Also, going to see Aliens tomorrow in class (my class was holding off watching it just for me [sick due to appendicitis]), not my first time seeing it by any means (prob my favorite movie), but I haven't seen it in a considerable amount of time, especially not with focus. maybe i'm a little biased because people always pride this on its ending/twist but I saw it coming a mile away, I was hoping that [sp]Morgan was actually the bad guy who was making Pitt pay for his hubris and overall early dickery and basically giving a middle finger to society around him but nah he was good, and I also thought Pitt might mistakenly shoot Morgan when Kevin was talking about the pregnancy because he might've mistakenly assumed Morgan was sleeping with her but NAH[/sp]

The movie is really great, it sure is entertaining. I really liked the setting, the costumes and vehicles were greatly desgined, although a bit bizarre and fairly weird. But it's the charm of the whole movie. The action scenes were pretty tense, especially towards the end. The characters were also quite unique, like the guy with the helicopter, the mechanic in the crane or the general. The plot was simple but yet well told. There are also some pretty cool details when you look at Max's car or in the case of the main villain.
The only thing that I disliked was the main villain, he was bland and his voice not fitting. Furthermore some of the acting was a bit odd at times. Also if the people that lived in the compound were so noble and with dignity, why do they have a child that acts like an ape? It did not fit, although that is only a small nitpick.
