Life is beautiful 10/10 Just that fucking good.
Gangster squad - 5.5/10 Lack of character development, the writing wasn't great and the story was really flat and vanilla. Really enjoyed the 1950s settings though. I enjoyed the acting of a select few characters though.

The innkeepers 3/10. The movie is filled with unnecessarily dragged out buildups to underwhelming payoffs, plus some jump scares. Just like the entire movie. It builds up, some running happens [sp]the main character dies[/sp] and the end, roll the credits. There is only one good, very short scene during the running that's actually creepy/scary.
Gangster squad 7/10
Why is The Hobbit considered such a joke by the critics? I know that it had it's problems, but was it seriously all that bad? I really enjoyed it.
its pretty much movie comfort food as in mostly unremarkable
Bad Ass: Loosely based on the 'I Am A Motherfucker' badass on the bus who beat that dude up a few years back, it's a film with Danny Trejo starring as the old man, who must find the killer of his best friend. It wasn't as action packed as I was hoping, but was an entertaining flick. Lots of fist fights and a bit of good gore, one scene in particular. Not the best flick Trejo has starred in, but a solid 2.5/5 The Raid: Redemption: Awesome story, awesome fight scenes, awesome violence and some intense moments. (I'm timed here, can't write much). Great movie, one of my favourites I've seen as of late. 4/5 Chronicle: Exciting and interesting to anybody who has ever wanted superpowers, it was entertaining for the most part, but a one time watch. There wasn't too much going on to make me want to watch it a second time. 3/5
Evangelion 3.0 [sp]8.5, /a/ thought it was disappointing, but I disagree.[/sp]

finished second season of Wire... this just gets better, I expected it to either start a whole new direction and leave everything behind, but this just carries on expanding.. Still haven't heard "shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" yet so I'm guessing it gets better. [editline]11th January 2013[/editline]
7 Psychopaths 8/10 and surprisingly enough the German synchro didn't fuck up too bad. The plot about a writer who writes the movie reminds me of "Adaption"
was it better than In Bruges?
ParaNorman 8/10
Gangster Squad 6/10 - enjoyable but it never got really good, kinda just plateu'd in the first few scenes
Lincoln 9/10 - Just a really, really good movie, it's been accused of oscar baiting but fuck that, it deserves oscars
Life of Pi 8/10 amazing visuals, but I felt like the CGI of some of the animals felt a bit off. did anyone else get a bit weirded out by the tiger? idk it doesnt even feel uncanny or something its just plain weird. especially the whiskers!! it was really off-putting.. some parts felt a bit slow for me too, like when he was [sp]talking about the 'second' story, the one with the human[/sp]. That part in the book was much more resounding and powerful, i think. still a pretty solid movie though. also for some reason in the middle of it during the fly-fishing scene the whole screen went 3D, did anyone else experience this?
8/10 Seven Psychopaths I agree with the people who said that it's a whole lot different than In Bruges, except for maybe some of the humor elements, but I still enjoyed it a lot.
the TV show thread is burried somewhere so I'll ask here. is Lost worth getting into? I've heard mixed opinions. I've seen the pilot. Doesn't seem bad, but I can't really say much for now. So it it good or not?

Life of Pi - 4/10
because everything about it is terrible
Rusty100, Ladies and Gentlemen.
Total Recall remake 2/5
Watching Resident Evil Retribution right now, i'm half way through and it's so bad i'm not even going to bother finishing it, -4/10 Didn't even pause it to go take a shit
Probably gonna get soo much hate for this but i just finished watching Apocalypse now: Redux and completely hated it! It felt extremly "jumpy" in the presentation, slow and just.. completely uninteresting. I can see where it wanted to go with the madness in Vietnam and such but nothing of it got to me. Atleast the acting was superb... 3/10
sorry for rating but have too much care for that film. you gotta at least like Deer Hunter though?
Yes, ofcourse! I can absolutely see how someone could like and/or love this movie, but it just wasn't something for me, which is kind of sad since I've only heard praises for it but i guess i was expecting something else. Probably will rewatch it sometime though.
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist - 11/5 It was alright.

[editline]11th January 2013[/editline] was it better than In Bruges?
not even close Seven Psychopaths, maybe a 6/10. I just thought it was insanely disappointing. It wasn't as charming, smart, funny, or coherent as In Bruges was. Narratively it was kind of dumb, too. Colin Farrell's character was writing a movie called Seven Psychopaths which was just a really dumb and bad movie - and that was reflected hugely in the actual movie we were watching since they constantly intertwine. A lot of bad ideas, cliches, and super corny stuff. The movie's saving grace was some funny scenes but even they were underwhelming. I liked the movie, but it was sooooo disappointing. It was just so average, only borderlining on good. I saw The Man Who Would be King. I liked Cain and Connery. 8.8/10
