Pitch Perfect - 9/10 I went in expecting it to be abysmal, but it was fucking hilarious, Rebel Wilson is great.
he didn't get there in 5 minutes he breaks out of prison with heaps of time left, like, weeks. so, uh. public transport? a plane? a plane and then he probably travelled there though the secret tunnels that factually exist that lead to wayne mansion as stated in batman begins .
lol, the movie doesn't suggest it's in asia though. :v: in fact it doesn't really have a lot to say about it except that it's some sort of "noble challenge for those who attempt to escape". I'd hardly call that sequence a simple "breaking out of prison" scene. That was a feable attempt to gain awe from the viewer.
batman begins ain't batman 3
yeah they are an interrelated trilogy though... the fact is that he is bruce wayne in batman 3 certain things weren't shown happening explicitly but are implied happened. wheras in prometheus, things are shown, but they make no sense. [editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
lol, the movie doesn't suggest it's in asia though. :v:
um what? who said anything about asia? and you can travel from any country to any other country in around oh i dunno a day or so? that gives him a metrick shitload of time to get back to gotham considering banes crusade lasted 3 months iirc and batman did not spend all of it in prison. [editline]30th December 2012[/editline] and it has more to say than the whole of prometheus. which says nothing but just raises questions. at least in batman things have consequences and questions are answered. that scene specifically says you're more likely to make a jump when you don't hold anything back, which is a very fair point. if you're half expecting to not make it you will always precautionary not give it your full gusto in the event it doesn't work out to give yourself leeway. if you literally have no safety precautions, there's no going back so all effort is put into making the jump rather than preparing yourself for not making it. i think that's pretty solid. there is meaning there. [editline]30th December 2012[/editline] your dislike and critique of batman is utterly blind. you just want to disagree with people on it
The Dark Knight Rises (second time watching): Nowhere near as bad as some say, but not as good as others proclaim; Solid 8/10 Django Unchained: 8.75/10 Very enjoyable but honestly Tarantino's a bit too over-the-top for me sometimes The Lorax: 6.5/10 it's okay I guess
in batman 3 certain things weren't shown happening explicitly.
wow you actually admitted a batman 3 flaw, life is good.
wow you actually admitted a batman 3 flaw, life is good.
that's not a flaw. the movie is close to 3 hours. you can't show every tiny detail - nor do you need to. as long as the gaps between unshown details make sense.
your dislike and critique of batman is utterly blind. you just want to disagree with people on it
i don't dislike batman 3 as much as you dislike prometheus.
ur so damn obnoxious akz. [editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
i don't dislike batman 3 as much as you dislike prometheus.
but i don't even dislike prometheus. it's middle of the road for me.
i'd rate batman 3 7/10 You can call that "above middle"-ish.
Cloud Atlas - 7.5/10
Get the Gringo 4/5 Surprisingly great. Mel Gibson was fantastic, the violence was awesome and completely over the top. It was like a Mexican Guy Ritchie film. Should have definitely gotten a wider release. I'd recommend it.
Shutter Island - 9/10 I haven't watched normal TV for months and the first time I do this is one. It's like I was meant to watch it. I should have seen this earlier. I loved the [sp]twist ending[/sp] and everything leading up to it and actually the whole film.
hey guys Prometheus still sucked
You guys suck.
John Carpenter's The Thing I give it a Tau Epsilon
Django Unchained - 9.5/10 Simply amazing. The theater applauded when Tarantino's name came up in the end credits.
But he doesn't hate Prometheus.
because 7/10 means I hate a movie. And where did I say I hated a film?
Speaking of Ridley Scott, I want to watch Blade Runner, but I know there are various cuts of it. Is any better than the others? There is the Original Cut (1982), The Director's Cut (1992) and The Final Cut (2007) for those who can't remember all of them.
The Final Cut is the best version.
Which version(s) have the narration?
The Final Cut is the best version.
No debate over this
Django Unchained - 9.5/10 Simply amazing. The theater applauded when Tarantino's name came up in the end credits.
Heh, Inglourious Basterds got applauds at the end of the movie in the theater i was in too
people think it's tacky to clap at a cinema, but i think it's nice. :)
I only ever clap at a movie if I am with friends and I had a fucking blast watching it examples: the dark knight, django, inglourious basterds
Drive - 9/10 Fuck, that was intense.
I clap when I think I'm Orson Welles
Little children 2006 I've yet to see a film where Kate Winslet doesn't fuck and show her tits off. The film is about taking stock and not becoming a prisoner to our worthless existances but making sure we still have moments where we feel alive. I guess its about a few things but its over 2 hours of slow dialog and character building. Personally I loved it and the performance of the actor who played the pedo was legendary, he was so creepy and believable, the scene of the date was just inspired. For the most part, the film peers into the psyche and presents 2 characters who are just living an existance. What must a person do to start living again? Turn on those you love and betray everything? Do something wild every week, or is it all an illusion? We have to make our own minds up about that but this film is food for thought. Highly recommended for anyone wanting something to melt into and get lost in.
The Karate Kid if Daniel san simply called the police, those imbeciles would be in jail for attempted murder and it would have solved his problem much quicker.

Intouchables - 9/10
