new evil deads gonna own zero cgi, all practical effects which is great
Its not zero cgi but the vast majority of effects will be practical
the director (or raimi i cant remember) said there was no cgi There'll be stuff in post to touch it up but all the stuff's really happening
Well I just finished Evil Dead II. The beginning had me confused at first, but I looked it up, and it's supposedly a recap of the first Evil Dead. The director couldn't use footage from the first one, so they re-did the important parts. I love how it picked up pretty much exactly where Evil Dead had left off after the re-cap though. It had some great scenes and special effects. I especially liked the scene where [sp]Ash fights and cuts off his own hand, and the part where blood shoots from the walls. Awesome.[/sp]. The scene at the end where [sp]the trees come alive and attack the cabin was pretty cool too.[/sp] I kind of feel like I could've skipped the first film though, since everything you really need to know is told in the first 10 minutes or so of Evil Dead II. I also think that if I had watched ED2 first, and then the first Evil Dead, I would've appreciated the first one less. I'm a sucker for practical effects and stop motion though, so I'm glad I didn't. [sp]That scene towards the end of the first Evil Dead where the zombies'(?) faces melt or something was awesome[/sp]. I give it a 7.6/10 P.S. People on IMDB get really butthurt over whether it's a sequel to- or a remake of Evil Dead 1.
u lose
Iron sky 1/10. I watched it 4 days ago and i've been ill ever since. I blamed it on this film.
Why you gotta be so harsh on it? The film was made as a joke and you should've treated it as such. I thought that for what it was it was pretty good, funny at times, and filled up an hour and a half of my time quite well.
u lose
What exactly? Thanks for your opinion.
Predator - 8.6/10 perfectly portrayed the whole hunting-the-hunter idea without going TOO over the top imo Airplane - 8.5/10 next time someone asks me if i know a good comedy, im just gonna answer with "any movie with leslie nielson in it"
I watched Drive last night mainly due to my friend recommending it to me and me not having anything to do. I have no idea how I overlookde this film. It's actually really good.
Cant wait for Only God Forgives Same director, same lead
Man, I really want to see Skyfall. Everyone around here hated it, so it must be good. That was another movie that said was "boring". Unfortunately I know about the scene where [sp] M dies [/sp], but I'm still looking forward to seeing it as soon as I can. Especially with Sam Mendes in the director's chair.
It was the first(and only) bond film I've seen I thought it was pretty good.
It was the first(and only) bond film I've seen I thought it was pretty good.
Have you never had a tv or something?
skyfalls decent
skyfall's pretty good. like, one of the top five bond flicks.
literally no bond film is worth watching twice
dude, no. goldfinger. goldeneye. i'll deffo watch skyfall again.
Skyfall - 8/10 I enjoyed it. Dragged on a -little- bit, but most of it was a really great watch.
Best part visually in Skyfall is the [sp]almost cyberpunkest-chinese building he went in to kill that one guy with the casino chip.[/sp]

Watched "The Perks Of Being A Wallflower" and I didn't like it. 4/10 I read in some critique "Oh to be 20 and in highschool again" and that hits it. Everything is just too perfect, their looks, their stupid problems(save the big one revealed at the end), their rich-suburb-kids-parties and all together all of the stereotypes and bullshit tropes. Juno really shines through here and I think that's all I need to say.

Might put that one on the list for the 'really bored night' which is never.

The story was pretty generic I can't lie but it was my surprise hit of 2012. Loved it personally.
Maybe I am just too old for this highschool problems shit.
Drive - 9/10 I only have one problem which is the ending, so spoilers [sp]Why does he leave at the end? The two mob-bosses that were chasing him down are dead now, nobody will come after him.[/sp] [editline]29th January 2013[/editline] oh wait duh [sp]after crushing that dudes head in Irene probably won't look at him the same way[/sp]
Also because leaving at the end of a movie is totally cool and mysterious.
The Road to El Dorado - 3.3333/10 The animation's pretty good and the voice acting is decent. The first half of the film is very directionless and all in all, this movie is just really flat. The music was also dull as fuck.
"In The Heat Of The Night" 8/10 reminded me HEAVILY of "Mississippi Burning"
Looper - 9/10 So unpredictable, and the perfect story line. Perfect.
I'd say "In the Heat of the night" is one of that must watch movies, don't let that 8 deceive you.
Lost Highway This movie gave me major goosebumbs and some good scares. It's just an intense and atmospheric movie, it's quite an experience. I was on the edge of falling of my chair throughout the whole movie. It was intriguing and amazing at the same time, although I don't have a bloody idea of what to think of the actual plot. The concept of love and cheating seems to be the major point of it, also something about body swaping. Revenge seems to be a focus aswell. I think I need to rewatch that movie again, it's just a really cryptic movie. The acting was incredible, damn that was so good. Also the music and soundtrack is amazing aswell. The camerawork is absolutely topnotch, the sex scences were so well shot, like nothing that I have ever seen before. The music fit so well. But boy I am confused now.

Probably. Watch his eyes.[/sp]
Finished watching Big Lebowski a while ago. I have absolutely no idea what I just watched. Was it a Film Noir parody? A stoner comedy? A thriller not played straight? Loved it though, the plot just had so many twists and turns, and the faux-noir monologue narration by that cowboy guy was great. Also, the music was great. Overall, uh, I dunno, a 9/10, but that's just, like, you know, my opinion, man.
I think the Germans came a bit short but that's my Germanic roots coming through now excuse me I have some Sado-Masochistic oak worshiping to do.
