Drive - 8/10 Depressing as fuck. I expected a better ending, story wise.
Groundhog Day 1000/10 Will watch again
Yeah, it's like living in a world where everyone but you enjoys 2001: A Space Yawnyssey.
You're like AKz and his hate of Dark Knight Rises.
picking the worst tarantino film is like asking me which one of my beautiful children i despise the most I just can't
Nah it's easy, it's Death Proof.
wrong
You're like AKz and his hate of Dark Knight Rises.
everyone has some sort of controversial opinion.
It's not hate by the way, it's just that people don't like people who don't like the same things. [editline]8th February 2013[/editline]
Junker says he wasn't blown away by Django and a good friend of mine said the same and he levelled the same crit at it that the dialog and suspense wasn't as tense or sharp. I personally felt it was a lighter Tarantino film despite the violence and just showed a slightly different style to some of his other films. Maybe this film needs a good year to see if it stands the time test. We could meet at the town hall with burning torches and go on a witch hunt, I say we burn them both at the stake for witchcraft.
I just hope he steps away from Whacky Waltz. It's brilliant in IB and funny (yet not necessary for the story) the second time but I don't think I would enjoy a third time especially after seeing him play some more dramatic roles.
Are you serious? Waltz was fucking fantastic in Inglourious Basterds and Django, I want more of that man!
I just hope he steps away from Whacky Waltz.
he's a great actor, watch Carnage.
carnage is fucking great. hilarious movie
Life is Beautiful 10/10
Life is Beautiful 10/10
i have this, must see it.
Are you serious? Waltz was fucking fantastic in Inglourious Basterds and Django, I want more of that man!
It starts to get gimmicky.
It starts to get gimmicky.
what after 2 films? haven't seen Django but I highly doubt his role in there is the exact same performance as Inglourious.
It pretty much is in relation to mimics, gestures and speech. I'm not tired of him but rather of this way of acting. It reminds of how Johnny Depp went full "magnificent" after Pirates of The Carribean but when you watch Secret Window or his other older stuff you realize that he wasn't that way before. And I just hope Waltz doesn't go that way.
Fear and Loathing was very Johnny Depp before Depp became himself. Also that guy has been around for a WHILE. Waltz is a charasmatic, eccentric actor, it's his strength tbh. With time and good roles with different directors we'll see different things. Two films by the same director isn't much to go on in terms of his entire career.
It's not the actor as I said. It's a repetition of goofyness. People loved that shit in IB and so he got the role written for him in DU. That's fine and I enjoyed it. I'm not saying it will be annoying, I'm saying it COULD get annoying. Especially as these are pretty much his breakthrough on mainstream movies. I love him as an actor. [editline]8th February 2013[/editline] Also to get back on topic: Ashes Of Time 7/10 It's a really weird movie, almost author-cinema. Very stylized, very complicated in cut and script but I enjoyed it but I think I'll have to rewatch it. I love the slowness in some Asian movies.
You're like AKz and his hate of Dark Knight Rises.
Thanks, I was going for that. edit: I love you AK'z, you're a good sport.
Gamer 2/10 Why did I watch this? I was cringing through about 90% of the movie
Wreck-it Ralph - 11/10 it's okay
Comrade, I'm not being funny with you here but you just got a pile of heat from some of the guys here for posting spoilers and you just did it again by giving away the end of the film. I can only assume you are doing this deliberately as a troll. Either you're a troll or stupid?
It seems like I am stupid then. I always posted here since months and nobody had a problem with it, why now?
Because you have a negative opinion about a movie everyone circlejerks over.
Because you have a negative opinion about a movie everyone circlejerks over.
when you read posts, please process what is written
posting spoilers and you just did it again by giving away the end of the film
Argo - atleast 9/10 Definitely the best movie I've seen for a good, good while.
I thought it was a bit too indifferent. Especially in portraying everyone non-western.
Argo - atleast 9/10 Definitely the best movie I've seen for a good, good while.
Such an intense movie. Argo Fuck Yourself. [editline]8th February 2013[/editline] Also I finally got around to watching Jackie Brown last night. 9/10 it was decent.
It seems like I am stupid then. I always posted here since months and nobody had a problem with it, why now?
Maybe nobody said anything until now or maybe you just started posting spoilers. Read through the other posts by everybody else and you will find that nobody gives any plot lines away. Its good manners when posting on a film section not to give shit away because it ruins the experience. If you were looking forward to seeing a film and I gave the end away or key parts of the plot, you'd be rather pissed off. This is a good place to get a feel of what people think about a film, not to find out how the plot develops. Man on a ledge (2012) Well I bet it took them weeks to think up the title for this one. Sam Worthington stars in this light thriller by numbers. Performances are rather tv movie and the female actors are rather pretty, what a coincidence.... Every turn in the film is so obvious its like you're being spoon fed the story just incase you can't work it out. This film is insulting, predictable, shallow, unoriginal and very entertaining if you need something to mong out on after a shit day at work. Would I recommend this film? Only if you want to breathe out of your mouth instead of your nose for a night. When Sam Worhtington reads these scripts I wonder what he sees.
Zombieland: 8 Bill Murray's out of 10 I love that movie.

Whats so bad about girls being attractive? I really don't feel like spending two hours watching a bunch of fat, ugly hags. If I wanted to do that I'd go to Walmart or McDonalds and watch the local wildlife there instead.

But then again, it's a matter of selling pretty women and you are the perfect target for that it seems.
