beautifully shot, interesting theme, brandon is a fantastic and deep character, fassbender puts out one of the best performances in recent years. overall a brilliant film.
He didn't come across as deep to me. He just seemed like a grumpy sex addict. The performance didn't really stand out to me either, it wasn't bad by any means but it didn't strike me as anything to write home about.
depends what you'd say is a deep character. got any in mind?
Lindsey Brigman.
Lindsey Brigman.
oh my no. was asking squid personally if there's no trouble.
I watched Death Race, a lot of it was really dumb, but the "races" were pretty cool. The part where that big ass truck crashes into a thing and fucking falls apart and dudes fly out of it everywhere was pretty cool.

Anyone knows some horror movies that got released last year or this year?
Just watched The Grey for the first time, that ending man, that fucking ending. 10/10 in my books, soundtrack was beautiful too.
Wait for the Evil Dead remake.
evil dead series is a good movie, remake looks awesome but it's not really scary
since when was evil dead scary?
evil dead series is a good movie, remake looks awesome but it's not really scary
yet another nimrod thinking a trailer replicates the experience of a film. the world would be a better place without trailers.
yet another nimrod thinking a trailer replicates the experience of a film. the world would be a better place without trailers.
Or the problem is the person, not the trailer.
Since I don't watch movies often I figure I might just put my 3 most recent. Skyfall - 10/10. None more need be said since it's been said a million times. Bourne Legacy - 6/10. Uh, the action was nice, but it didn't look all that different from any other movie like it. Been a long time since I saw the previous Bourne movie, and I really lost track of where the story was going. Also, the ending felt like an ass-pull cliffhanger. Underworld - 8/10. Decent film at least, don't see how it got so much hate. Wouldn't exactly call it as something that stands out too much from the crowd, but it didn't seem nearly as bad as some made it out to be, sans a few moments that were a bit too cheesy, namely towards the ending.
The Karate Kid (2010) - 5.8/10 It was somewhat enjoyable.
Or the problem is the person, not the trailer.
they spoil things for everyone. misleading and inaccurate 99% of the time.
Oh, and I almost forgot, saw it on TV last week. Die Hard - 9.99/10. Much more believable action hero than most that sharply pulls away from the typical Action Hero Mary Sue like Rambo, Neo, or Alice in the RE movies. I think the fact that plenty of it's quotes are popular to this day say enough about it's writing. Start felt a little bit slow, but the actual length once it gets in swing completely makes up for it by all means.
since when was evil dead scary?
but i want scary shit bro! i want to shit my pants!
watch the descent. one of the scariest films in a long time and its quite original. very well acted with great special effects and gore, shot actually very well, keeps it very claustrophobic (they're stuck in a cave system with no light full of creatures adapted to see in very low light)
The Silence of the Lambs - 9/10 Lecter is an intoxicating character.
Django Unchained 8/10
Drive (2011); 10/10. Damn. This film actually had me in shock throughout. [sp]The violence in the later scenes, such as Christina Hendricks' character getting her head blown to smithereens with a shotgun point blank in such detail I did not expect. The brutality was fantastic, yet quick. Quick in the sense that most all deaths were dealt within a split second. Not drawn out and overly dramatic like many other films do when a character is killed. But the deaths weren't the only thing within the film. Definitely not. At first, I thought that the driver and Irene were going to have a nice relationship going on and even though she turned him down for her husband's release from jail, I still hoped that the driver would have a good bonding with her family. I knew when Irene's husband was killed and the look on Ryan Goslings' face (the Driver), that it all went to hell. And from there on out it kept on getting worse. My final note to prevent this mini-review, I suppose from growing on too long was the final confrontation between Bernie and the driver. Whilst the deal was being struck at the restaurant, they both knew what was going to happen, just by the looks on their faces. And the very final scene with Irene checking the driver's apartment to see if he was there saddened me but I knew that they could both have a fresh start. One final note, I love how I can associate and like the main character so much when he doesn't even have a real name mentioned throughout the entirety of the film, that being "the Driver".[/sp] This film is slow-paced, but the payoff is definitely worth it. I enjoyed [sp]the relationship between the driver and Irene before the deal happened[/sp] and [sp]it even had me hooked from there.[/sp] This film is no short of fantastic, if not a masterpiece and I heartily recommend it if you want something different.
Dante's Peak: 7/10 I know this movie throws science right out the window and some of the acting is mediocre at best, but this movie is a total guilty pleasure for me.
Premium Rush 6.7/10 A bit too cheesy for my taste, otherwise a fun movie.
saw this movie, i already h8 joseph gordon levit because hes a huge phaggot but the movie had such a bad story, lame cast but the cinematography made up for everything, u guys should consider watching it.

I'd love a horror movie that's 100% about spelunkers getting trapped in a cave system without any stupid monsters.
Saw Moonrise Kingdom a few days ago and jesus fuck it was pretty incredible. [editline]25th January 2013[/editline] 9.999.../10

Jackie Brown - 8.5/10 Why is this movie underrated so much? It may not be Tarantino's best but it is awesome nonetheless. I really enjoyed it and the soundtrack was great too as always.
Because most people excepted it to be Pulp Fiction 2, and what they got was a normal movie. at least compared to his other work.
