The last harry potter movie - 6/10
Thought this was the worst one. The pacing was absolutely horrible and there was no sense of war, more a light scuffle. They also handled the death of characters very passively.
Tai Chi Zero 2/5
The story was terrible and the Kung Fu scenes weren't good enough to justify it.
While watching it my mother called and made me jelly by telling me she had just watched Django. She enjoyed it but thought there were too many buckets of blood. Now it feels like everyone have seen it except me...
Dredd 6/10
An otherwise good film ruined by really, really bad CGI which I just couldn't get over.
Somebody get this hothead out of here!

Cloud Atlas - 9/10
My word...
Just finished watching all of the TV series Oz. It was really good, up there with Breaking Bad and The Wire. I just wish it had a more conclusive ending. I hate when they leave it open and hint there is going to be another season but it never comes.
Overall I would rate it about eight out of ten.

I was really disappointed with how they handled Voldemort's death. There was nobody there to see it, there was no tension, and when he was gone...there was no resolution. It was just "Oh, I guess we're all okay." -end movie-
I know they were going for a darker tone and all that but of all the things that they should have gone point-for-point with the book on, it was that. There needed to be all the onlookers, there needed to be Voldemort hitting the table, dead, and there needed to be that GIGANTIC release of celebration to offset the darkness and leave the viewers feeling satisfied.

i'd still put half blood prince as the worst hp film, but dh2 would be right behind it.
Brave - 6/10
perfectly alright but not up to pixar's usual standard imo
so we're all in agreement that movie 43 is going to be fucking terrible, right?

I think after watching the last twilight film, i had more of an appreciation of the last hp. At least there was some grandiose battle even if it was on screen for 10 seconds in hp, unlike twilight where there were like 40 people running around a field it was bizarre. The character deaths I agree on tho, they spent barely any time on the weasley death which was disapointing (and you barely know it's happened by the way it's edited) and others. But I did enjoy it a lot, they are way better actors compared to when it started out and it's the only one I've actively gone back and watched again.
I'd give it like an 8/10, the series built up to something fairly important and it paid off in my opinion.
Pineapple Express- 7/10
That movie (along with The Green Hornet) is a guilty pleasure of mine. I know it's really stupid, but it's pretty darn funny.
I think Seth Rogan sets a record for how many lines that have been screamed by a character in a movie
That record is held by Shia "NONONONONONONONONO" LaBeouf for his role as Sam "OPTIMUUUUUUSS" Witwicky

I'm actually gonna go see it
Got around to watching Gosford Park.
8.8/10

Know thy enemy.
Jackie Brown - 9/10
such fresh characters, really entertaining
Know thy enemy.
hahahaha
if you really want to "know thy enemy," read the books. trust me, the ones that obsess over the books are way worse than the ones that obsess over the films.

Oh god yeah that movie put me to sleep, forgot about.
i liked half blood, it's not "action-packed" but it was very atmospheric.
order of phoenix was ass, so damn poor and empty. good if you like flying saucers and flashing lights though.
Order of the Phoenix was almost my favorite one of the bunch. It's up there with the third one.
I like all of them, but I think Goblet of Fire was my least favorite.
All I remember about Goblet of Fire is creepy mermaids and Robert Pattinson dying. I thought it was good, the first properly dark one, but it's been a long time. I'll probably re watch it at some point.
[editline]24th January 2013[/editline]
I also skimmed through Order of the Phoenix yesterday and fuck all happened in it to progress the story.
The Master - 9/10
please give Joaquin Phoenix an oscar
I think all of the Harry Potter movies were gimmicky.
none are very goof
just started watchin shame again probably the best film of the 2000's
yes 2011 is in the 2000s
21st century then??
ok.
i saw Man Push Cart
man pushes cart, feels sad then i feel sad.
good film. :'-(
also there's a kitten.
Hostel: Part III - 4/10
It gets points for trying; it was much more professional looking than I thought it was going to be and they seem to have genuinely tried to be original, but it was just bad. All in all, it's the best movie called 'Hostel: Part III' that I have ever seen.

What exactly was so good about Shame? I watched it and I can't say I enjoyed it at all.
beautifully shot, interesting theme, brandon is a fantastic and deep character, fassbender puts out one of the best performances in recent years. overall a brilliant film.
