And of course it kicks in during major fight scenes. [editline]27th January 2013[/editline] There were also minigun revolvers.
The Wood (1999) - 8/10.
While dealing with a friend's cold feet on his wedding day, a writer reminisces about his youth with his best friends.
Seen it once years ago, still as good as I remember. Speed (1994) - 10/10. I can never get tired of this movie (but I can get tired of Sandra Bullock's voice which is like a knife in my ears.)
Cube (1997) 7/10 Premise and story is nice (I like how they didn't explain too much of what was going on, etc) but the actors were rubbish. The best part was [sp]when they didn't speak at all, during the silent blue room. That shit was tense.[/sp]
Cube is trippy as fuck. [editline]27th January 2013[/editline] Cube 2 is pretty good but Zero can go fuck itself.
I thought Cube 2 was the worst.
I thought Cube 2 was the worst.
It's been ages since I saw it so maybe it is. [editline]27th January 2013[/editline] I remember the ending being dumb as fuck.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit 10/10 no matter how many times I see this movie I love it everytime, its just fuckin GOOD I should make a "movies you never get tired of" thread
City of Life and Death 9/10 It was nice to watch a WWII historical drama that didn't predominately involve America or Germany. This movie had a lot of heart and emotion in it. The acting was excellent, the music was great, and the source material (while very touchy for some people) made me reflect on how conflicts have (and haven't) changed over the years. Definitely give it a watch.

Seven Psychopaths 9/10 loved it. One of my favorite scenes ]
tom waits is fucking boss
The Collection 5/10 The first one atleast had some sort of suspense in it. This one was just shit.
Well just finished watching the teatrical version of Apocalypse Now for the 50th time and it just blows me away every time. Doing the reading on it reveals some interesting stuff. This for example> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocalypse_Now#Extended_bootleg_version Thats been kicking around for some time and from what I hear its rather shitty but has some interesting rough scenes and stuff not in the making of docu thats another fantastic watch.
the documentary on that film is haunting.. I never imagined how physically and mentally painful it was to make it. It was by no means a perfect project and it was on the brink of collapse too. Yet the film still manages to be a magnificent authentic experience. I doubt these days that crews would endure what people did here. Martin Sheen really lost himself, pretty much the entire crew did. [editline]28th January 2013[/editline] The extras are also worth seeing, really cool to see inner workings of those kind of films.
Drive 8.5/10 Just got around to watching it, I was very pleased.
Kung Fu Hustle - 8/10 Just as good as it was before. I'm pleased. Hope that they will show Shaolin Soccer soon :v:
That's about right. And of course it kicks in during major fight scenes
Oh god, it's like Far Cry 2 the movie. Also, Django Unchained. 9/10 Up until it got to some of the darker bits, I was literally smiling from the very first second.
Adaptation 86/100
Adaptation 86/100
why not 87? :v: Anyways i watched Robot & Frank, it's an 8/10 from me, really awesome!
why not 87? :v:
dunno felt right to me :) [editline]28th January 2013[/editline] just realized Kaufman wrote Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as well (and also Synecdoche, New York), fucking hell yes. [editline]28th January 2013[/editline] after reading some more on adaptation, that shit is 88/100 [editline]28th January 2013[/editline] forgot to rate Treme Treme Season 1 91/100 Treme Season 2 86/100
Movie 43: -8/10 I'll never forgive my friend for taking me.
i really want to see that, i have a feeling it will be worse than freddy got fingered. gonna be gooood. :)
I laughed more during Schindler's List.
so anyone seen The Last Stand? I'm going to see it tonight, since I'm a huge Schwarzenegger fan. I'm not expecting much, just some entertainment.
I really can't stress how bad it is. Ebert called it 'the "Citizen Kane" of bad movies.' The first sketch is Kevin Costner and Kate winslett on a date, except he inexplicably has testicles on his chin. Oh my god, the king of comedy has arrived. He then proceeded to tea bag everything he could find. Cups of coffee, potted plant, eventually Kate winslett's open mouth. End scene. THAT WAS THE OPENING. It was beyond terrible. It's like someone took one of those stupid gimmick movies like Vampires Suck or Meet the Spartans and tried to mash it with a movie with a ton of stars, like New Years Eve or whatever.
What Terry Gilliam films should I see?
Beverly Hills Cop 2 7.5/10 Better than the first under almost every aspect. It's fun, intrigueing and the whole 80s vibe gives it a nice feel. The plot is sort of dumb and basic, but it's almost just an excuse to make funny shit happen during the movie, so it's doesn't matter that much.
