump Street goddamn I haven't laughed this hard in a while (I'd say 21 was the funnier movie but the soundtrack to Greek is brilliant).
its ok, lindelof did it has reached rosebud is the sled levels we don't even have to talk about it anymore we just know
Children of Men 10/10 Favourite dystopian film yet I think
sometimes I wish Ridley Scott would make a do-over Prometheus with a better writer but everything else intact but that will never happen and it saddens me [editline]29th December 2012[/editline] movie seriously had potential to be the best film of the year until the script took a giant smelly rank ass shit all over everything
Hunger Games - 6/10 The whole movie had a strange disconnected flow for me. And the main character wasn't too great.
Con Air - 6/10 Classic 90's action. Would be a 7 out of 10 but fucking How Do I Live is a terrible song.
In The Name of the Father, 7.8/10 Some bits in the middle of the movie felt unnecessary and cheesy, but the ending made up for a lot. Good acting from a lot of people, and a powerful message regarding the trials of innocent Birmingham Six and the Guildford pub bombings that was done by the IRA in the 1970's.
live flesh (1997) Film maker Pedro Almodovar delivers big in this character film. 2 cops call at a house where a neighbour reports a disturbance and the events that follow is the story. Not much point is giving much more away but if you like Pedro's style of film making then this is one of his best. His delivery is nothing special but his films are like a study of human behaviour and the moral questions in extreme circumstances. Javier Bardem is absolutely fantastic and he must have trained very hard to perfect his character's life. Breif appearance from Penelope Cruz was good to see as she works well with Pedro in his other films. Saw a man's knob in it too. Highly recommended. AK'z, you should like this one maybe.
Did anyone honestly enjoy parental guidance? I should safely assume nobody here did because it pretty much only had fart jokes, but it was still a cute movie for something that couldn't make up its mind on what audience it was trying to appeal to. I honestly only saw it because it had my favorite actress in it, not expecting much, but it was pretty okay. Got some cheap laughs out of it and that's it really. 5/10, maybe a 5.5. I don't expect anybody here to really find it enjoyable though.
Prometheus fucking sucked and anyone who says otherwise is just in denial. Much like how those of us who loved The Hobbit are probably in denial about how much it really sucked.(all those critics can't wrong, can they?)
as witty and biting as you were trying to be dont lie that you felt a little better even falsely admitting that the hobbit sucked
if your opinion differs you're in denial you're all denial denied [editline]29th December 2012[/editline] Prometheus had good stuff in it too, the writing just sucked. I thoroughly enjoyed the VFX, sound design, character design and some acting. It was well made overall.

Much like how those of us who loved The Hobbit are probably in denial about how much it really sucked.(all those critics can't wrong, can they?)
It didn't suck. It just wasn't very good. It was passable. But the script was awful and was barely saved by Ridley's directing flare. It just fell apart. But it did not fall into the 'terrible' category. [editline]30th December 2012[/editline] The Hobbit was terrible though
And the Prometheus debate rages on. Personally I loved it because it went into the origins of man and tied it up nicely with the Alien film. Yes it was flawed in places but very few films are perfect. Loved LOTR but I'm passing on the Hobbit for now, I hear they have gone for a lighter feel, much like the first LOTR. The darker elements were the pull for me personally. Anyone seen the old film Excalibur from about 1981'ish? Thats a great fucking watch. Darkness and cheap props but captures something all the same.

Thor 10/10 for sexy man no homo
