I watched the first 3 episodes of Twin Peak, it's really interesting and the characters are amazing. Like Agent Cooper, he's such a suave gentlemen. Altough I don't know how all of this will end.
Dredd - 8.5/10
Jarhead - 8/10 Well shit, now I'm suddenly re-interested in the PGW.
Jarhead - 8/10 Well shit, now I'm suddenly re-interested in the PGW.
For me the whole idea of Jarhead ([sp]going through war without even once having shot someone or even fired your gun[/sp]) is more interesting than any other war movie
saw Martha Marcy May Marlene, fuck.. that's a brilliant film. Reminiscent of Von Trier's theme of depression, however here we're dealing with a more surreal effect of trauma, one that we're not a whole lot familiar with. She's clearly heavily affected by the outlandish cult that took over her entire pattern of what it is to be human. Still need time to let it sink in, but it's such a compatible flick for me that I really don't need to say much else. Not for everyone, it's no linear plot or actual generic structuring, rather just a flow of events and experiences. Not exactly a surreal film, because its aesthetic is very contemporary, but it's just what the film revolves around being the hard to take in factor here. It doesn't have the strength as Von Trier's Dancer or Breaking films had, but a real worthy movie that got buried somehow.
North By Northwest. 8/10 Way ahead of its time in how it was shot. --------------------- Primer 9/10 Very intelligent plot, dealing with causality and how chaotic time travel would quickly get. Also I like how they portray engineers so well.

Private Parts 7/10
Private Parts 7/10
Allow me to expand comrade, I saw this only 2 days ago. Hilarious story of the rise of shock jock Howard Stern played by the man himself. Stern has never acted before but shines like an experienced comedy actor in this exaggerated biopic. The whole premise is Stern vs the broadcasting establishment and his eventual victory as he climbs up the ratings and gets jobs at bigger networks. Pushing the moral limits on radio with gags about shooting kids and sexual innuendo get him into trouble and win him an army of haters and fans who follow him with equal measure. The stand out performance has to be from Paul Giamatti as 'pig vomit' who is his controller given the task to kick him into touch and run him off the network at NBC. The script for his character is inspired and the scenes are some of the funniest put to film. Self worship, which Stern endulges in the bucketload here rarely works but the geeky, unlikely #1 disc jockey delivers a film which both entertains and inspires. If Fartman can become the number one most listened to man in America, theres hope for us all. I recommend this film very highly, extremely funny.
I Love You Phillip Morris - 8/10 I literally thought this movie was gonna be about cigarettes. Pretty damn good, entertaining, and great dramatics. The twists/irony kind of get repetitive by the end, albeit they're funny and amusing. I enjoyed it and I recommend it.
Re-watched Inception. It's one of the greatest of all-time. Incredibly well done. 10/10
Street Kings (2010) Well theres a couple hours of my life I'll never get back. Whats worse is theres a half decent film in there trying to get out. This felt like a poor man's Training Day but the delivery stopped it becoming good. The music was tacky, it felt like an extended episode of crappy CSI and the ariel city shots just added to the TV feel of the movie. Keanu Reeves gave a below par performance, even by his standards. Forest Whit just about pulled it back into positive territory but not quite. Fuck Hugh Laurie's fake yankee accent and fuck this film. I don't recommend this crap.
Warm Bodies: 7/10 I'm almost certain this is supposed to be psuedo-romance but my friends (who are huge zombie nerds) decided it was a good idea to go see this anyway. The humor was far from bad, but the end was pretty ridiculous. Over all, not a bad movie.

It's really terrible [editline]2nd February 2013[/editline] And it makes no sense, the writer wrote Training Day and End Of Watch too what was this nonsense he wrote in 2010

End of watch is on my watchlist as the feedback is quite good, lets hope Street Kings was a step to better things.
Flight, with Denzel Washington 9/10 [sp]shame about the ending :([/sp] definitely recommend it
I liked the ending tbh... people are indifferent about most endings these days.
Rango 10/10
Rango 10/10
It had a few nice moments, but I don't really agree on a 10/10. maybe a 6 or 7.
Django Unchained - 9/10
Rango was awesome dunno what the fuck y'all talkin about The rattlesnake jake monologue was some powerful shit
Flight 3/5 While performances was great I thought the script was unimaginative.
I loved the film and the story. solid 8/10 imo.
Prometheus 9/10
Django Unchained Can't really think what to rate it but HOLY SHIT that was badass
Warm Bodies: 8.5/10
just saw Wreck It Ralph. I guess kid movies just tug at the part of me that loved Toy Story so much when I was a kid, and combine that with pandering towards gamers a tad and holy shit no wonder I loved the movie. A bit short, but oh well, still fantastic. 9/10
Gangster Squad: 8/10 Just saw this tonight in theaters with a few of my friends. Really was a great movie and I'd highly recommend it to anyone. The atmosphere is very convincing, the dialogue is good, there's funny bits here and there and the action is exciting but not over the top. Admittedly, it had some flaws but it was a great watch for 10 bucks and two hours of my time with some friends. Also Sean Penn being cast as Mickey Cohen was a joke.
Avengers XXX Porn Parody 10/10 fantastic acting. [editline]3rd February 2013[/editline] The super dramatic music while Hawkeye was pounding Black Widow in the ass was classic.

looper A very strong 4 Bruces out of 5
